Thank you guys for all your hard work in bringing us the best ROM to date for the Incredible.
Third! lol
Awesome! Thanks Slayher. You, Cyanogen, Koush, and the others have done so much work, and now we have this incredible (lol) rom.
This is awesome news . Stable gingerbread for the Incredible, all before HTC and VZW. This is what the community is all about!
Glad to see a final release. I've had fun with the rom. Notification issues made me leave after rc4. Maybe a fresh flash of the final will fix it. Congrats guys!
support xda...go premium!
Yay! Full wipe wipe wipe wipe and starting fresh with a stable CM7 release.

+1. Stoked for the stable release. you guys rock!!
I haven't even flashed this as yet but I must say Slayher is one relentless dev and everyone involved in this deserve so much more gratitude and thanks.
Thanks Slayher!!!!
About to wipe and flash. Big thanks to everyone involved!
Finally, been anxiously waiting. Thanks to all involved.
Flashing.
Thank you to slayher and all the CM7 Devs. This is a great ROM!
In the words of Billy Idol, "RIGHT!!!"
Two thumbs up
(round of applause)
Thanks
love it! i was gonna go back to sense roms, but final's out.
i will stay with CM7 Final!
Great! Downloading now.....thought the nightlys where so stable for me.
Think I'll just flash over to start with, though a wipe and fresh install would probably be best.
Hm... was doing the nightlies for a while, but eventually got tired of the worry about random reboots or weird force closes so switched back to good old reliable Ruby. But.... this is tempting to go back to CM7. I think I'll give it a download =)
Slayher! You have not forsaken us! (Tried to tell 'em) Strong work on the ROM. I've been enjoying your work on this since the nightlies went "official." We plebian hoards of DInc users are foreverever indebted to you. Thank you, sir... now to flash.
[I for one welcome our new Android overlords ::: DInc::SLDC::x.7.28::CWM3.0.0.8::CM7::chad's]
nice, but i will wait for feedback first.

Release Candidate RC - This is a proposed release candidate (current one is Gingerbread based) for the next stable release, it should be stable enough to use as a daily rom (indeed I have had no problems running it), there may be a few major bugs and more minor bugs than you would find in the stable release.

Doesn't look like any work was done on the GPS yet.
Oh well, still a great build. Thanks for the hard, selfless work to everyone involved.
Downloading now. I will upgrade straight from 36. Is this a full wipe update or will it install like a nightly?
Also, any chance of BLN being in this time?

what does it matter? and was i wrong? ive been using cyanogenmod roms on 6 different phones over the course of 2 years. ive had a vibrant for a few months and as far as i have read, gps only works on jvp roms at the moment, so unless the people working on the vibrant for cyanogen failed to put something here about gps then i doubt it works
To sum it up:
BUGS:
-Broken GPS
-Call mute/unmute needed on incoming calls for people to hear you
-Poor battery life (30%-40% idle consumption every 3-4 hours without being touched)
Otherwise it's amazing. Personally I'm using it as daily.

i will agree with broken gps and poor battery life compared to froyo roms. However since nightly 36 mute/unmute bug has been fixed for me, i would suggest a full wipe and reinstall to those still experiencing this problem.
Only persistant (and slightly annoying issue i have) is having to reflash gapps after each update, not a big deal however, only takes an extra 5 minutes.
Other than the aforementioned issues absolutely wonderful rom, i cannot wait to get some smart ass kernels for CM7. Been running cm7 as a daily driver since nightly #8.
Due to an issue with emergency dialing (911), the stable build is no longer supported. It is suggested you update to the latest nightly available until a new stable release is ready to receive this fix. It is very important you do not use these builds, as emergency dialing is not properly functional and could put you at risk.

Or can I just flash it over Froyo without touching the GB bootloaders?
Thanks!

FAQ
Q: I can't add my Google account!
A: Install the Google Apps package from CWM recovery, linked above. This is standard procedure with CyanogenMod ROMs due to licensing issues with Google.
Q: Will /datadata be in the next version?
A: Keep in mind that this is not a KANG. Read more about /datadata and why it was removed here
Q: How is this different from the other thread in the Development forum?
A: That ROM is a port of an unofficial build of CM10. This is a build of CM10 from sources for the Vibrant.
Q: Do I need the su fix from the other thread?
A: Please refrain from using fixes from that ROM.
Q: Why isn't YYMMDD up yet? It's up on the SGS thread.
A: The versions don't necessarily match up and a change in one may not be in the other.

Audio and wifi work, all this stuff is courtesy aries-common and pawitp. (My aries-common port didn't have working audio, but had wifi I think)
RIL = Radio Interface Layer and is responsible for communicating with the baseband. So basically you'll have no GSM or telephony.

Disabled for now in the ramdisk. (Which means flashing another kernel like Devil will accidently re-enable it) I do NOT recommend enabling it, you will get kernel panic galore...

I asked because I had a similar issue when I compiled a kernel with Linaro 4.7, might be same with 4.6 toolchain kernel is now compilied with (right?) .
Kernel would panic and crash to recovery upon starting to load RIL.
It is fixed by compiling samsung_modemctl with 4.3.3 toolchain and using it as a prebuilt.
Hopefully that helps? or probably a different issue completely xD

Probably yeah. pawitp patched modemctl already, my repo sync may have neglected to update the kernel cause I had changes. I'll try again later.

CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.1 (Jellybean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
I can't follow this thread anymore, 90% of it is people whining about the same crap over and over instead of reading what's been written already.
To those of you who actually bother to post logs and repro scenarios, I'm sorry, but I can't spend 20 minutes every day sifting through **** to get to your useful data; I'll go back to testing with people I know, it's slower but much less frustrating.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, or anything else that happens to hardware that isn't my own. It's your own choice to install this software
*/
These are automated builds of CM10 for the LG Optimus 2x, and the first official builds post Gingerbread (CyanogenMod 7). They have nothing in common with the crap builds that floated around for the last year (including my own), and are composed of fully compatible native bits; in other words, there is no hardware function loss or degradation.
It's been tested to a reasonable extent, and should be usable on a daily basis, but as automated builds they can, at any time, get broken.
CM10 will apply as an update on top of CM7, but it's possible that the skipping of CM9 may cause issues. If you upgrade directly and start getting weird behaviors, try doing a factory reset before running around shouting "bug!". DeskClock is one application known to have issues with upgrading: for that one, clearing its data from Settings is usually sufficient. As usual, people coming from anything that isn't CM (and this includes CM unofficial builds) need to do a full factory reset (wipe).
On a related note: This works only with the older (GB or Froyo) bootloaders. People running leaked ICS builds will need to rollback.
Install instructions:
1. Install ClockworkMod Recovery for "p990". Sorry, CM cannot provide support for other recoveries, although they may work fine. If you already have a recovery known to work with CM7, you can skip this step.
2. Get the most recent CM10 build from http://get.cm/?device=p990
3. Reboot into recovery
4. BACKUP
5. Install the zip(s).
Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.
It's entirely possible that features not used by me (nor the people I've asked to test) are broken, but overall the device should be usable. You have been warned.
Contributions to CM (code or otherwise) are, as always, welcome; Please visit our wiki if you want to give us a hand!
I love you.
Now the only issue is that the download doesn't work. Let's hope it'll be fixed soon.

Thank you. I am making a clean wipe and starting to report if find any bugs.
Does it matter which version of Clockwork Mod Recovery I have? I currently have version 5.0.2.7
Also, I keep seeing mentions of RIL and basebands? Is this something I need to worry about?
My Optimus 2X is rooted on stock 2.3.4
Thanks a lot.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in this effort. I, of course, also thanked the post of the op.
The wait is finally over
Time to test this

I don't know if this is the place to report bugs, but when I hold lock button to open the pop-up menu that switches the device off, the device freezes.
I'm going to do a data reset to check if it is only me who has the issue.
Thanks RC!
You're great!
Thanks Richardo

If you are coming from any other ROM especially other than JB AOSP Roms, we recommend full wipe:
Make sure to run CM9/10 or an AOSP-based ROM : FLASHING/WIPING FROM STOCK ICS OR ROMS BASED ON STOCK ICS WILL RESULT IN A BRICK! - You're warned!
Wipe Data
Wipe Cache Partition
Mounts and Storage > Format System
Steps to be followed by all users:
Download latest ROM build & Google Apps (from below links) on your SDCARD
Reboot in Recovery - Make sure you are on CM9/CM10/AOSP-based ROM's recovery
Mounts and Storage > Format System
Flash Chimera
Flash Gapps
Reboot, ain't that simple?

Caution:
Weather panel FC if you touch to update. To fix it select update in short click action. Looking to find how to make it default. The setting eludes me at this time.
A new discovery. In System settings>navigation. Color settings don't work and could conflict. Use ROM Control to adjust the color.
Special Thanks:
Nelson (ngiordano - Team Passion Developer) for this N7000 build
CyanogenMod Team for their continuous effort in betterment. We hope you resolve your issue soon.

Amazing rom!! Just what I was looking for.. for so many days!!!!
one stupid question. is this rom's volume is as loud as ICS stock or leaked rom's? because I have tried other CM10 and AOSP based roms which all have low volume problem. low volume means not as loud as I can get from ICS based rom. (I watch movie on the train so it must be pretty loud to hear the conversation but I still want to try the goodies of higher android version)
So pls any genius to answer the question.
Thanks

PA is used as base and AOKP integrated here. In C&C we used CNA as base and integrated PA.
Moreover, this includes all latest fixes by respective AOSP base.
Chimera and C&C both use CM10 device tree. So both are pretty stable.
