There is an option named "HTC Phone - Messaging" if i click Share when viewing a photo in stock Gallery. However, if i choose this it would show "No applications can perform this action".
i'm not sure if that's due to some apps i've installed before and removed then, or if this option is from stock? if it's the former, anyway to clean uninstall that app?
I have the exact same problem. It is really annoying!

Hello
I have very strange problem: I have "HTC Phone messaging" app in my gallery's share menu. And I have Samsung Galaxy S.
I don't know how did I do this but I think it has something to do with SGS Tool's modified gallery. I tried it and then reverted back to stock gallery using restore_gallery.txt script found in SGS Tools.
If I select that "HTC Phone messaging" app from the share menu, I get an error notification and nothing happens.
Is there way to remove that app from the menu? Or a way to force android to rebuild the share list or something?
Thanks in advance,
Jufis
"People Small App", "Small Phone" and "Home Anywhere".
I did not install these apps. I have no recollection of ever even seeing them before. I'm running ViperOne 5.6.0, with ViperFlats theme installed. Does anyone know where these apps came from, what they even do (because it honestly seems like I have no use for them) and why I can't uninstall them? When I click uninstall, it uninstalls the updates, but the app itself stays (applies for all three).
Press Thanks if i Helps

Thanks guys. I actually just figured it out when playing with the side panel thing. I had never really used it before, as I have no use for it really. I was just concerned about random apps that I did not install, being on my device. Also, I just recently installed Viper, so I was unaware.
Seeing as I hardly use this app, I'm just going to uninstall it.
Guys - this problem is driving me up the wall.
I've tried for hours to fix it, but can't find a solution.
When in WhatsApp, when I click the paperclip to attach, then Gallery, it takes me to the "WhatsApp gallery" thing which has all my photos etc. in it. Using the 3 dot menu I can then also choose to go to HTC Gallery or Google Photos instead. That's all fine.
However, when I select an image in the "WhatsApp gallery" and hit the send button, it WILL NOT send no matter what I do. It just returns to that "WhatsApp gallery" home screen with all the folders.
The ridiculous thing is if, by using the 3 dot button and selecting one, I go to either HTC Gallery or Google Photos, I can send anything just fine.
It is simply this stupid intermediate screen that doesn't work!!!!
What is it? And how can I fix it / get rid of it / set default to HTC Gallery?
I've tried clearing data for Gallery & WhatsApp, uninstalling WhatsApp, installing WhatsApp+, moving DCIM folder contents around - you name it, I've tried it to the best of my knowledge.
Please someone tell me what the problem is here, because although it's a very small thing, I use it daily and it's driving me mad!!
Thanks

I have a message that randomly pops up on my N6 that says "Database backed up to SD card". This actually happened on my Nexus 5 as well so this is really my first place to start as I can't find anything online about it.
I am stock, not rooted. I don't have any AV software or back up software that I know of. I don't sideload and don't run any non market apps. I can't for the life of me figure out why this message shows up and don't run any janky apps that I would normally do this.
Nova Launcher Prime 3.3 is the only thing I can think that might do it. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and a solution of how I could narrow down what is doing it?
Thanks in advance
P.S. - I'll *try* to get a screenshot for future reference. The message always appears at the bottom of the screen in white letters
Do you use Whatsapp? It has some sort of a backup routine.
(or another app that backs up - check if your launcher has an auto backup option that is enabled)

Hi,
I'm having a weird issue when I'm in the recent apps screen. I'm not sure why, but as you can see from the photos, there is an ugly message showing up saying: "couldn't load widget" that specifically only appears when the there are apps present in the recent apps menu. I've had the google search app disabled since I upgraded to 5.0.2, but the message keeps showing even if I re-enable it. Further more, a family member also has the z3 compact and I can see that the google search bar doesn't appear on his phone in the recent apps menu even if it is enabled, so in his case the rrecent app menu on his phone doesn't show any widget whatsoever, regardless of whether he has the google search app enabled or not.
I'm no phone expert so I thought the best place to go would be the XDA forums, so I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out how to make this ugly text go away. The only thing that I tried to do, without any results, was to wipe the cache partition.
Thanks
It's just a guess, but I see some mini-widget icons I do not recognize from my phone. Perhaps it has something to do with those?

These are just some additional mini-apps that I have installed. I doubt they'd cause something like this though.
Anyone?
