[Q] GameBoid Choppy on SGS? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anyone else is experience really choppy performance when running GameBoid on their SGS? I used to have a Desire and that ran all games fine but anything i'm throwing at my SGS just runs horrible. Im running Darky's V9.5 with Lagfix Enabled.. just makes no sense when the phone runs N64 and PSX games fine. Any suggestions would be great
Thanks

How does it run under a stock rom would be my first question .
If ok then its the rom you installed .
Second would be as always to try a factory reset .

I'll give a stock ROM a go and see how that works

Nesoid Problem

[Q] good lagfix recommendations

hi guys
so i have just flashed the jpjpg fw and i think its suppose to be official froyo for africa/middle east
anyway what lag fix do you recommend
last one i tried was the voodoo that cam with the darky steel rom
phone was doing ok till like 1 hour after boot then it starts to lag
most notable when switching between apps and in the muxic player and galary the thumbnails needs aloooong time to reload
also internet was really slow and unusable
now on the jpjpg what is the best lag fix that gives a good smooth phone
dont care about benchmark scores as they dont mean anything
the real smooth experince is what i want
please give me suggestions
oh and if there is no compatible lag fixes with this fw ill try downloading I9000XFJP7 again but still need recommendations
thanks

[Q] Periodic slowdowns in all apps

I have a Galaxy S i9000M, the Bell Vibrant in Canada. Ever since I got it I get slowdowns while I'm using it. I've had this happen most noticeably in a few games but it also happens in the browser, market, etc.
I'm currently running Darky's ROM 9.2 with Voodoo lag fix but I've also run Darky's 9.1, tried turning on and off the lag fix, and also had this happen with the stock firmware.
When these slowdowns occur everything becomes less responsive and screen updates slow a great deal, both in games and scrolling.
Once a slowdown has started I can either wait it out and it will sometimes resolve itself. Otherwise I usually drag down the notification bar or open a new window and return to where I was and everything's fine. For example in Robo Defense when this occurs I simply open the in-game options menu and immediately return to the game and everything's usually fine for a bit again.
Can anyone suggest anything that could cause this or any way to search for others having an issue like this? I've tried searching around and haven't really found anyone with an issue that sounds like mine.
Problem before or after first custom rom flash .

Both before and after. With stock firmware I had this issue then also with both Darky's ROM 9.1 and 9.2 I still have this issue.
SD card failure ??? multiple posts on here might be worth a look at .

I tried this on my One and it closes randomly. Works fine on my kindle and touchpads running CM 10.1. Might have a problem on 4.3. I am going to downgrade to 4.2.2 and see if the One still has issues.
works great on mine. I tried new super mario bros and professor layton, both are incredibly smooth. First DS emulator that works well
