Hi all. Just installed Serendipity! I am loving musicmod, but can't seem to get it to read the internal music folder structure properly. Did some searching...but...would anyone have a link to an appropriate thread?

Sorry for not supplying enough info. Here's the issue.
PowerAmp "Albums" tab can read /mnt/sdcard/music exactly the way the subfolders are structured. Songs and album folders are in order and complete.
MusicMod "Albums" tab shows split album folders and duplicate songs.
Can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this.

Ok...somehow the tags got screwed up. Now I have to figure out why some can be edited, and some cannot. Back to work!

This happened to me too. Just clear data in settings > applications > manage applications.

Yeah it's weird but after you install the new Google Music you have to clear data then you can go into the app's setting and connect your Google account.
They still didn't add the abc thing when you scroll with the scroller thing. That makes it so much easier to find a song, especially when driving. I really wish they'd add that/fix it. Any other app that has lists has the abc thing. I still really like the new app though. Much faster and smoother.

It looks a hell of a lot better.. but I don't think I would use it. Player pro is perfect to me.

Album Art?
It doesn't appear to download album art. Anyone else having issues with the Album Art or is there a special way to install/download it? Thanks.
This app does not download art. It will display art already associated with the mp3. Try using the app iTag, it let's you edit any mp3 tag and add artwork to it as well. Hopes this helps.
Wanting my album art to show up in Music. The images are .Jpg located inside the zip files. I've tried downloading a converting program but I can't get'er going for the life of me! Is there an app or something else that makes this process any easier. Thanks

If you would be interested in a more feature loaded music player, and can spare an expensive Starbucks coffee one day, I suggest buying PowerAmp. It has a full EQ as well as many other features...such as album art search, download, and application.
I came across the power of this tonight actually...
I have a friend in Baltimore whose friend is trying to start a rapping while still in high school and my friend hand drew the album art. Well, PowerAmp managed to find his mixtape online and download the proper, matching, hand-drawn album art. I was baffled as it wasn't there a week ago. It's quite nice and it well worth the $5 or so it costs.
I use poweramp and I love it. Got a great EQ on it too.

There is an app called "itag" that allows you to edit mp3's info including the album art.

poweramp can do that too. Unless it changes it in the poweramp database rather than i3dtag
Is there a way to create separate albums on the app? When I synced my photos from iPhoto using bridge for mac, it synced the photos under one album! Is there a way to segregate pictures to different albums? Thanks!

Use file manager app like Astro to create a folder and move the photo manually

Thanks but I'm hoping Sony would do something about it. It's too much hassle creating folders using the file manager if you have hundreds and hundreds of photos

I misses HTC's gallery app where u can move pictureS, creates album and hide albums....

Try QuickPic from the market. It's a third party app, of course, but can do all that and much more.
I have all my pictures in folders, but they are displayed all in one place

Yep with you on that one. I had problems with hundreds of icons showing because of music. Then uploaded the music through the sony media software, all the album art is still there, and no more album art showing in the gallery
So I downloaded some wallpapers from my drop box and some music but it didn't do up in my gallery or my music in the player. I downloaded es file explorer and I could see them there but I can't seem to find them in the apps..anyone having this problem? And how could I fix
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
You could just move them with es file explorer in to another folder that the apps do see.
Tried that..still doesn't work

Same issue happened to me bro. I had no idea how to fix it. No one knew how to fix it either. Hadto reset my phone and resetting with back up gives to same result. Had to use NO back up. Kept the media files though. Try going in to sdcard/android/data and see if there is a nomedia file in there. Delete if its present. Do it from the computer or enable hidden files in whatever file explorer you use. Report here if it works. I was never able to try it.

Ok so the pictures I figured out that you have to show all albums in the gallery..one downfall is that the gallery will show everything from drop box to Facebook..music I'm going to figure it
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Just realized in the gallery app you can customize what the gallery shows..don't forget to hit all pictures
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Well looks like you got an easy fix. wouldn't work for me. Mine just would not work. Whether I looked in all pictures or downloads they wouldn't appear. Quickpic could see them but not camera or gallery. Ah well doesn't do it anymore now. just hope it doesn't happen again and I have to reset once more.

So in short I have a couple of revealing pics of my girlfriend and a movie of her stripping, LOL... On my old phone I was able to make a folder, place a file in there called .no media and it would hide everything...
The .nomedia works for the pictures now but the one video still appears. How can I hide this as well?

I will tell you if you send them to me

Rename the extension of the video to something that isn't a video. e.g. .mpg to .bak
use root explorer to open when you want to watch -> open with certain app.
Yea no problem, I'll go ahead and send them right to you... Will the movie still work if I rename it to a .back file?

If you use vlc to open it, it should work

Apps use extensions to identify what files they should open, they do not mean that they can only open those files. So yes, just rename, open it with, and then pick your favorite video app.
I would like to know also. on the g3, i was able to lock the pictures/videos with a password. Im sure there are many apps that can do this, but which is the best?
Such a hassle. Renaming it didn't work I'm not sure why. I just deleted it. I see my girlfriend without clothes on enough anyways
