Angry Birds

Can't seem to get angry birds to install on my phone. Running kaos froyo rom. Dosent show up in the market either. Anyone...

if you google or search with yahoo on your pc, you can download the apk of it and install it to your phone. It is like 12 or 14 megs, and to explain why you cannot get it, is because it does not show up on froyo roms for eris in the market. I finally took mine off my phone, it was fun to play but horrible to look at on an Eris. Barely any graphics are shown, level 10 and beyond was too big for the screen to show so the birds ended up looking like a dot because of the zoom out needed...There are plans later on down the road from the developers to produce a version for older phones like ours and the heros though...

I have downloaded the app from xda, not tough. It will not install. How can I install it? Tried app brain quick app Installer, onymous installer etc. Nothing works.

Try moving the .apk file to the root of your SD card. I did that with the beta 1 and it worked fine. It helps to keep Angry Birds on your sd anyways. Moving it to the phone somehow turns it into, from what I remember, 35+ mb of space.

If you are having issues playing the game with good quality, I suggest these steps.
1. Root your phone and install a custom rom. The kaos froyo v35 mod is excellent. You can find directions for that in Htc droid eris development in the forums. Rooting gives you the best performance and usage on your phone to its best capabilities.
2. Spend the 2 bucks and get SetCPU in the android market.
3. Fine tune your droid eris' SetCPU and ADW mods settings. I suggest googling tips and tricks on doing so. If I find the link I used I will post it.

Did you try installing the .apk file from the ROOT of your sd card yet? Download the file from my above post and try that one. Don't get mad about off topic posts if u havent tried yet. And they aren't off topic. Angry birds is a very demanding app so getting your phone performing well and supplying guidelines to do so is more of a help than none. If my posts and the other guys don't help, I don't know what will. So do what we mentioned and report back with what you did/ tried.

Netflix app

So the netflix app is only available to certain phones. Not our hd2

I'll be nice, but you should really learn to look/search better. Netflix does work on HD2.

Im not an idiot guys i found the apk but when i actually try to watch something it says that only certain devices are supported. Maybe you guys should be the one searching?

That's the thread with everyone posting which ROMs it is working on. It is not a device issue... it's a ROM issue if it's not working for you. We don't think you are an idiot Killa, it's just that it takes us longer to search for you and post the link than it does for you to just search yourself.

Works for me on MIUI and before on Hyperdroid CM7.

It does not appear to work on any Sense builds

I have switched the Verizon but I still have my hd2 android running MCCM SE V3.4 (FroyoStone Sense). Netflix is streaming flawlessly.

What ROM are you running? Any info you can give us to maybe help?
Netflix is amazing on my HD2. Streams high quality and buffering is almost not noticeable when I go forward or back. We have to help you get it running.

What I don't understand is why it doesn't work on Desire HD roms, it works for the Evo stock but just wiull not play for DHD. You select a movie and then it will go to the player screen and freeze for a second. Then it goes back to the que screen.
Hopefully that will be fixed because it was working fine with Typhoon CM7

[Q] HULU PLUS For the HD2???

So... of course having netflix on the hd2 is great, but what aout Hulu? I was hoping someone WAAAAYYYYYY smarter than me could figure this out. I have the Hulu plus app on my phone (dorimanx rom) but of course it says my phone is not supported. Is there anyone out there that knows how to repackage the app and make it work???

well... should i take no response to mean there is no one smarter than me...? if so... scary! ha

Help changing build.prop

Looking to change my build prop inorder to get gameloft games on my sell streak. Did some reading and the LG gx2 has the same screen res. what do I change exactly border for the market to understand my changs

Get a build.prop from the device and compare them. If you post the text of the build.prop of both devices, i will look on it.

I did a Google search and came up with lg p999 the star and I have changed it some of the gameloft games show up but won't let me download

well i need the build prop from the samsung tab and the lg gx2 from what i read i just want to get gameloft games on the streak i put a request in their forums and waiting to see if someone will put it up for me. i dont know what to put for values so i am waiting on that any help would be appreciated

My bad I can use that way to buy the games but I have already paid for a few of them through the market. And it won't let me download them even with my build prop altered the way they tell I too I bought order and chaos through the market for 99 cents nd want it on My steak. When I change my build prop it makes it so I can see them in the market but won't let me download.

I have an idea. You want to fake your device that the market think that you have a lg blabla, right? Every device is connected to a google account. But if you fake the build.prop theres no entry for your device in your g-account.
If im right, reloggin the google account and it could work.

No problem I think you should leave it as it is. You want to update these apps so you must be the "faked" device But! if there come other problems with the device fake, write here
Could you make a thread for the other guys here? With your changes and how it worked ?

I am getting a black screen. Did a Google search... Looks like this is an issue. Can't find a fix for this for the HTC One. Any help would be appreciated . TIA

Most of the time if a game or app is broken for a particular phone, it's up to the app developer to fix it.

Can't post the apk, but if you Google NFSMW Nexus 7 MOD you'll find a version that works for our phones.
It doesn't have the blur effect and it doesn't run completely lag free, but it's definitely playable..
Aside from that, don't expect a fix for it...this effects the DNA as well and they haven't fixed it for that phone yet. How long has it been?

After the crap EA has been pulling with their games on all platforms, I wouldn't expect much anyway. They've gone to hell a while ago. Hopefully their new ceo corrects things.
