I saw that they are quite the same things, and on the market, ROM Manger is from ClockWork, so I suppose that they are from the same author as well, so why do we use CWM? Isn't ROM Manager quite the same and easier?
Sorry for the stupid question, but I can't get the difference :-S

ROM-Manager is a GUI for Clockworkmod-Recovery. ;-)

They both have same author (koush), the point is that the ROM Manager is compatible with CWM and is a sort of easy to use control center for CWM.
CWM is Android recovery, and ROM Manager is just an app for easy control of recovery and few other settings

You are right that they probably do the same thing, but there is one important difference.
If your phone wont start at all you cant use ROM manager, but you can boot into CWM and restore the phone.

There is no best, one compliments the other.
You need CWM for the base functionality (Backups, Flashing, etc.) but the Rom Manager allows you to manage roms and backups from your phone.
CWM is something you need for sure, ROM manager is just makes it easier to use, so it relies on CWM.
Kinda like you need a TV to watch a movie but with a remote control using your TV is easier but it makes no sense to have a remote w/out having a TV

They're basically telling you that CWM is the base you need to have while ROM Manager is an easy program to let you use the functionalities of CWM from your phone without booting CWM.

No, afaik the Recovery app just reboots the phone into recovery, none of the automated rom installing and downloading is included in it.

Go to Memoria setting, Smonta scheda sd and then remount it
I've my sd card partitionated with apps moved to sd-ext... if I unmount it could be a problem? There isn't an option to just rescan media? I used Rescan Media app, but I believe that in CM7.2 there is an option like that!

you can try, but you will work or data network coverage ... is required for proper functioning of the baseband have V.20P it only works with kernel V.20P in lg roms ... brings V.20P new baseband and kernel I'm pretty sure that solves the phantom calls .... but that time will tell

I had the same issues with tons of FC's.. so what I did was wipe all cache / format restore and reinstalled from the ZIP and everything worked fine.
Play store issue solved by clearing the data for the apparently, had to do a different app for contacts

This rom is great! Good battery life, nice smooth interface. The music player in the pulldown menu kinda sux but damn fine work.
Also dig the 1188!!
Works with any rom already installed as long as you are on the v20p baseband. (I think that's correct)

I love ever part about it the only thing I miss is the lg note app with the widget. The 3D converter accents what the phone is all about. I love my HTC devices but LG got the the 3D device done right.
I put the ICS mod on there and it real through.. much props.
I haven't any problems and its my daily driver and I use it to the fullest extend battery, overclocked, Bluetooth stereo, WiFi, stream music, WiFi tether,... like 10 gb this month.. 7 throttled.. real talk..

Guys i read this post and i REALLY want to flash this rom in my Thrill, but i have some questions and big doubts. O downladed ALL the files in wuala folder Thrill v20p. Now i need help:
- is this ROM overclocked to 1180??? Can't i use p920 kernel with 1200 or 1300 OC from Accura Max Rom Optimus 3D? But... in the files i saw Boot file with 1.2.... what does it means, is there a OC more than 1180 in this ROM?
- installing the ROM it's already rooted and OC?
- with SO much files to downlaod... how exactly do i need to do to install the ROM correctly?
- what does the ICS mod do?
- is this baseband 4G?
- is this ROM multilanguage? (pt-br)
please, help, i REALLY want to try this ROM!

I installed the ROM/ICS Mod that you have from you link and Everything works smoothly, it will be my daily driver.
Only gripe I had was the English locale is not listed (blank) in the ROM, I had to download an app. called "Set Locale and Language" free from android store to show the Ingles (Estados Unidos). After that everything was gravy! Thanks again!

Hi all! I have been searching for an answer for a long time now but no luck so far. It seems that my camera works only on stock and MIUI :S I can't get it to work on any other roms (including every version of CM). I have also tried perseus kernel, boeffla kernel and the ones that follow the different roms..
The error message is the same no mather what, and is as follows: "Can't connect to camera".
Theres also a faint hardware(?) sound right before this message pops up..
Im sorry if there already are threads about this.
I have still not managed to get my camera working, but I might have found something that can help (you tell me). Im pasting my post from MIUI thread, which I posted there because I got the camera problem in MIUI too after the update.. (camera worked on .20)
I might have found a solution which involves flashing stock, extracting cameradata from there, flashing miui and then replacing cameradata with stock. I also need to change some permissions after that on which I might need some help. I will inform you all about the possible progress when I get home from work. Im still open for sugestions though.

which roms you have tried?
maybe you have loose hardware in your phone?
I have tried different ones and I know its not the hardware because I can go back to stock and use my camera

Que tal amigos. Instalé el PACMAN ROM y la cámara dejó de funcionar. También en la SlimBean.Y lo peor es que cuando quise restaurar la copia de seguridad de la ROM STOCK que hice con la TWRP se queda en el logo de Samsung. Alguien ya sabe la solución?

How are friends? PACMAN installed the ROM and the camera stopped working. Also on SlimBean.Y the worst is that when I tried to restore the backup I made the STOCK ROM with TWRP stays in the logo of Samsung. Someone you know the solution?
issue is due to kernel.

Hi @nik60 , very nice rom. I put AMCHA Rom KK v4.00 yesterday, it's fast and ram usage is very good despite many installed apps (aroma installer is fantastic). Now i'm using agni kernel and na8 modem.
Wifi works perfectly without any fix in my device.
The only problem is robotic voice in calls (outcoming and incoming) and microphone. So i flashed your fix and now microphone works good but robotic voice is still present.
I hope that problem will be fixed in next versions (because i really like this rom!) and my feedback will help you in your work.

youtube issue
Hello.
The first off all say BIG THANKS for your work, i´m using your rom and it´s awesome.
It was bit difficult to install it but after some attempts i can install it and make it work in awesome mode, but
today i try to look one video in youtube and that is no video, it have fixed image with youtube logo.
I read carefully the full 24 pages of the post and any person have that issue.
Can you say me how to fix it??

In spanish: No funciona el internet de datos móviles, la reproducción de video algunos formatos se verá raro (creo que no pasa con otras aplicaciones) y la grabación de video no funciona con la cámara que trae la rom. Tampoco funciona el bluetooth (al igual que roms anteriores)
In english: Mobile data isn't working, reproducing videos on some formats will look weird (I think it doesn't happen with 3rd party apps) and the video recording doesn't work with the camera of the rom. Also bluetooth isn't working (like previous roms)

Yes, the mobile data is a current bug. I will take a look on the cm 12 for pocket neo to fix it
Hi there,
I've received my first smartphone. It's my father's old Samsung GT-S6010, also known as Galaxy Music. As it is heavily outdated, I want to upgrade it to Cyanogenmod 12.1 to get all the fancy stuff from Android 5.1. However, being new to the world of smartphones, I don't know how to properly install this custom ROM.
The phone has been updated to Android 4.1.2, rooted and the Samsung USB drivers are up-to-date, so all that's left is to backup the current system, to perform that wipe thing and to install that custom ROM. Is that correct?
- Regarding the backup, can I simply drag and drop some files from the sd card to my computer or are the things I need hidden?
- How do I perform that wipe? I guess I need a terminal, but Android is not Linux Mint Debian.
- Heimdall doesn't recognize this phone. Odin 3 does, but it looks complicated and can't seem to handle zip files. How can I install this custom ROM?
I'd be very greatful if someone would help out a beginner.
UPDATE: After installing busybox and zit-flash, I managed to get that TRWP image for S6010 running. Then I did perform a factory wipe and installed the custom ROM from this forum.
Mission completed. Thank you very much for supporting this smartphone with a custom ROM.

Hmm, well I updated the device tree based on galaxy pocket neo's cm 12 and don't know how but with the fix script, the data mobile worked so I'll release the next version soon

Sorry for the bump, but will this ROM ever get updated again? As far as i know, Alonso, the creator, is retired (sadly) and i wanted to see this ROM update to be more stable (Like fixing the video playing issue) E.G Whatsapp, some videos look weird (most likely 3gp). Currently i'm using cm11, but i'd like to switch back to cm12, because lollipop running smoothly on a phone like this, is really wonderful.. So, will another update for this great ROM be ever posible?
