So I've rooted my nook with Auto-Nooter, then installed the newest version of CM7 through this method.
I now want to only run CM7 when I have an SD card inserted. Do I need to flash a stock ROM before I install SD-only version of CM7?
I was thinking of reverting to stock with this method:

Then installing the latest CM7 on my SD with this:

yep thhose two links should do the trick. if you dont flash a stock rom, then you will have cm7 on both the emmc and sd

I have a NC running rooted stock internally and Nookie Froyo from the SDcard.
I am trying to get GAPPS running in Froyo but I'm having problems. I flashed the newest CWM Recovery in ROM manager, and then downloaded the universal GAPPS package from the list of available ROMs. I am then prompted to boot into ClockWork Recovery.
When I try and boot into CWR with the SDcard in the NC, it just reboots into Froyo. If I take the SDcard out, the NC boots into CWR just fine. I need CWR to boot with the SDcard in the NC to be able to flash the GAPPS that are saved on the SDcard.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thx to the developers for all of their hardwork.
Hey guys I was wondering if CM7 can boot into CWR through the rom manager app, when I attempted this with phiremod's rom it wasn't possible so I reverted back to nookie froyo. Since CM7 RC is now out, is it now possible to boot into CWR?
I know it's possible to boot into CWR if you use a sd card with the clockwork image on it. But my issue is I only have 1 sd card to work with which I use for storage. Thanks for any responses.
with the burned image it didn't work for me for CM7 i just used rom manager and hit reboot into clockwork recovery and did it that way fixed my sd card and now everything works beautifully
It's possible for me on Phiremod...?

There is a new update to CWM, 3.0.1.0, that can be installed directly onto the internal memory and won't cause the boot problem. I believe you can find the official thread here on the xda forums on how to install it. And I also believe this works on all roms now, although read carefully to make sure.
*Fixed by using Odin, flashing to stock- restarted properly... Cheers*
I have a Galaxy S I9000 which had speedloader and a custom rom. I wanted to upgrade to the Miu/Cyano latest release. I didn't copy the latest rom to the extended SD card before flashing CM7 via odin. I can't work out how to get the Miu zip file to the right place.
How do I access the internal SD card?
Have I stuffed it? Any help would be awesome. Cheers!!
Hello all,
I installed CM10.1 via this very useful post by verygreen. Now I have a need to revert to stock, for both the recovery and the ROM. Before installing CM10.1 I did make a CWM backup of stock using the bootable SD card created in that same thread. I have a couple of related questions:
When flashing that backup, will that flash stock recovery as well?
Do I need to boot with the SD card and use that version of CWM to restore the backup, or will any version of CWM work?
TIA!

It should restore it back to the exact state it was in when you made the backup. The recovery that you flashed when you set up CM should restore without an issue.
Hey! I just got my Nook HD+ tablet today and I want to root it and enable unknown sources, I have been following leapinlar's thread for sometime and really appreciate his work! I am not really ready to flash to CM because of certain app stability issues i have heard (correct me if I am wrong) Thus, I thought stock is more stable and I can just use nova launcher with it. I don't really want to spend time trying to root it and I have seen he has a stock 2.1.1 file with root, unknown source, busybox, etc right? Will the bootloader be unlocked if I flash it? and how do I flash it? I have already downloaded the file and have a 32gb class 10 transcend card ready. Do I have to install CWM or can I use stock recovery to flash it? and do you have the instructions to flash CWM and replace stock recovery? Thanks!
To flash anything you need to make a bootable CWM SD per my instructions in my HD/HD+ CWM thread. You cannot flash things with stock recovery. Once you have made the CWM SD it is just as easy to flash the Universal Root rev3 zip and enable unknown sources zip as it is to flash the stock 2.1.1 rooted zip. Even with the full rooted version you still need to flash the enable unknown sources zip. And you end up exactly the same no matter which way you go.
All of the zips get flashed the same way with CWM, including the full stock zips and custom recovery for internal memory.
