Changes from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2:
Entire rom has been de-odexd.
An odex file is basically a chunk of source code that has already been extracted from the apk and put on /system/. This is done to speed up the first boot of a rom (you know how your first boot takes a long time... that's while it is extracting all of these dex files) and also to save space on /data/. Our stock sprint rom comes with this odex files to give you those benefits, however it also prevents us from "hacking" those files and modifying them. This build has taken all those odex files and injected them back in the apk's. So expect a slower first boot, and more space taken up on /data/, but you get benefits from it such as the vanilla lock screen being fixed and live wallpapers in Rosie.
XDA's custom HTC_IME v.25 (keyboard) has been added back in. This keyboard has a ton of features including voice input. I have included this keyboard and the stock one. To change which keyboard you use just do a long press on a text input field. (1)
Stock vanilla lock screen has been fixed again! To use it you can remove HtcLockScreen.apk manually or use one of the following fixes by flashing it as an update.zip in recovery.
Fix 1 only removes HtcLockScreen
Fix 2 removes HtcLockScreen and adds in the vanilla clock. This clock is required if you want to be able to turn off your alarms via the vanilla lock. DO NOT set an alarm in world clock or it will go off infinitely.
Fix 3 removes HtcLockScreen, adds in vanilla clock, and deletes HTC's world clock. Everything still works properly without it.
Fix 4 does all of the above but also removes HTC Music and HTC Album and puts in the vanilla Music and Album. This enables all of the buttons at the bottom of the vanilla clock to work.
They all wipe dalvik so expect a long reboot
Upgraded apps2sd to Darktremover 2.7 update 1 by tkirton. By default dalvik-cache is left on data. You can save space on data by typing "a2sd cache" in to an adb shell to have a2sd move your cache to your sdcard, but honestly I don't recommend it.
Added live wallpapers back to Rosie. . Keep in mind that you are using lwp "at your own risk." They may use more battery, they may cause wake issues. And only the lower end ones will work properly. This is not the fix that breaks opengl to allow you to use the more visual ones. Stick with the ones that just draw on the screen (a few are included).
Changed the phone's fingerprint from the passion to heroc. This was required to get all apps working before our fingerprint was official and in Google's servers.
Stock vanilla lock screen has been customized in the following ways:
Fixed to work properly by flipz
Emergency button showing up after airplane mode fix by flipz
Menu-menu to unlock disabled by flipz
Disabled haptic feedback during unlock thanks to jschisurf!
Clock / Sprint / other misc stuff removed thanks to jschisurf!
Disabled haptic feedback in the dialer thanks to jschisurf!
Removed Nexus launcher because of stability issues. (8, 14)
Added Launcher Pro Beta v0.2.
In order to use it you must disable HTC Sense as your default by going to Settings < Applications < Manage < HTC Sense < Clear Default. Then press the home button.
Launcher Pro is setup so that the market will notify you of updates and it will update it properly.
Resolved wifi tether error (16)
Removed HTC's Peep due to it causing high CPU usage while syncing
Added Twitter's official app. It has nearly identical widgets and phone integration as Peep.
Removed IM
Added Zoomfield live wallpaper because it works well on our phone

A data wipe should not be necessary if you are coming from Fresh Rom 2.1.x or Fresh Toast 2.x. However if you have any issues with it not booting, FC's, etc, then follow the instructions below.
What to expect / how to flash it / READ THIS :
Download and copy the zip to the root of your sdcard
Reboot to RA and do a data wipe / factory reset (REQUIRED)
You may also need to wipe sd:ext if you are having troubles booting.
If you are running Fresh Toast and ext4 then you'll need to partition back to ext3 if you want to use apps2sd
Pick flash zip from sdcard and select fresh-cdma-hero-2.1.zip
After it finishes flashing reboot. Expect the first boot up to take a while.
If it freezes during first boot then you were likely using a2sd from another rom. Unfortunately during earlier 2.x roms there were a few versions of a2sd floating around and now that is going to cause problems. If this happens to you (and you already did a factory reset like you should have) then you will need to boot in to RA and go to wipe and then Wipe SD:Ext Partition. This will delete all apps off your sdcard. You will want to reflash the rom if you have to do this or else you will be missing some apps from the rom.
When the phone boots and comes to the user setup screen I would recommend syncing your google account right away. I noticed an old bug creep back in where it gets stuck during sync. This seems to be avoided by adding your google account during setup.

I can confirm it... Just look around the site. Lots of the comments also mentions the word "Sprint". First i thaught this was a port cause i knew this ROM was for CDMA and i've always wanted to try it but it's not it's posted completely wrong...

here is a de-odexed ROM for the incredible that I put together, it has Launcher Pro and no HTC sense except what it needs to fully function. I have had no problems so far. this is for ROOT users and you must have ran the unrevoked REFLASH tool. this is for users that still want as senless of a ROM as possible but still be able to use some of the HTC apps.
put it on your sd card then boot into recovery, select -wipe data/factory reset then scroll down to -install zip from sdcard, then scroll once down to -choose zip from sdcard and then find the signed_070510_213150.zip and select it,

it has superuser installed and everything that was needed for root. it also has wireless N enabled. if you have problems please let me know and I will try to fix it. I am not a master chef or themer, so I may not be able to help on everything but I will try. I am using dsixda's kitchen so without it I would have been completely clueless. anyways big thanks to dsixda for the kitchen, and Daneshm90 for the de-odexing files over at xda, and especially the unrevoked team for getting the reflash tool out. this is beta so use at your own risk!

ok here is a ROM or actually a nandroid backup with JIT enabled, I could not get it to work any other way, when I cooked it into a new ROM it would always give me the bootloop but if restored from a backup i had JIT would work fine. so I had to take the datadata.img from an old backup and add it to a new backup.

this ROM is overclocked at 1.113 with wireless n and may or may not work for you, everything seems to be working fine for me, and if any app FC's on you you may have to uninstall then reinstall it. it has ADW Launcher because launcher pro kept FCing on me and would not work. I am getting around 10.110-10.936 MFLOPS in linpack and quadrant scores of around 700. it is the same ROM as the one above this minus launcher pro.
Intsall:
download the file and extract it and put it in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
boot into recovery select nandroid/restore and select the correct backup and let it do its thing.
once it restarts it will boot up to the lockscreen but will not run the initial setup program, so you will have to manually configure the settings.
after you restore to this you should not have to clear data or cache when installing one of my ROMs.

I have a few questions before I try it out.
Does GPS have satellite locks?
Auto-dim work?
Camera 8MP?
Internal store recognized?

yes everything works, it is a stock ROM that I de-odexed, took some, and added some apps to. I did notice that if you run the camera from inside of 3d gallery, it won't have camera as 8MP or let you switch to video recorder, but if you open the camera app it is just fine. unfortunately I can't fix the gallery camera issue I am not a Dev. maybe someone that knows what they are doing can fix that issue.

I'm not having good luck with this ROM at all...you can read all about it at droidsp0t.com/2010/07/05/jts-senseless-rom/.
I'd love for a few others to try this ROM and see if you get the same results as me.

Its working great for me. I have had no reboots so far and I can connect to my computer just fine. I did not wipe the cache which may make a difference.

mine runs fine, I was using the 0.6 over clocked 1.113 undervolt kernel, I am currently going through the 0.7 kernels and will post what ones cause problems and which ones run fine.

That's good news, i will have to give it another try without wiping my cache. Should that be noted, or are people wiping cache and not having an issue as well?

Looks good. Everything seems to work. My only problem is typing 'su' in adb gets you a nasty 'Permission denied' message which is followed by the Superuser app notifying you of a root request, lol. I'm not sure I have ever had that happen. Try changing your default.prop to match the following.

Is this rom overclocked by default? If it is...that's more than likely why my phone reboots with this. I can't even use hydras 1.15 uvoc kernel because my phone can't handle it. I have to step down to the 1.13ghz kernel.

no it isn't OCed by default, I didn't have any problems with the 1.115 kernel or switching from that to the 1.113 kernel, I don't know why you are having so much trouble with it, I would love to hear if other people have the same problems as well. I am not a dev so if you or someone else can suggest what I need to do if anything to fix that please let me know, any help is greatly appreciated.

did go into settings/applications/developement and check the usb debugging box? my next ROM will have that enabled by default.

did you include some Dalvik Jit components in this ROM? It seems to have some of the files in the ROM... What kind of MFLOPS do you get with this ROM in Linpack? Is it much higher than 7 or 8.0?

It would be nice, but it also wouldn't be "Leaf" anymore because it would be crunching phone memory and slightly slower.
I'm sorry but themers should use WildPuzzleROM instead.

This is a boring rom, and i am getting bored of the wildfire. Where is the creativity devs, we need a variety. All this roms are the exact same, except for the cyangogen rom. Create something wildly different.

I really like the speed of this ROM, and even after installing a **** load of apps the respond time is amazing.

Go to Language & keyboard in settings, enable it there. After that, in any text field, long tap and you will be able to change the input method.

Keep in mind that I'm not a ROM dev, as I said, this is just a repack. You should wait for Gingerbread which will come any time soon.
Edit: Why don't you become a ROM dev yourself? That way you could create something "wildly different"

Force close
Settings FC when trying to change lock screen BG, also when trying to change wallpaper through settings>personalize>wallpaper.
changing wallpaper from menu works fine.

Installation
In order to use this ROM you must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed - see my ClockworkMod Beta post for details.
Baseband 1035.21_20110622 is recommended, available in this topic.
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card (/sdcard/_ExternalSD) - you must used a physical microSD card!
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card - your device will auto convert to EXT4 on installation. You MUST use a physical microSD card!
If you have problems with Market licencing, check your device date!
Upgrading
A WIPE IS MANDATORY IF YOU ARE COMING FROM STOCK / MCR Fr3 OR EARLIER! Apologies, but this is unavoidable for this release. I recommend using Titanium Backup to back up your data. Wipe BEFORE installing the ROM.

what is the meaning of "odexed"?

Hi paul... I have tried your Fr5 and it is damned fast and smooth!! I haven't tried the new Fr6 but i would really love to have just the stock android lockscreen into the Fr5 version.. Is it possible to do so? Is there any files that i can copy and install just to have the stock lockscreen on my phone?
To be frank at 1st I have regretted to buy my LG 2X and i feel that my previous HTC phones was faster and have no lagginess as to my LG with the stock rom... But after flashing your custom roms I have now feel that this phone have a great potential to be the best and the fastest phone on the market right now..
Lastly, I wish to thank you for the great roms that you have made for the LG Optimus 2x community..

Paul, I notice the clock of the lockscreen on your screenshots is one hour ahead from the top-right clock. Is this a known issue?

My score has gone down a full 3000 points in An3DBenchXL (tested it on FR4), from 37k to 34K.
Ran it twice both in FR4 and in FR6 (vanilla edition). Any guesses as to why?

Yep the game monster madness seems to run slower here too, but not sure about that.
Else i got a FC when trying to enter keyboard parameters (any of them).

Nice! - Have installed & configured, looking good so far.
Haven't really tried any games yet except pocket legends which seems to run as before, did the SD tools test though which trippled the read speed

In the contacts app, hit menu -> more -> show groups -> configure what contacts you want to show

Great ROM, but some times my Launcher freezes, and then I have to restart the phone to get it to work
Any ideas?

Does this ROM support the LG SU660 (Korean optimus 2X Version)? And could you please release the video guide to upgrade to this ROM?

Alright guys enjoy another ROM for the M. This is just a first release, let's make it better. I only ask one thing... Don't ask me to change the theme or don't ask me to release a ROM without theming. You can use the stock ROM for that This is themed and tweaked to my taste and I hope some of you like it enough to run it on your own device.
This ROM contains most of the Verizon bloat in it. I plan to release an Aroma powered version so the user can choose what they want to install. Or maybe just separate, debloated versions.
By "Verizon" bloat I really mean Verizon specific applications, like its backup assistant, visual voicemail, etc... not the spamware they loaded the phone with. Stuff that might actually be useful to Verizon customers.
I'd like to say that it's safe to restore your userdata partition (backup) over whatever ROM slot you install this ROM to and be back in business in no time, IF YOU ARE already running the stock JB ROM...

Downloading and will install it . How good is battery life?. I see lot of black i your theme, does it have inverted gapps in it? .
On the lighter side have you checked any other ROM's available in this forum. I just asked so as to know more about battery life because that is the most important factor for me

Battery life is excellent because it's built on the stock base. Been running it on my phone for the last week and a half..
No inverted gapps... But the contacts app is dark as seen in the pics. Gmail is still white..

Thanks for ROM. Installed it on seperate slot. Will post my experience tomorrow. Can I install inverted gapps at the time of installation along with the above zip file ?

You can do whatever you want The ROM has disabled package signature checking, so you can install APKs from pretty much any ROM.

Best ROM so far for Droid Razr M.
1)Solved the problems of ciphering and Mobile tethering. Even though they can be done even after installing any ROM it is even inbuilt in this.
2)Secondly theme you used is amazing. Blue color is so cool and pleasing to eyes.
3) It detected all the settings all by itself. I installed all other ROM's and none had done that.
4) Reboot is included in power button option
5) No problems whatsoever with FC's as they are so natural in other ROM's. I dont want to criticize other ROM's but this is the best first build I have used ever. Zero problems.
6) However one application is missing. Application to browse files is removed. Even though its not a big issue it can be different environment altogether for some people. Hope that you kindly include it.
7) Bottom Navigation buttons sizes have been reduced which implies more screen space. I always thought that this modification should be done to as a default to many ROM's ( just saying ) because stock buttons are too big

First problem faced . " unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" . This happened when I started my device for first time. As I am Living outside US I got SIm card notification and then this this error. I am unable to open Contacts and Phone app because of this error . Can you kindly explain what it means and how to prevent it from showing up again ?

Hmmm seemed to install fine, booted fine, but doesn't get a data connection of any sort. Possibly related to the acore process that force closes when I try to launch phone or contacts app..
Anyone have any this issue? Installed to romslot 1.

Yeah I gotta work on fixing that acore FC that happens for some people. It seems to happen when you do a "dirty" install, without wiping data first. I'll work on a solution....

You have to have adb installed on your computer. Try googling.. "how to create a logcat"
