Could you post a BRIEF method on how to do it. I will happily try and I know Airbus360 is trying to port the normal one to Superfast Froyo. So it may help in a lot of ways.
I learn very quickly. Going to a grammar school helps...

I'm interested in a rds radio but I don't need it because in my country there isn't support for rds.

I'm still working on it
I've mailed the original dev of the RDS radio on MoDaCo and I will see what he/she replies

I think ZTE Blade has a different chip for FM resiever, and different kernel implemetation. And seems in our case its not helpfull.

I thought that it uses your wired headphones
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App

its uses the earphone as a antenna then the receiver decodes the radio waves into something we can hear

Yes, GT540 too use headset as antenna, but instead of BCM4325 ZTE use other chip, and other intreface to communicate app with that chip, and for us is useless. But I'm not sure 100%. You should find specs or datasheet for ZTE Blade.
Yes ZTE Blade use a si4708 FM chip, we use BCM4325, and those two chis is incompatible and has a differnt implementation in kernel and app for blade is not for us.

The idea was to implement the RDS function into your provided FM radio. You can then supposedly edit the kernel (you may not need to, seeing as it is and LG one is it not) to support RDS. The app should then function. I have all the resources needed.

[APP] LG RIL Version.

This is a tiny app for the O2X flashoholics out there.
It will display which version of lge-ril.so you currently have installed, and if you don't like it you can install another one. The app will scan your sd-card(s) for additional RILs, including scanning them from zip-files. All you need to do is dump your ril-zips or rom-zips anywhere in internal or external storage (where they probably already are), and LG RIL Version will find the RILs for you, and copy them to its own storage for later use.
The RIL-database updates over the net, no need for continous updates of the app. Use the built-in reporting function, and the RIL-database will be updated promptly.
If you use CM7.1, you will get one-touch support for adding (or removing) lge-ril.so to custom_backup_list.txt. (Keeps the installed ril between flashes.)
This app is at the moment only for p990.
The app is in the market, for free of course. (No ads either.)

If you want to translate the app to your language, here are two files you need to edit and e-mail to:
developer ( at ) solheimsvollen.net
or post them here in the forum.
These languages are completely translated:
o English
o Norwegian
The following are partially translated (only the first file is translated):
Spanish: Jrdaz
Italian: stegg.
Brazilian Portuguese: Joel Teixeira
Slovenian: Tadej Sadar.
Danish: Per G. Jensen
Czech: Ondřej Zima
Swedish: Oliver Hörberg
Dutch: Owain van Brakel (Owain94)
French: ilos.
German: Jacob Müller.
If you decide to do this, you will get to see your name in the bottom left of the screen ;-)
Only the part between the string-tags need to be edited, for example:
<string name="somename">***THIS IS WHAT YOU TRANSLATE***</string>

Yes as it shares the core of the CM7...
Tested on nightly 82 ....as stated Ril 218
Tested after vorkkernel with -622 flag...and it correctly calculates the md5 of the 622.
Definitely it works. Well done.

Where can I download the MIUI 2.0.0 ROM?
I can't find it anywhere...:-(
Works fine on latest nightly #82
good job
Works good got gingerbread alpha ril. Which is perfect. Seem like you intigrated md5 hash checker with til md5 comparing upon location system/lib checking. Awesome idea.
Thanks for the feedback everybody, good to hear it's working for you.
Now I just have to wait for somebody to unearth an unknown RIL, to test if the e-mail function is working ;-)

Hey guys,
this was a hard job and we spend many hours and nights on it. Finally we got it booting for every device. Please remember that this port is still a work in progress. It is not a daily driver for now. We dont know the bugs. The most related things should work. The rom also need resizing. We work close with the Evo 4G team which do that. We need all bug report. Most things are: Network, Wifi, Bluetooth, Rotation, Camera, Camcorder, 3G, Call, Messaging and so on. Please do not report resize problems or ui fails. The ROM is a work in progress, so it wouldn't hurt if the thread get some touch ups here and there too. If you want to donate you can do it, we will split all donations in the team. Read the whole thread. In first post you will find all important things, in second post there is the changelog. Before asking a question check this thread and the Homepage. If you have problems which only have you make a Full EXT4 Wipe...
It was a hard and long job and if you wish to use this rom as base ask me. When not we will talk to a mod.

NOV 20 [ROM](mod)10k ARC Launcher w/FM RADIO and 3d converter

10k version with converter. It is not deodex as deodex is slower and for me odex is just as easy to theme, but the framework-res can still be swapped by themes matching the 10k version must have only 10k themes. It is a diet of the original with some tweaks. Thanks to all the other developers in the thrill and o3d Roms. My base file is used by Fab985 for 10k base and for making it easy to work with rom.

I recommended to completely change the first post and the thread name. It just looks bad. The first post is unprofessional, lacks proper punctuation, improper use of grammar, just really keeps people like me from trying out the ROM. And yes, it was the same problem on your MIUI thread. People may consider this as flaming, but I term it as constructive criticism.
No offense intended, but you REALLY need to make the first post look a liiiiiiiiitle professional.
Oh.. and the thread name too.

I can't speak for Thrive/506 users but I use Arjens ics-190612 kernel as I think it was made for the 505/506. No blackscreen bug and brings wifi to gb roms.
