Text messages are scrolled all the way to the bottom when opened! Help!

All of a sudden, whenever I open a text message, the phone automatically scrolls all the way down to the bottom of the page where there is no text. It still works, but it's pretty annoying to have to scroll back up to the top of the message everytime. I don't know what I changed, but I did just install Tweak. Could that have anything to do with it? I didn't tweak any SMS options. Any insight?

If you are using 'Kaiser Tweaks' then un-select D-Pad scroll.

Awe that sucks! I liked having that feature for browsing IE. But it's more annoying scrolling to the bottom. Guess you can't have it all. Thanks!

Tell you the truth I did a quick search on "scrolled text message" and came up with that solution... maybe there's another solution to keep it active when using IE..
Might be worth a more detailed search...

Sorry that it interferes with your IE scrolling, baby boy. Maybe next time you will search and read the other 20 threads about the d pad issues or whatever other issues you may have.

I always thought I was the official you know what. Grizzly is definetly a contender though. I was think that someone didn't search when I saw this posted.

Facebook 1.1

I have running the Facebook 1.1 app that is on the droid, on my motorola cliq, because someone uploaded it. It is only showing 1.0 in the market right now, anyway is there anyway anyone can fix the notifications tab, so we can reply to our notifications with-in the app itself, instead of having to use the browser? I hate going to the browser just to respond to a notification such as someone commenting on my status, etc....or I have to search for it, in the app just to respond, iphone gets all the attention! If you can fix this, and upload it again, I would appreciate it.

It's easy...he's just asking to rework the application. No biggie. Simple as using textpad.
Note: to read this post, please set your Sarcasm Detector to "ON"

I did the above to my facebook.apk and it enabled viewing notifications as it should have. I'm really not sure why whoever coded that in the text file left it at "0", but with it set to "1", all my notifications actually work and stuff.

Dude you have a Moto Cliq use THE HAPPENINGS APK it allows you to respond to that stuff and comment on other status why in the world would you need the droid facebook.apk anyways on the cliq it sounds like your not using your cliq the way it was intended

Please take the time to learn how an application is developed, what source code is, what an .apk file is, and then decide if this "request" you made is even remotely feasible. I'm usually not one to flame another but my goodness, the noobness you exert is almost blinding.

Qft unless your searching for a three character string there's pretty much nothing on xda that can't be found using a search or site:xda-developers.com in google

You mean I have to search for more than one word at a time? That's too difficult. I'll just put in the word facebook, cry for a few minutes when I see the results then I'll post in the development section? Is that cool?
I love it when people cry about how bad the search engine is and then in less than 30 seconds I searach for and link them the thread that tells them how to fix the problem they have.

I truly love Swype on my Hero but yesterday completely unexpected I got a popup that stated "Your trial period has ended. Please upgrade your copy of Swype." How can I do this!? I've searched everywhere but I have no idea what I am looking for. Thanks.

Almost all the older ones are now showing a popup and disabling themselves.
But another version is posted and it works fine on 2.1

Thanks for more of your helpful input fixxxer... wtf? This is a thread about the fact that those of us who do like and use Swype every day are s.o.l. atm and are looking for a solution. Thank you for letting us know you don't like swype and use the htcime kb instead.
I'm using the one from THIS POST, so far so good.
If I'm not mistaken I think thats an older copy. Even though it's working I'd love to get a hold of a newer version, or heck I'd love for the people who made Swype to let be BUY it from them. I would pay at least $5 for Swype.

This is what I got AFTER the other one started with the "end of trial" BS.

I vouch. I installed this one in my new mod. Ive had this version for testing ever since it was released. I have a few copies, registered to me(I themed the new one)it works perfectly and does NOT expire. Check out the black glass version of the one that expires and swap the keyboards folder inside if you want a black one that does not expire. Or just color all the pngs to YOUR liking. Just an easy way to get a black swype that doesnt expire. OR YOU CAN JUST GO HERE...​

yeah i found that week one of owning the phone.
without the text selection methods in the later updates and a lack of laser mouse it really needed it. it hasnt been talked about since the updates that gave that little pointer for the cursor

Agreed, with the new cursor functions I don't really see the need for it. Though it is nice to know it's there, something else to toy with.

you mean the symbol above the comma? the one above he "u" is an underline and the comma has the hyphen.

WOW, I may have to go back to using Swype again.

i had no clue that the amount of thanks that you have gives you any right to be rude. i've gotten thanks for posting a +1. so i'm still not convinced dude. it didn't upset me one bit. just stating the fact of what XDA is. i will go cuddle mommy most likely right after i cuddle yours. oh and i didn't know for a fact that that was what he was asking for. but if you didn't notice i gave him what i could instead of an ignorant ridiculous comment. by the way. you are really cool man. i would give anything to have the thanks count like you do. it would just make me feel like i was on top of the would. i would go around in in public telling others of my thanks count and use it in everyday situations. in fact, i just got in an argument with a friend a second ago and i told him that my thanks count is way up there and that maybe he should get on xda and hit mine just for conversing with him. thanks. and now i'm going to hit yours just because you make me fell so much better about myself.

I have never seen the iphone style rotation animation done on any android phone running any kind of system. It is something that has to be built into the operating system, and it just is not built into android.
So, to answer your question very clearly - no, you cannot get the iphone rotation animation on android.

maybe you should see video about samsung galaxy Tab8.9 i'v seen this rotation and it's have been done in the system called Android in galaxy S II in the gallery
check out the videos on you tube and then you will see

Even adobe reader app has an animation for layout switching... it's strange so little interest by the community for such an important feature...
