I dont really understand it. I'll stick to my daily routine of choosing between launcherpro, Xperia arc launcher, touchwiz, and regina launcher. I have way too many launchers on here, most I don't even use.

I don't like how on spb shell you can't just have one small widget on the bottom corners on the screen main reason I returned it

Windows Phone 7 app

Not sure if anyone know this but you can download Launcher 7 to make your phone looks somewhat like win phone 7... not bad and so smooth

i am pissed that they can change the theme of the status bar with that app but none of our custom roms have that ability it would be a nice feature.
ps not pissed as much as i hate windows mobile and seeing that feature in that app made me mad for some reason lol

You can be pissed all you wanna be. You don't like your status bar flash a theme and your done.
Fyi: that app dosnt actually change the status bar. It doers what alot of other launchers from the market can do and just hides the status bar. The only difference with this launcher it has its own status bar.

I installed it just to see it and I hate it. Don't like windows phones at all.

The only thing I liked about this launcher was the fade out/fade in animation when switching between the home screen and app list. I am not a fan of the layout and inability to have widgets.
After the last update, it actually does change the status bar to look like wp7. It gets updates every single day. That dev is really trying hard. And its just about fully customizeable, you can even add widgets! Pretty cool imho.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
I dont man.. as much as I don't like wp7 I'm kind of digging this launcher.. its my daily driver now. I've always used laincher pro or golauncher and something about this keeps me using it. Don't knock it till you try it
Tapatalkin' it from my Epic 3g
Heres a quick vid of it running on my Epic .. Sorry for the blurry vid. my camera sucks. When you first install it its kinda of bland but you can customize it to your liking.

I think everybody fail to realize the one advantage this launcher has for your phone... antitheft. No one is going to steal a windows phone

Its good, especially if you download the multi tile icons the dev posted on xda somewere. Its nice, I've been using for about a week now. I still prefer the android look over this, but its different, so I'm sticking with it for a while.

just use adw, LP, desktop visualizer, etc to change the icons on your homescreens to the iphone icons. much easier than a theme.
Its called MIUI....and its coming soon....Waiting on Slayer's RIL Merge....then CM/ASOP and roms that really on that RIL. If you wait for MIUI...that will be the closest you can get to iPhone OS on Android.
I have a iPhone and thunderbolt (only using one obviously). I find the UI of the iPhone to be boring. But for what ever reason you want your thunderbolt to look like the iPhone I would also(as suggested by others )use adw or some other launcher. Change icons

I will second that. Isn't their phone launcher $15 or something along those lines. Hopefully that is not an indication of the potential cost for this launcher.
I don't I might be tempted even at 15 bucks. Wish we could get a beta

Home launcher options

hey all,
I am running the tiamat hammerhead rom... I like it but right now there are not too many great themes for the xoom. A few color changing ones and the touchwiz port which i did like, but im down for something more. The best way to go about this short of doing my own theme is to get a good home launcher and use some custom animations and icon packs...
Here is the rub.. A lot of the home launchers are too phone-ish.. If that makes sense. Any suggestions? I was partial to ADW ex launcher but i looove the stock launching set-up. I mostly would like to maybe change animations, speeds, etc, but most importantly use icon packs. Any ideas for me or suggestions on good launchers with a stock home screen feel? I dont want my xoom to have a home screen like a giant phone lol
I just stick to stock until someone makes a launcher for honeycomb

Lol i guess that will be the case. No one has any advice...
I would recommend ADW EX, but since it hasn't been updated in 3 months and isn't fully compatible with 3.2...
Yeah adw ex doesn't work well with 3.2 at the moment. I believe the older adw (non ex) works but u gotta find an .apk for that

Not true, imo, ADW EX works great, so smooth with my config and I like having 6 screens. ADW settings is mostly disabled, meaning I can't change the size of icons, basically. But everything else works really well.

Yeah thy made a 3.2 compatible version today... Still not all the way there in my opinion and quirky as anderweb releases tend to be at first until they find all the bugs. Props to them for the effort but i am still not sold. Gonna have to just try the stargate theme coming out soon! Which looks badass!

Replacing stock home with golauncher???

Hi guys I didn't see anything about this yet in the forums so I was wondering ... since I have my phone rooted I can uninstall the unwanted apps .... I was thinking of uninstalling the original home screen and replacing with golauncher. Is this worth doing .. I need any pros and cons you guys can come up with ....so far I haven't been too successful with roms ... thanks

It's definitely worth switching in my opinion there's absolutely no down side, the stock launcher sucks and most others are customizable. Go launchers pretty good, I like adw better but it's all about what you prefer. Be careful if deleting stock apps they can be trouble if they're not deodexed.

I have noticed that while browsing through root file manager you can find the apks of the stock apps .....I'll look into it a little ... I deleted bing and was able to reinstall it that way .... I wonder if I could do the same with stock launcher if needed

I would freeze the stock home not uninstall it just in case you needed to get it back.

Good idea I didn't think about that ... so what about battery you think it'll still drain like crazy ... and sometimes launchers lag a little more than stock launchers?

I've tried a ton of launchers, if you want one that's quick and light on your battery i'd go with zeam launcher. Adw is more customizable and still very fast, go launcher felt a little slower to me but still a good option, launcher pro is okay but in my opinion slower than the others. You should try a few out until you find one that works for you...

I would say yes replace the stock launcher but don't uninstall it. If any issues arise with go launcher you need thestock one to be there

+1 for Zeam!
I've tried dozens including Go but I always, always come back to Zeam. I like mine clean and fast and Zeam delivers.
If you want themes then definitely give Go a shot. TONS of devs on that one. And I wouldn't worry about battery. I keep Go installed so I can use Go Locker and have never had issues. /t
