Hey calm down cowboy, are you the sheriff? I make only a question like other members. I don´t known if vanilla=stock. I've posted because my version is 10c, so I don´t know if a diferent rom works like 10b. A forum is to ask? isn´t it.

both of you are right

you are right .... forum are for that reason !

Check this out dude.... http://android.modaco.com/content/l...om-rom-for-the-lg-optimus-2x-vanilla-edition/
really fast ROM!
Just follow the easy steps such as installing CWM recovery, flashing the latest baseband then the ROM easy as pie

Please show me a post when it says vanilla=stock, version 10b=10c
I have flashed some roms and they worked great but the phone shuts off when it´s charging, so I think vanilla version 10b isn´t the same as stock rom 10c from my country. I´m looking for a stock rom 10c
Are there any post similar? I don´t think so.
If you don´t have a idea about it, please closed your mouth, and do not waste my time and others if you do not contribute any idea or solution.
Thanks

[Q] Newbie Need Help >.<

Hi All,
First of all, i totally new here, so please forgive me if i post at the wrong place, and sorry for my poor english...
Again, i'm new and newbie.. really appreciate for any help given...
i just brought my SGS since month ago... went to samsung service center for twice for shortcut missing problem & GPS no signal (Thanks to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043034 it helps alot)
Now... most headache, lag issue.. memory full....
So.. is there any solution for this? i know root and flash might help but how can i do this? i read some threads around, but i not sure which to choose... or should i wait for official android 2.3? Will 2.3 solve my lag/hang issue? I don't know what is root or flash exactly, what can it do? any disadvantages?
Oh! and what is JIT? I heard it can make apps run faster! worth a try?
I don't mind and hardcore/heavy solution(need advance skill) as long there is a tutorial for me xD
Really appreciate for any help and advises ^^ TQ very much..

Want you need to do it search for username ramad or chainfire on rooting your phone... they offer good guides on how to do it or go and sign up to this website.... www.darkyroms.com... good luck...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Ok! I found some ramad's post, will have a try... some question here.. can you help me out?...
Root means i can bypass OS permission and configure the system my self right? How about flash? erase the default firmware(original android os?) and install a new one? Will it cause some hardware failure or unable to use some features like wifi, bluetooth, gps? or maybe it will enhance it? !
After flash... some apps will unable to use right? because many apps support original os like 2.2, 2.3... if after i flash it... my os is not android 2.2, etc anymore right?
And just now i factory reset my phone.. now it unable to play Mp4 file.. it say i need to convert to supported format when transfer to phone... it is strange that i never have this error before, although i was transferring the same Mp4 file that i use to play in my phone before.
Flash your phone with Darky's 9.5 link was given by chrisdavesants
It's really easy to do too and plenty of guides are around.
Although it is a Froyo (2.2.1) rom it is far more stable than any Gingerbread rom's
Everything works just as it would on a stock rom.

Good luck on that but i tell you no difference....
Root means i can bypass OS permission and configure the system my self right? Yes!!
How about flash? erase the default firmware(original android os?) and install a new one? Right...
Will it cause some hardware failure or unable to use some features like wifi, bluetooth, gps?No or maybe it will enhance it? ! Some enhancements are feasible on custom roms...
After flash... some apps will unable to use right? Didnot experience any apps not working... everything worked...
because many apps support original os like 2.2, 2.3...custom roms are based on official 2.2 or/and 2.3 so they are the same features are just enhanced...
if after i flash it... my os is not android 2.2, etc anymore right? Depends on what you flash... will stay 2.2.1 for froyo or 2.3.3 with ginger
And just now i factory reset my phone.. now it unable to play Mp4 file.. it say i need to convert to supported format when transfer to phone... it is strange that i never have this error before, although i was transferring the same Mp4 file that i use to play in my phone before.

Odin is where you flash custom or official roms... leaked roms... as well.. CWM IS clockworkmd where you flash zip files afer using odin..
Requirements yes you should flash F/W only compatible with your phone model... read the instructions to the letter esp. Red ones...

[Q] Best Custom ROM / KDZ Updater still works?

Hello and if I postet this thread in a wrong way, do not be mad at me....
I have 2 Questions that I could not find a good answer (maybe I didn't searched enough ...)
1. WHAT IS THE BEST CUSTOM ROM for the OB?
In the last period, the nightly CM reached no 61.... does anyone installed it? how is it? I wanna know if there are other roms that are stable...or, if the 61 from CM is ok. I am using GPS, 3G connection, Bluetooth, WiFi constantly on my phone and I wanna install a ROM that is most stable (in special at these things...)
2. DOES THE KDZU STILL WORKING?
I found some posts, that says the KDZU is blocked somehow from the LG Guys... is it true? Does someone installed lately a ROM with KDZ ? It worked?
I now am on V20N ... how can I install a CM Rom? I have to downgrade to V10 versions? If yes, HOW? With KDZU?
In the last lines, i wanna thanks all of U guys, for the good work U R doing, sorry 4 my english and one more thing:
If I have the V20N version installed, when the official update will be available in my country (Romania - Orange) will the LG Update Suport notice me? and, will I be able to install it via LG Update?
Thanks and, sorry for the lenght of my post.
Less posting, more thinking would be nice. Serach smartflash optimus black, cyanogen discussion thread, v20 romania orange and all other things u need, put em in to search (it s on the top right, if you havent foind it yet) oh and r&d testtool could be interesting. And now start reading.

Ok, just a short reply. Use smartflash to flash back to v10a http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803
Root it with BlackJack from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771
Chose the best ROM for yourself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1451671
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161015 Old but VERY FAST and good
Stock, rooted V20N (stable but not so fast) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441901
Dont know much about this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181015
New for me, didnt check it out yet, but it seems to be a kind of SE port: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485706
THIS should be your choice, since it is stable, fast and has good battery performance and is just a modified stock ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454274
Grab CM, if you feel like needing something special, but watch out it has certain bugs, but just read in cyanogen discussion thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424894
and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1241460
Get it here: http://get.cm/?device=p970
Well and now noone can tell you, what suits you best, so just try it, start with Zeus, since I think it might be good for you, but dont miss to test other as well, since you would never know, what you missed...
HOPE you like this answer better...

installing a kernel can be done three ways
1 pc odin
2 moile odin
3 clock work mod recovery
in GB based rom I prefer CWMR
@ics based rom I prefer to use mobile odin

Its been months since i'm on gb, and probably thats what you're running, anyway its settings>about phone. All the info that u wanna know is there, rom, baseband, kernel etc.
What is rom? On layman terms its the version of android os you're using. For more technical detail please refer the almighty google
thanks a lot

I can flash my country's stock rom, but I can't flash XXLD3.

Why is that? Any idea/solution?
First of all , why can't you flash it ? Any error messages ?
Second(this might be the problem..), is that firmware for your phone ? ( as you might know , sgm2 can be s6500(with nfc) and s6500d(without nfc) ), you must make sure the firmware is for your phone, also make sure to put in in the PDA collumn in odin.
I've got the non NFC model. Odin's flashing operation fails right after " <<ID:0/003>> fat.bin". I've also tried with s6500DXXMK1 in both odin 1.85 and 3.09.
Can u please G i stop spamming by making a lot of threads u can try to use google 1st then u may askbut not that spammy way and idk what's going on with ur phone and I own my S6500D for about 1½ years and I flashed this rom and was an older version from quite a year ago but went back to stock due to non arabic but now it's better to use Cm10.1 for stabilty or If u dont have mount proplems with cwm 6.0.4.5 use cm11 and if u have whitescreen use cm10.1 build 7/7/2013 (which I'm using right know) and u can do some cool editing by xposed framework and if u dont know what is it google it

Q&A section is about Q&A, that's why it's called Q&A section. You get it now? As far as I create threads for different issue each time, I can create as much threads as I want to, smartass.
Well than , I don't see what's wrong, did you put it in the PDA column in odin ? Is your phone in download mode and successfully detected by odin ? Is anything else besides Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checked in odin ?

In topic :to be honest I dont suggest using peter's rom since there is a lot a custom roms better for our device now I used Peter's Rom before there was even a cm9 or 10 for our device but I went back to stock after 2 days of using peter's rom cause it had some bugs so didnt like it for daily usage my opinion is to use cm11 and if u have whitescreen and sdcard0 mount proplems like me go back to cm10.1 and use build 7/7 (which I'm using now) and u can make it better by installing exposed framework and download tinted status bar module and maybe using Avaite launcher will make it cooler and here is a screenshot of how I'm using my phone and sry for writing alot casue my english isnt very good thought.
