Not on the stock rom. You have to use a custom rom that includes the stock lock screen. For this you would need to root and install a custom recovery. See the dev sections but you asked the question in the correct place!

Do you mean Stericson's lockscreen? If it's in a theme then really you'd have to ask the theme developer because Stericon's lock screen is tied in to services.jar, framework-res ect. So if you overwrite with the original files you'll loose all the graphical mods in those files.

Have you guys considered using custom roms?
Some custom roms allow you to pick 4 different lockscreens (like Darkyy's)
It's a little bit more complicated than just swapping out some images. You would have to decompile framework-res.apk and change xml's. I'd do it for you but I'm at work. Easiest option is to use a custom ROM, or a theme, since themes sometine include custom locks.
There's a few lockscreen customization apps available. Personally, I use LockBot Free.

Thanks, but I have already tried using paid lockscreen app, but I want to use as system itself! :-D
There's themes that include other lockscreens too, not just ROM's. Example, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760106 is compatible with JI6 and includes the slide lockscreen.
Ok as the title suggests how do you change the lock screen you like on a custom rom to fit onto another custom

Short answer, no. Lock screens are integrated very tightly with the framework.
wallpapers
And what about system wallpapers, in which folder should I place files to see them in wallpapers, but not in gallery?
hi there
i have alfs 07 and gingerdx 22 and use ICS blue theme.
i really love the ring halo style lock screen, but gdx doesnt have it.
is there a way to add it?
U can edit framework, but I hardly recommend u to not doing it if u re new user. The other way is to use Widgett locker. I think its free in market but i wont give a hand for that : D

Well, yes you can edit framework. You can also add it to the system directory. I could try and make a framework patch .zip if you want. Just send me your lock screen, and I will compile into a zip and you can flash

ok, after looking at the files on my computer, here is my thoughts
I will try, but if i dont succeed doing this, it is because i am making a ROM at moment and also making a patch for someone else, but i will try and include this lockscreen in my ROM, if it helps
Hi, on 4.1 the swipe to unlock text only was shown a few times after turning on the device, now in 4.3 is permanent, there is anyway to remove it?
Without root on Xperia V, if only can be removed with root tell me anyway, thanks :good:

I think i saw this in some Xperia-related Xposed module. I can't find it new coz i'm on Omni. I think... I'm not sure again!
Settings/security/screen lock, choose none and then install some locker from Play Store (ie Holo Locker).
It's not possible to get rid of that text I think.. You would have to decompile the lockscreen apk and either change the color of the text to transparent or replace the related string..
But without root, you won't be able to install your modified app.
Thus, it's not possible. :/

Thanks, I going to root it soon, but I'll wait to get a 4.3 "definitive" firmware or an easy rooting method that don't need to reflash the firmware, just bored of formating so many times and if I have to do it I would prefer it to be the last one
(Sorry if my English is confusing ^^")

I can understand you.. Lost root and recovery on 4.3 recently and ended up in a bootloop. Lost all data, had to restore via Flashtool.. :/
Hopefully we will soon be able to root our devices more easily. ^^

decompile the lockscreen.apk
there is a definition for the unlock hint in inte....xml
i did this long time ago so i cant remember its exact name
Okay, XV rooted, i'm gonna try to decompile and remove it.
Im not a dev so I dont really know how, just gonna try and see what happens
Well, just not as easy as i think, decompiled, modified the swype to unlock text (in english and spanish) and recompiled, installed in System/app and the lockscreen seems to be between the AOSP and Xperia Lockscreen, with the unlock circle of AOSP and clock/widgets of xperia, but im not able to apply a lockscreen wallpaper from gallery or screen settings so i will keep the original lockscreen till i find a way to make it work

Did you sign your recompiled apk?
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk.
if the XT lockscreen apk will work on the XV, then you can grab that from some custom rom. for example my nonami rom has hidden "swipe to unlock" text and also i changed the blinds affected by touch.
cheers

Gonna try that or the Xposed module, thanks
System apps so have to be signed. I guess that's the reason it didn't work for you.
The only problem with this signing stuff is that you might need super user mod to make the apk install.
