Just curious.... What is everyone supposed to do with this info?
I went to work today, you don't see me telling a Android Development Forum about that? (this doesn't count)
I also peed a couple of times already today but you don't see me starting a new post in a Android Development Forum, do you?
In all seriousness, please help me to understand why you would tell thousands of people that you downloaded a update for your phone?
Please tell me what I, a complete stranger to you, are supposed to do in response to this very personal information you have so thoughtfully shared with us all?
I humbly await your response
You are behind. We all downloaded 3.0, Gingerbread last night.

because the XDA Forums Mod Application is rather lengthy and wouldn't let me submit without providing some links to places I've been helpful, which I can't provide because I am a migrater from PPCGeeks and don't have any helpful posts
Otherwise I would move them myself
I have been Reporting all threads that are meaningless and/or in the wrong section as it says to do in the stickied topic though

Hi,
I have compiled amule, a port of emule for linux, on atrix webtop. You can find the link below.
Prerequesites:
- webtop 2.3.5 fruitcake
- fixed apt-get dependicies. Jaunty distro must not be broken: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1192488
- working lxterminal
- amule_2.3.0~svnr9928-1_armel.deb ---> http://www.multiupload.com/FPV807LHMA
Steps:
Open lxterminal;
[email protected]:/$ sudo dpkg -i --root=/osh amule_2.3.0~svnr9928-1_armel.deb
then run;
[email protected]:/$ amule
If there is any dependicy problems, feel free to post here.
Nice job!
I don't use webtop but this should be useful.
And...maybe you can make another port of torrent

It can be used as file sharing. legality is related with the person using it. this is also a package in ubuntu distros.

This is a tool, not a warez. There are plenty of legitimate uses for BitTorrent.

So the hardware in the sgs3 mini is that different.
I just checked the cyanogen mod github and it seems that no development related to this device branch has been created yet.
So well, let's wait and see ^^
This phone doesn't even have custom recovery image. We'll have to wait for that first.
It takes several months for a dev to come up with a working buggy alpha version. Just use Titanium to debloat the phone in the meantime.

get a nexus 7
really??...we can install Ubuntu on our 2x???
http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone I hope we will can in future. Today Canonical released the mobile ubuntuOS. A smartphoneOS for arm based mobiles using Android drivers...let's hope that they will support our phones.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch
The awesome thing is that UbuntuOS works as smartphone OS on a mobile, but if you connect the mobile to a monitor/TV you get the full fledged ubuntu experience.

I'm too curious:silly:
The Galaxy Ace normally doesn't support apps like Temple Run and such because of its hardware and OS. In some places I heard that upgrading to jelly bean would've allowed more compatibility. But I still can't even look up the apps on the Play store. Isn't there anything I can do to run previously incompatible apps on my Ace?

No. You can only look for some ported versions if the app only support armv7. If a app only support android 4.0 and up a update will help.

I see. Is there a reliable place for ported apps? If not, how can you be sure of which ones will work? I saw a guy post an APK for Temple Run claiming it worked on his Ace, but when I tried the app kept closing saying that it can't run.
