Hi
I have GT-P1000 european/international/unbranded galaxy tab
I rooted it and I used bootloader patch.
I installed rom manager.
Which clockwork mod do I need to install.
And which rom can I use.
Is there a simple way to run "android market"?
My tab doesn't have android market installed...

You need to install a GSM rom.
Go to the thread in my signature, that is the rom you need as its the most developed. There you will find links to everything you need.

Hi,
I bought a Galaxy Tab second Hand from CEX. In general it's fine but I have an issue installing some apk's from the internal storage. Skies of Glory for example starts to install then fails with the legend 'Application not Installed' It works on my HTC desire. Same with a fair few other apps and games. I tried unmounting the SD but still no joy.
Also, the device is rooted and has a MoDaCo rom installed - does anyone know where I can get a stock European Rom so I can start over. or any suggestions as to a good custom Rom.
Thanks in advance
Rog
Overcome is popular. Am using version 1.2.1 with kernel v1. Everything is working great.
I find .apks don install when there is a conflict. Poossibly an older version of the prog or game is there. Or just this version of the app/game doesnt like the tab. I usually try to remove the conflict or just try a diff apk.

Thanks for the reply Utrx,
Just installed Overcome so will give it a look over.
Cheers
If we can't do CWM recov through ROM manager, do I even need this app installed?
Okay. Let's try it this way...
Does anyone have ROM manager installed and using it?
I'm fairy sure ROM manager is useless on the thrill, but don't quote me on that.

agreed.. i have it installed and check and wait for each update but so far, the thrill shows up as the optmus 2x..
this is definitely not our phone.. dont flash with rom manager.. all its really good for is to reboot into cwm but there are smaller apps that will do this for you.. that is if you are too lazy to hold 3 buttons.. lol
man u need to install rom maneger so u can flash roms and for 3d model i have same problem and i found rom maneger that sapport it

I highly recommend all of you not to use that program for O3D/Thrill.
If you need CWM install this way.

I have it installed and use it. You need an older version to install the CWM recovery. I will post a download link later for the older version. Once downloaded and installed it will not update. It's the free version not the paid app so some features will not work unless you pay for it. But it flashed the correct recovery just fine for me.
Below is the link to an older ROM Manager that worked for me to install CWM Recovery on my LG P925G I just selected the LG Optimus 3D option as my phone is marketed as O3D but is actually the LG Thrill renamed for Rogers

Hey I was confused by that as well when I flashed CM 9 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 The solution to this problem is simple. Go to this site on your phone and download the Google apps (Including playstore) that correlates with the version of CM you are running. I was unable to leave a link in my reply because I am new to this site but a simple google search of "Gapps" will take you to the "Goo.im" Site where you can download the google applications. The site also features an app (APK file) that will allow you to download the apps straight to your phone.
To open these files you must flash them in clockwork recovery mod. I hope this helps. Take care.
I got a Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) that has been rooted. By looking at the "About Device" it has Kernel version 3.0.31-343940 and running Android 4.1.1 with build Omega v6.0-ZSALJA. he problem is that I want to root it again with another ROM but my PC does not recognize the phone. I have it in Debug mode, but still can not load drivers needed to flash a new ROM. Any help will be appreciated. I do not know much about this kind of stuff.

In general if you have a custom rom you also should have root and Cwm. You just need to wipe and install the new rom.
After a lot of research and YouTube, I think I'm ready to get Android TouchWiz 4.2.2 off of my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
I followed these video instructions by DroidCheats to install TWRP recovery. I've downloaded the latest stable CyanogenMod rom for the P3110 (which, from what I've read, is compatible with P3113 devices), and the Google Apps for Android 4.3, and copied these files to a folder on my external SD card.
Now do I just reboot my device into recovery mode (start TWRP), wipe it, and then install the CyanogenMod rom and the Google Apps? Or am I missing a step?
UPDATE: So I pretty much said "f**k it" and went ahead with the listed procedure after creating a backup. Everything worked except for the keyboard, so I tried a different rom which seems to be working perfectly. Thank you, CodyF86.
UPDATE: I figured out why the keyboard crashed. I mistakenly installed the Google apps for 4.3 into a ROM for Android 4.2. The 4.3 Google apps run perfectly in Cyanogen Mod 10.2 Nightly (Android 4.3).
