I rooted my NC and installed the new Phiremod V5.3 Rom. Everything works fine but I noticed the lock screen has a regular low res phone lock screen in a rectangle on the top of the screen and it is on the wallpaper. It has a lock screen similar to this: tapa.tk/mu/63c98ca7-9299-1b0e.jpg but it doesn't stretch it. Instead it just places it on top of the wallpaper.
Is there anyway to make it into a regular lock screen?
go to spare parts, uncheck compatibility

Hi,
Currently using a HTC desire on cyanogen. I'm using 3 home screens with Launcher pro plus. since i have 3 screens the wallpaper will shift depending on which screen i am on. For example if i'm on my most left screen, the screen will focus on the left on the wallpaper. if i'm on the middle , the focus will be on the middle of the wallpaper. and so on..
my question is, how come when i'm at my lockscreen, the focus is on the right portion of my wallpaper even if i turned my screen off on the center home screen?
i've tried switching wallpapers and that doesnt seem to work.
i had the same problem but it was fixed after applying the wallpaper again
Same thing on Samsung Captivate also w/ LauncherPro (free)
Has anyone found a viable solution for this? Reapplying the wallpaper doesn't resolve this. Rebooting works but a more elegant solution would be nice. Not even sure how it shifted to begin with.
Im running VEGAn-Tab RC1 with latest VTL launcher.
I'm showing a 1/2" black band around the edge of the desktop wallpaper which I want to get rid off. I see my background under this black "frame".
It's driving me a little crazy and I can't figure out if this is a display setting or my Gtab is having a problem.
Any suggestions how to get rid of this frame is appreciated.
I think it's the docks, where you can drag apps onto it, they can be toggled off by menu -> more -> VTLSettings-> UI Settings -> Left/right-side Dockbar Toggle

Click to collapse
You can also disable the dock background so you don't get the frame look
Thanks frjj and Im_Gumby, that did it. No more wasted real estate on my new Gtab.
Hello folks,
I switched minimal touch's adw for go launcher, and I also added go locker.
The good part about go locker is that it gives you a way to lock your STR with number code (iphone style) or a pattern (android style). I also tried different themes.
Besides the original theme, all others leave a ghost on the screen, and most words that are placed above the ghost show up thinner! Pattern locking does the same on the pattern ghost (this one was hard to guess, but my pattern was quite obvious, and had the same effect (thinner fonts).
Ok, standard theme and number locking was good, but go locker also increased battery usage. Left my nook with the screensaver on during weekend, at 50% on Friday, and by Monday morning, during my morning commute, the battery was already gone. Didn't even had the chance to turn it on to check.
Removed it and battery life is back to normal.
Had anyone had similar experience with go locker? Is there any other suitable locker for STR?
i hope i can help, but you can do search in the forum, i have seen posts talking about that> ^_^
Hi guys
Wondered if someone might be able to help. I have just started using Minimalistic text, and I love it. What I want to do is use the clock widget on my lock screen. I am running ARHD 51. I know I cant add it to the first default lock screen on sense, but can add it to the side screen. But that is no good as it doesn't come up straight away when you wake the phone. I have managed to go into the system app folder and backed up the htc sense lock screen, and then uninstalled it, this has given me the default android lock screen. By doing this I was hoping I might be able to add widgets to the very first screen, but it wont let me change it at all. I want to try and avoid using a third party lock screen from the play store and stick with the originals if poss, I use the Greenpower app to toggle the Data and wifi when I lock my screen, but third party apps don't work to well with it.
So can anybody help me get the minimalistic text clock onto the lock screen.:fingers-crossed:
Some of you may be familiar with my typical home screen layout and custom wallpapers that I make on my PC. Well, I'm now experiencing issues with applying wallpapers to my home screen. Everything is slightly off, and not aligned properly. It appears that the phone is "zooming in" the wallpaper as it sets. Like, I'll have a border separating the notification bar area and my home screen but when applying the wallpaper that border is moved further up into the notification area. Like I said, the wallpaper seems to be "zooming in" as I set the wallpaper to my home screen.
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime. 12x12 grid. No dock.
I tried using Apex Launcher and ran into the exact same issue.
I've restarted the launcher. Restarted the phone. Used different photo apps to apply the wallpaper to the home screen. Nothing has fixed this. I'm not sure what else to try. If anyone here has any idea on why wallpapers are distorted (zoomed in a bit) as I apply them to my home screen, please help. Thanks!
ETA: Added two screen shots with a specific wallpaper that I found online to help show you what I'm talking about. When I see the preview of what setting the wallpaper will look like, it doesn't apply that way after setting the wallpaper.
Sweet, baby Jesus! I found the solution!
Please let this be a PSA for everyone who may run into this issue. The culprit was that stupid "Motion Effect" option while using the One UI launcher. You have to make sure when switching back to it from a third party launcher like Nova that you choose the "always" option so that it's your default launcher (stock launcher). Then when you do that and choose to apply a wallpaper, you'll see the "Motion Effect" option right under the image. Uncheck that stupid thing and your wallpapers will not longer "zoom in" like they did before.
Now, everything is lined up as it should!
