Some of you may already know this, but this is a great LiveWallpaper located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=643313
I know it's hard to find decent LWPs to work for our Eris', but this one works flawlessly on KaosFroyo and wanted to share it with you. If you have Froyo, you have to visit the official website in the link and click on the dl link below the barcode (since our scanners don't work due to the partially broken camera).

How did you install it? I'm running WW 4.6 Cyanogen 5.08.
Download it to your sd card then open the apk with a file manager (astro, root explorer, etc). Once it says it's installed, go home then menu > wallpaper. Choose Live Wallpapers and pick it from there. Then you can set it the way it's already set up or you can change its settings (number of droids, sensitivity, background, etc). Hope you can figure it out, it's awesome!
Very cool.

i also have an ipod too, shoot me!
i like the fact i can run both on my winmo phone. not possible the other way around.
Anyone try this? The full version launched today looks awesome! I got the APK but I am still waiting for my gtab, installing on phone now =D
For wat its worth, I installed it on my Incredible and pretty much ruined my phone. All I got was a black screen and I had accidentally clicked the box saying "Use SPB3D everytime" so I couldn't get around it. Luckily I had a nandroid backup...
Tried on my GTAB even though the page on the Android market says tablets are not supported..
And yeah.. no go..
It also didn't work with my Nexus One.
Bummer I was waiting for this to come out.
=o(
Edit: See post #6
no go for me as well...
I used SPB aoftware previously, and loved their UI. As far as this new 3D launcher, SPB noted that they do not support tablet platform.
It Does Work on the GTAB (sorta)
This is a demo video of SPB Shell 3D Beta
This is a modified fixed version for incompatible devices
I HAVE TO STRESS THIS NOW!, I DO NOT CONDONE SOFTWARE PIRACY!
I bought the paid version for my N1 and it didn't work at first but my 15 mins expired so I wound up keeping it. I flashed CM7RC4 and tried it again and it worked so I'm happy about that.
But the curiousity was killing me so I had to try it out on the GTAB
Sorry about the wobbly video, I used my N1 to record.
The launcher does have its drawbacks:
I have yet to explore the launcher completely so there may be more drawbacks I haven't discovered yet but it does not support live wallpaper and it does support auto rotate while in desktop mode
So there you have it.. It does work on the GTAB.. sorta!

The interface looks kinda cool. I don't know how functional it is or if I would use it though.
How did you get it to work on the Gtab in any case?
I had no luck with vegan 5.5.1 and Clemsin's kernel.

After getting the apk file on my device.
I closed all data connections (Wi-Fi, 3G, 2G, EDGE) all outside internet connections.
Installed the apk. After installation was done I pressed the home key.
A dialog window popped up asking which launcher I wanted to use.
I chose SPB.
The software proceeded to load.
A dialog window popped saying the software was not activated and would I like to activate it now?. I chose Yes.
Since there was no connection to the internet activation skipped an it proceeded to finish loading the software.
A dialog window popped up saying my device was not supported.
I pressed ok and it closed ( it went back to ADW-EX )
I powered down completely, then started my device.
Upon completion of startup I slid the unlock key and a dialog window popped asking what launcher I wanted to use. I chose SPB.
With all data connections still closed the activation window popped up again.
I chose yes, the software loaded and another dialog window popped saying my device was unsupported.
I waited a few minutes before pressing the OK box (around five minutes)so the software can continue to load in the background.
I checked the OK box and Bingo.. my desktop had SPB loaded and working,
the process is tedious I know..
Just to point out I take NO CREDIT for this. I found the fixed apk floating around the web with instructions on how to install and decided to give it a try.
And again I need to stress this out.. I DO NOT CONDONE SOFTWARE PIRACY!
I tried to find the site with the instructions but it was apparently pulled yesterday shortly after I got SPB working.

Drawbacks
1. Non-rotating
2. Icons automatically move up. Meaning you can't place them anywhere.
3. No 4x4 weather unless you use the panel one.
4. Can't resize anything.
5. Other things I'm sure, but I'm at work so I had to make this post snappy.

There are actually several different names out there for the modified apk but the one I can remember off the top of my head was Spb_Shellfix.apk from "mydroid.info".

Looking forward to running it on my xoom though and hopefully my tbolt again if they can make it suck less juice.

Thanks, I will probably reconsider the purchase. Love the bolt but the battery could be better.

Thats wierd. I see no changes in battery life with SPB launcher on my NexusS running CM7 rom.

I have SPB shell for my DroidX and I can verify that it does not install on my Xoom. I tried side loading and adb install and both times the installation failed. I think the 3D shell would look great on the Xoom but overall, I find the functionality pretty poor compared to the free launchers out there. I bought it on an impulse and I'll keep it in case a tablet version is released but once you start to configure it, it really is lacking in functionality.
It seems to be working on mine...
I didn't install from the market and I will send the apk if you want.
I loaded it on my N1 last night and it promptly quit working after it couldn't find a market purchase, so disable all data before installing the apk. Supposedly the app checks the market every hour until it can confirm a receipt, and I heard there is a command line you can send via adb to disable it from further checking, but I haven't seen it yet.
I heard that it is horrible. Lags and no scrollable widgets?
The widgets worked fine for me, but the graphics sucked ass. It just doesn't flow as smoothly as I wanted. Even SPB MS 3.5 on my Rhodium is smoother!
yeah I just tried the newer version on my zoom and it does work. Not very good though. Wallpaper is horribly pixelated as are the Widgets. Animations aren't smooth and no landscape amongst other issues. Hopefully they release a honeycomb version at some point.
Well let's see if their Tablet UI concept materializes in the not too distant future.
Now this is something I may pay for.

Damn that's awesome. The pinching home screen would be real slick!
It looked slick over a year ago for Android Phones (the one just released) as well and it does not seem to deliver. It is easy to make an animation of what you would like something to be. Not trying to be negative but I have already seen this before with the Android Phones version long ago. I used SPB Mobile shell on Windows Mobile and it was awesome. But I do not think they are getting it with Android.
Thread cleaned up. Please do not advocate or ask for warez, or it will result in an infraction or ban. Thank you,

did anybody got this working on they tablet, i going crazy to get it on my phone there is the tablet option.
SPB on Xoom
I purchased 1.5.1 for my HTC Desire, and, of course, attempted to install on my Xoom. No go. Install worked fine, but wouldn't home switch.
I had, however, previously installed a 1.2.?, and it worked great, until I had to hit home button again, in which case it wouldn't allow me to select SPB as my launcher. I have to say, the outlay was fantastic, along with the eye candy and the overall slickness of it. It was great.
I REALLY hope they mod this for the tablets!
I can't remember how I got this to work but it wasn't easy and it looked lame... has to be default launcher.. prepare for some soft bricks.
Sent from my Full Android on Wingray using xda premium
Yes, it works beautifully. To use it you have to have it on phone first, backup app in astro, and then put the apk on your Xoom. The latest version (1.5.1) works more smoothly than stock.

ok guys. i sent spb an email asking if the sprint hero is supported or not to run spb shell 3D. and this is what they said.
Dear Chris,
unfortunately your device doesn't natively support OpenGS ES 2.0 and that's why it is not supported by SPB Shell 3D.
so i dont know. lol

well then, maybe it can work. If you are running aospCMod 2.3.3 (has the openGL built in) and edit the line in the build.prop that says ro.opengles.version=65537 to say =131072, it tells the phone that it has open GL 2.0. I make this edit so that I can run vector maps. If somebody wants to DL this app from the market and make that edit, it *might* work, although I doubt it would run well.
i have the app and im on aosp cm7. so im gonna do that and get back soon.
my first test is gonne be dungeon defenders. when you start the game on our hero's it says, you do not mee the minimum of 512mb of ram... your device does not support opengl 2.0
i made the edit and restarted the phone. when i open dungeon defenders i get the same thing. dont have 512mb of ram... and openGL initialization failed, your device likely does not support shader model ES2.0, a requirement for dungeon defenders...

Well, to be fair, this thread is not about that game also, to ensure you have the spoofed 2.0, grab the app "android system info" from the market and once you install it click on the system tab, then open GL, mine shows 2.0 (even though it really isn't). I tried 2 cracked versions of spb and neither worked (although it did change my wallpaper when trying to load), but maybe the market official one would work, that's what someone really needs to test.
mine says.
openGL version supported : 2.0
openGL version supported : openGL ES 1.1-CM
blah blah blah
we need ES to be 2.0

Right, where is says 2.0, it thinks you have it (my system info says the same thing btw). Go to google maps, then go to a metropolis city, put two fingers near top of the map, slide down with fingers - watch 3D tilt and 3D buildings. That's fake 2.0. I still have no idea if the market version of SPB will work, I doubt it, but maybe.... You see maps 5.0+ needs openGL 2.0 to render that 3D stuff (vector maps) and it works because we lied to it and said we had it, that's why I think it's worth a shot for SPB. To be clear, I doubt I would run it as my launcher, I was just trying to be helpful and think of ideas.
What about changing some stuff to the log of spb? I don't know much but I did take a look but couldn't find any info I thought could help.

No idea. Didn't one of you two guys put up something about a "bulletproof script" or something for this launcher, that some guy got is running on an older phone? Maybe using that tweak and the 131072 tweak would make it work?
yeah that was me. here is the thread again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020500 . the guy is running it on the old droid. he said it would go to a black screen and then go back to where he previously was at.... which is the same thing its doing for us. he said he used that bulletproof launcher script to keep it from closing and it loaded up after like 10 minutes. i have no clue what to do though lol

Well, first the milestone and droid both have different processors than the hero, so maybe that's why he got SPB to work (I never actually saw anything about that launcher specifically). Second, his tweak is easy, script unneeded. You can change your vm heap to 48 by editing the build.prop, which is fine because the early GB builds were set that way. You then could add the line "ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=0" to the bottom of the build.prop, add a BLANK line under that, then disable the CM lock home in memory. You could also create or add the same lines to local.prop in /data.
EDIT: I just did all that, same result. Set SPB to default launcher, screen goes black for about a minute, then it reloads adw ex with a wallpaper made of clouds, no SPB... Still the paid market version may work with these edits, someone must try (not me) and report back. I will say a prayer to the phone gods for you.

i used to use what I believe was called Rom Finder (premium) but I believe it was removed from the market. and even upon side loading the SDK it tells me that I need the newest version to download ROMS. any suggestions for using this or a new source? I would prefer a direct app on the xoom to do this although i havent been able to find another one.
You just can search it on Google, and for the ROMS, in any web of ROMS and Emulator, just watch the end of the file "Example.N64". If there's no problem for some mods or something i can upalod the apk.

You are right no BIOS needed. I have Honeycomb 3.1 with the latest Tiamat Xoom 1.4.2 and it runs great. I had purchased this app before it was in the market. I had to reinstall N64oid when I updated to 3.1 since all my applications were cleared.
Since you purchased this legitly on the android market you shouldn't have to worry. Remove the Titanium Backup version. Go to the Android Market and your purchased apps and install from there. Even though its removed from market since you purchased it you should still have access to download it like I do. Hopefully it will start working for you then!
