Gallery 3D theme/app? - Thunderbolt Themes and Apps

In the ROM AOSP-Flavored Nonsense when you view your apps and scroll through them they go 3d like. I tried searching for a app just to have that feature but i can't find anything for the thunderbolt. Wondering if there is such a thing.

I have the app your talking about on my phone. Just search the market for gallery 3D.
Edit: after re-reading your post I think your talking about the 3D app drawer. If so just download LauncherPro and there is a setting in advanced settings to change it to 3D.

Yeah, it's kind of one or the other. You can always spend $3.49 for LauncherPro Plus and it has a lot of Sense like widgets. It's the closest you'll get to Sense with a 3D app drawer.

Hmm not worth it just for the 3d feature. ATT developers time to make a 3d app drawer

First of all, has anyone tried Laucherpro Plus? It has a ton of widgets that are built specifically to be similar to the Sense widgets (e.g., message widgets, mail widgets, calendar widgets, etc.). It's $2.99, basically if you dl Launcherpro from the Market you can upgrade to it.

Secondly, there are many widgets out there that replicate the Sense widgets. Someone mentioned Beautiful Widgets, which serves the same purpose but doesn't look the same. Do some digging on the forums and you'll find Fancy Widget. It was taken off the Market by HTC because it looks exactly like the Clock/Weather Sense widget.

Thirdly, the launcher dock for Sense acts like the launcher dock for Sense. Sense is the Launcher setup, which includes specific widgets, the same way that Launcherpro has its own widgets. Think of the launcher as the controlling aspect of the operating system; it defines what you can and cannot use in terms of shortcuts, folders, and widgets. So in short, no ... but you certainly can make one look a whole lot like the other. It just takes some work.
And yes Fancy Widget looks exactly like the sense weather clock, and works great, I have been using it on the LP for a couple of months now and no issues, Google it you will find it still in a couple of forum and you can scan and download it. I would post it here but I believe it is against the forum rules, so if you don't find it PM me and I will get it to you

does anyone know of a standalone 3d app drawer? I dont need any of the launcherpro or awd or helix launcher features at this point

Maybe this is what you want. (I think it had a 3d app drawer).

it's force closing on my evo...I think it's for eclair too, i'm running froyo. thanks though
Maybe you should check the Evo forums? I was assuming this was for a 2.1 Captivate.
now you're just overstating the obvious... i've searched through evo forums, all xda-dev. forums and google. I didnt just randomly land in the captivate thread...
I found the working version of the Launcher2.apk you recommended - it does exactly what I dont want - its just another launcher with home screen, 3d app drawer is just one of the things it does (not very well, too). I'm looking for a standalone 3d app drawer, not a launcher with its own home screen. You know, like any other app it would install an icon in programs list and with single click bring up the 3D app drawer, allowing to launch that same program list in fly-in effect 3D wheel
I do not believe there is a standalone application for just the app drawer, you'd have to replace the entire launcher.

DELL Stage Launcher

heres the launcher if anyone wants it... not my work, came from modaco, just reposting it for the captivate...need to be runnin 2.2 for it to work
and the rest of the widgets
Ooooooh looking pretty nifty, but since I'm usually running LP, this just seems a little slow for me, but I like the widgets and, I dunno, just looks really fresh. Good find!!
ya i typically stick with launcher pro but every so often ill switch things up
Thanks butCan't login to facebook in social widget
can't see email aswell

You have to be running Dell Stage as the launcher to use any of the widgets. The Stage launcher is the first APK attached to the OP.

Phone icon not working and facebook login not working are known issues. This is a slick UI though. I'm going to look and see if there is a way to disable some of the screens, I currently don't see a way.

u can disable the screens by just draggin the screen to the trash like any other widget... theyre are just really big widgets haha

does it require terminal emulator or just regular apk installs through installer......?
just regular installer
for the phone app you have to replace it or rename it to phone.apk coz if ur phone apk is like lets say samsungphone.apk the luncher doesnt recognize it. but idk how to do this and this is mentioned in the original post. if someone figures out how to replace the phone.apk on a custom rom without screwing things up ill give em a hug! lol

Home replacement

I use SPB Shell as my home replacement. My problem is I cant set the stock home app as default. When I hit the home button it always goes to SPB Shell even when I have the stock home app set to default and have cleared SPB Shell as the default. I use the Home switcher app from the market and set the stock app as the default. When I clear the default on SPB Shell and hit the home button the stock home app doesnt even show up as an option. Is anyone else having this issue and does any one know of a fix?
The same thing happened for me with launcherpro to go back to stock i had to uninstall LP. I actually like the stock launcher better for the first time ever than LP.
It may be just me, but my screen looks much more vibrant when using SPB Shell. The colors actually look sharper. I have shown it to others and they think the same also.

First off for what SPB Shell 3D costs of course I'm going to install it, for principal if nothing else. I do however really like it. Secondly I want the option and ability to switch between home replacements if I want to.
has anyone using other launchers like launcher pro go launcher or adw, tried to freeze the stock launcher. i know that most roms come with a market launcher already loaded and therefore there is no stock launcher.
So any ideas if running a market launcher, that freezing the stock launcher would be ok or not
any ideas

[REQUEST] App Drawer as Desktop?

does anyone know a way of setting my 4x5 App drawer from ADW or LauncherPro as my desktop screen, doing away with the home-screens entirely, but not horizontally like in MIUI?
Not entirely sure but possibly you could look for an app drawer app in the market, rename it to Launcher2.apk, and replace it in /system/app/ directory.
Of course, nandroid first!

LOL! So true. If you want something like that just get an iPhone. Or even an iPhone Launcher on the market.
The best thing on Android is, that you can customize almost everything. So why he should buy iPhone where he can customize nothing?
I guess it is not bad idea to have home launcher like this. Though I won't probably not used it, because I am satisfied with stock ICS launcher for now.

We're kind of teasing him lol. Having the app drawer as the launcher would look just like an iPhone (just rows of apps icons). So we were saying if he wanted that he should just get an iPhone. If you really desperately want your homescreen like that drag all of your apps out of the drawer and put them on a homescreen. Problem solved?

Because he obviously doesn't want to customize the phone different from an iPhone. And if he was to try and put an iOS theme on there. Then why not just get what your trying so hard to resemble.

He wants to have launcher to scroll verticaly while iPhone launcher scroll horizontaly so I don't see your point at all. And the difference in Android vs. iPhone is just launcher? Nothing else?
