Connect your phone in usb, mass mode, then transfer the files on to the root of your SD card and flash them through recovery.

i take a picture, i go into the phone when on the PC and it is not there
Anyone got any ideas please tell me
Hi.
You can't use Odin to install the market.
Odin can only inject rom / kernel / modem -- not the apps.
If you have a SD card in your phone then computer-side you should have two drives mounted in "my computer". One for internal SD, one for external SD (your real and physical micro-sd card).
Your pictures are on the "internal SD card", /DCIM/camera/
Well I'm not sure about this but you should go to the developement section and then to the cyanogen mod thread. There you should find a link to a download saying "Gapps". You should flash this in CWM. Now I'm not sure about this as it may only work on cyanogen.
Another thing you coild do is install a fresh stock rom or a custom rom.
Hope this helped.

or download sgs tools apply market fix.
or search google for vending.apk (i think thats the market)
I'm on Cyanogenmod nightly 52 and simply can't connect my phone to my computer : / When I plug it into the usb-port and active file transfer from the drop-down menu the computer still does not recognize the phone or the memory card. I've installed the united mobile driver (or whatever the name was..), do I need to install anything else or...? Help appreciated!
EDIT: the usb file transfer works flawlessly with for example other Froyo based roms
The file system is organized differently on cm7, in relation to stock I think.
Do you have an external sd in the phone? If yes, where are all of your files kept, in int or ext?

Hi,
I am trying to update ATT Captivate from Froyo to Gingerbread. I first copied zip file into sd and flash back to stock JF6 rom. Then I did a facotry reset which erase everytthing on SD and I forget to copy zip file back again. I then used Apex flasher to flash GB 2.3.3 bootloader and the kernel. Now I can get into CWM recovery but there is not zip file I can flash. Does this happens to anyone before and what is the solution?
Thanks
you should be able to mount your sd card from cwm and drag the zip from your computer. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I saw that it was possible on one of the mobile tech reviews.

Yes it works.
I do it all the time while testing, get finished compiling an apk and throwing it in a zip, then get too exited and boot into recovery before I copy it over
Mounts and storage> mount USB storage

Hi guys,
I want to root and flash custom roms on my Galaxy Note that is currently on stock Touchwiz rom with android 4.0.3.
Do I really need an external SD card for some reason? Can't I just install the files for rooting and flashing custom roms on my internal storage (and in which folder should I put them?)
I've rooted my HTC Magic and HTC Desire Z in the past, but have no experience doing these things on a Samsung device.
Thanks!

No need of External Card. You can do all the things from your Internal SD Card
I just tried to root my Galaxy Note using this method http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-no...on-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-no-computer-required/.
I used an external sdcard as shown in the video and did everything he did in the video.
I just got into the stock bootloader and managed to install CMW.zip from there. But once i’m in there my phone just can’t seem to find the 3 zipfiles that I’ve put into /sdcard/external_sd. When I got in CMW and I clicked “choose zip from sd card” and then clicked the ‘external_sd’ folder I got the message ‘No files found’. When I clicked “choose zip from internal sd card” I got “E: Can’t Mount /emmc/”.
What’s the problem? I already tried unmounting & mounting my sdcard in CMW.. I also see the 3 files when I’m browsing through my system and storage folders..
Thank you!!!

In some CWM version, internal and external SD location is swapped. Maybe you can try opening internal SDcard to locate your external-SD card.

First of all
This method is dangerous.
Read above what jonpaslim said.
Follow Root Galaxy Note from second line on my signature for safe Rooting.
Thank you all. I was using CWM recovery v5.8.1.5. I'm gonna try a different kind of method. Thank you for warning me. I'll be around to tell you I succeeded.
Big thanks

Thank you guys! SO..
So all I should do is:
Reboot SGN into "download mode" (Vol down + Home + Power))
- Start pc ODIN
- Click the PDA button, and select the "SGN_XX_OXA_KJ1_FACTORYFS.tar" file (I downloaded it from the Dr.Ketan guide)
- Connect the SGN to computer
- Click the START button
- Wait for the phone to reboot TWICE
- Done ---> My phone is rooted and I can continue using my phone now with the stock ICS Rom that was already on it???
Thanks everyone for your help! :good:

Hello friends! Today I did something really dumb on my i9000. I was about to flash a new rom and formatted the sd card.. Of course the files of the rom i was about to flash are gone and now when i try to mount usb storage to transfer the files again my computer doesn't recognize the phone.
The drivers were working before all this happened so i don't know how to fix this. I'm running devil touch recovery v6.0.2.7.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks for your help.
2 things you can do one is to use a program called recuva by pirifrom (Google it and Google a how to) to get the data back off the SD card assumming u have not over written it and u have a sdcard to USB converter.
The other is to uninstall the drivers from PC and install them from fresh there should be guilds here someware
