[Q] Can't connect my unlocked T-Mobile HD7 to Bell Canada - HD7 General

Hi everyone,
I just bought a T-Mobile unlocked HTC HD7 on ebay to switch from my HTC Touch on Bell Canada's network. The thing is: it can't seem to find the network and when I call Bell, they told me that they can't see the phone trying to connect to their servers.
I have a brand new SIM card, activated in their store. The phone works well, I can connect to the Wifi and browse the web.
Any info? Thanks in advance.

Hey, well sorry to tell you but the tmobile HD7 isn't compatible with the Bell network..youd need a Bell, at&t, or Telstra HD7. This thread explains it...

It sucks mate but best option would be to throw it back on eBay and then buy a Bell one

Thanks a lot, I just tough every phones were the same.
I should have read a little more before buying it!

Not a problem, hope you can get yourself a Bell one..its a great phone and a refreshing OS to use.

Got wrong diamond? please help!

I bought a brand new looking htc diamond today and i think i screwed up big time. I am with T-mobile and when i got home i discovered gthat my diamond does not have place for a sim card. It says sprint on top of it, does that mean its not a comatible phone to T-mobile or is there a some sort of workaround? Would i be able to use it somehow on metropcs? Any help would be appreciated, hate tho think i just wasted the money on the phone that i will not abe able to use((
Not familiar with T-Mobile put it does sound like you purchase a CDMA Device which doesn't use the GSM (sim card) technology. There is no way around this other then reselling it and picking up the right device.
Could you post a photograph or a link to the brand of the phone? Is it HTC? Is a Diamond? Sure? It sounds a bit strange...
I never haven't seen a CDMA device so...
Where did you buy it from?
How hard is this?
He bought the Sprint CDMA HTC Diamond. It won't work on T-Mobile, so just resell it and purchase a GSM one.
yes your phone is not gsm
send it back or sell it on

So I plan on buying an HD7 @ Bell (no contract), will I be able to unlock the phone and use it on Telus carrier?
I've already searched the forum but I did not find my answer.

Yes. The bands for Telus, Rogers and Bell are all the same. Their systems are a bit different but the cellular bands are all the same.

[Q] IF I buy a BELL HD7 will it work on Telus?

I currently own an HTC Hero on Telus and it's pretty much fried. It won't mount to PC (no matter what mode), can't get into boot loader, can't flash, super user crashes, etc. So, I'm looking at purchasing a new HD7 for 180$ .
I'm a telus customer, and the HD7 is Bell phone. It is not unlocked.
Can I just push my SIM card into it, or will I need to unlock it? If so, is there a better way than paying someone 30$ to do it?
Thanks.
I sent you an email. I believe they are on the same network. Back when I was phon e shopping the bell dealer said for me to buy a used bell or telus phone and he d activate it for mw.

[Q] How to install a Mobile Hotspot on HD7

I have an HTC HD7 on the Bell Mobility network in Canada. I was previously a Blackberry user and made the move to a Windows Phone versus the iPhone. The HD7 I have is a used unit to bridge me (with no contract) to some of the newer phones coming out in the Fall. I am in desperate need to have a Mobile Hotspot feature similar to what I had on my Blackberry.
Appreciate your thoughts and hope someone has a solution. I'm new at this so you can safely assume I know nothing about hacking a phone.
hd7 has mobile hotspot, its in settings under internet sharing.
if you dont have it, theres probably an update for your phone.
Unfortunately the recent update did not provide me with that option. I think certain carriers turned on the feature.
I am in the same boat; Bell, HD7, no internet sharing. It seems that Bell blocked it in the 8107 update they rolled out. Also, there is no Windows Phones at all on their website anymore, with no news that they are carrying any specific ones in the future either. It looks like I will have to leave Bell and move to Telus in all likelihood.
I hope that's not the case with Bell. I moved my team to iPhones and I held back to stay with the Windows phone because of HTC and the OS which I've come to like. I'm going to unlock my phone today. want to be able to install xda files. Do you know how to do that?
I do not. I attempted to, but ran into issues with the unlocking process due to the tool I was using did not have any settings for Bell. If you have any luck, let me know please.
Surprisingly I called a bunch of folks today who said they could't unlock an HD7. Told me to go on eBay and purchase a code. I have my wireless consultant in on Tuesday to activate all the iPhones. She has some guys that will have it unlocked and I'll ask them about the XDA files.
Have to find a solution or I might have to make the switch to an iPhone. Can't believe there isn't anyone on this forum that hash't got a fix.
Hi,
Can someone confirm if the mobile hotspot feature is indeed available on the HTC hd7 from Bell.
A friend is selling a used HD7 for dirt cheap and I'm considering buy it. If it doesn't have the hotspot function, I don't want to waste my money.
Thanks in advance,
The Bell HD7 does not have the mobile hot spot. looking to get an unlocked ATT HD7 or a Titan II.

[Q] Will virgin sim work in EE locked phone

I've bought a second hand HTC One being delivered tomorrow, it is apparently locked to EE but i was wondering if anyone had successfully used a virgin sim in this circumstance.
I would much rather go onto virgin as the deals are great compared to EE/orange/tmobile..
Thanks in advance
Jennifer
Has nobody tried this?
