You could use other SMS apps from the Market like Go SMS and many others that give more functionality than the stock SMS app
@slimdizzy thanks for a reply. Yeah root using antk application. The problem is at there is no sms message center at other application sir.

Is there a way to manually remove a app? Iv installed an app called screen off and lock that wont uninstall. I just recieve a message stating its failed

Try Titanium Backup. Your phone needs to be rooted for this to work.
Also, there are quite a few uninstaller apps on the App Market.

Had the same problem.
Your phone must be rooted and you can find that app in your /system/app directory and delete the .apk and the .odex file with the same filename.
Reboot
For me was this the solution.
