I'm happy to share my first "ROM" for the Samsung Nexus S with you.
It's a very easy ROM.

I'm 99.99% sure that this ROM looks the same as the stock Gingerbread.

Already merged full Voodoo improvements into the kernel, so it will be included in the next release
Can you tell me what makes this rom different from the stock rom or other aosp based roms ? Is it that your rom is really close to stock with some tweaks ?
ASking this pure out of curiosity .. quite a few roms posted here so deciding which one to choose is getting harder
This ROM is very close to stock. It's the perfect ROM for my personal use.
The differences between this ROM and the stock Google one are:
* this ROM is not odexed
* this ROM is built upon android gingerbread (latest source, newer than 2.3.3)
* this ROM is rooted and includes busybox
* the kernel is the latest linux kernel 2.6.35 stable : 2.6.35.12 with BFQ and Voodoo improvements (sound, ext4 and color in the next version)
* the apns list of cyanogenmod is included
* the hosts file is up to date (thanks to AdFree)
* this ROM is able to run scripts in /system/etc/init.d/ during boot
* the reboot menu from cyanogenmod will be included in the next version
* some other tweaks I've forgotten

I have a small question : because it is build from aosp source that means that there is no full support for some european languages, right ? I am from the netherlands and noticed that als aosp based roms do not have full dutch language support ( eg dutch dictionary for the keyboard) like my european stock gri54 has ..
Wait for the 0.2b version I'm uploading it tonight and there will be a full german language support in it
the germans are my neighbours I am from the netherlands (dutch / nederlands) , great though that you are building in support for other languages .
Ooops sorry, I've misunderstood! Unfortunately, there won't be a dictionnary for your language I'll try to find it, though. But I don't think it exists :/
Well no big deal .. I solved it by buying gingerbread keyboard in the market ..the paid version has an option to download dutch language from the market .. I wanted to use that dictionary for the stock gingerbread keyboard but I do not have the skills to do that ..

Still strange that stock gri54 has the dutch dictionary ..

Search button doesn't work because there is no google search.
And if by home button you mean the homescreens display, that's launcher-wise.

i tried installing go launcher ex. when i press the home button it wont go to the homescreen, and also nothing happens if you hold the home button
p.s. the kernel can be overclocked to 1550mhz.
its now stock 1100mhz.
Works perfect for me with go launcher even the search button works. The only app I miss is talk its not include with the gapps package.

I have 2 times gallery app repeated and is buggy:
Install again gapps. This happens because you updated and no installed gapps after installing.
I need to go root with adb, but it doesn't work:
adb root
After you can type "adb remount" or simply "adb shell" and you are root.
How can I do to enable KSM?:

Then Reboot -First boot might take a while .
After The First Boot , Do another reboot after 3-5 mins For apps to get settled
If you need other languages , grab the language packs by tchaari - French pack

A simple Guide to use after install . [ Miui 4 is a bit different ]
1. Make sure to Turn On Superuser permission in The miui Security app .
2. Make sure to Enable Usb Debugging in Developer Options menu .
3. Make sure to Enable Unknown Sources in Security menu ( Settings - Security - Unknown sources )
4. In contacts now the sim contacts are also visible , so if you only need restored contacts just select it on the top right corner in Contacts ( after restore contacts a reboot will be needed )
5. Keep in mind that MIUI 4 is still @ stable beta stage & there are some issues present . & will be updated in weekly updates .

@ Oodie - check your #fix screen-off brightness script, I think that you have values in there for Xperia not for Nexus S.
Edit: Your #Fix Led Permissions script is not working on Nexus S as we don't have LEDs.
Just flash ROM and seems Superuser don't work.

root permissions will not stay enabled. i switch it on, but then when i go back to check its off... so i cannot use any root apps.. including tb

I just checked with 2 -3 reboots & SU app ( security ) works fine .
Make sure you enable Superuser permissions from the Security app & enable Usb debugging in Developer Options menu . & also Titanium backup old versions are not compatible with ICS ( as i understand ) . Just downloaded the market free version & all app data restored fine for me .

Codename Android is a fully open source rom that focuses on speed, usability, and getting every feature that we can get CRAMMED in there .

We are pleased to announce the CodeName Android ROM Utility. All info about it can be found HERE as well as the download link. For now it will act as an app that will centralize all downloads for CodeName Android. There is one feature that needs to be added. hey SIs may be you should take a look at this i couldn't get 3g to work too i flash a different modem i change kb5 to kb1 and still couldn't get 3g to work .

Hmm... Would someone mind flashing the Glitch kernel for me, and a known working modem? Sorry about this, I did test it, but since I don't have a t-mobile sim card, I couldn't check 3G, and assumed it worked.

WHEN ROM FIRST BOOTS UP YOU MUST NOT SET PHONE UP UNTIL THE REBOOT WINDOW POPS UP! ONCE REBOOT WINDOW POPS UP WAIT A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND THEN PRESS THE REBOOT BUTTON! AFTER THAT SET PHONE UP AS USUAL.
HOW TO FLASH
DIRECTIONS FOR FLASHING AROMA
* When installing vXI you don't want to wipe in recovery like usual... instead just flash vXIII and when in aroma choose the full wipe option. When flashing the rom you MUST full wipe! If not you will bootloop! Also when flashing for the first time when you get to theme options if you do not want a theme and just want it to be stock just simply skip that page by pressing next.. I have included a "Return back to stock" option for those who flashed a theme and for one reason or another don't like it or just prefer stock to go back in aroma and flash. Last thing.... if you are just flashing aroma to get rid of some bloat or to try out a different theme/return back to stock, or try out one of the optional apps included in aroma then full wipe is not necessary.
HOW TO FLASH ROM ON A DEFFERENT VARIENT ex. SPRINT/INTERNATIONAL USERS
* For those users who are not of the T-Mobile varient that would like to flash this rom I will include the link to UniKernal v8-002 Aroma to flash directly after flashing SICK as HELL. When in the UniKernal aroma you need to make sure and choose the patch option which will allow you to flash other roms not built for your carrier fixing the audio issue when making calls. I have tried on Sprint and it works perfect!
RECOMMENDATIONS/HOW TO SETUP ROM
* When doing a fresh install of SICK as HELL choose all options on the main menu of aroma options which are WIPE, INSTALL FULL ROM, DEBLOAT, THEMES/APPS. Again always FULL WIPE when installing rom. When coming to debloating the rom choose only the bloat in which you use. That's the beauty of root! Not having to have all that bull**** that comes pre-installed on our devices that we never use always running wasting our battery by running in the background somehow and also screwing with the performance... When you get to theme options if you just want stock then don't choose anything and click the next button. You can always come back later if you choose to use a theme or if you did choose a theme and just want to return to stock. But I hate stock personally and also hate all 99% of the themes offered in the theme store so I always choose and recommend "Black Ice" theme option. It's a clean ass theme with 80% transparent bgs throughout so you can see your wallpaper for the bg on almost every screen, and I made almost all the icons white and font white so that you can choose which color you'd like your phone to have. As far as the optional apps go that I have offered in aroma I recommend the XDA app that's offered and I use CM Music player. Moto weather widget is also pretty cool. After you have made all your decisions then flash rom. When rom boots let sit for 2 mins and then reboot! After finally getting to home page the first thing your gonna want to do is to go into SICK Rom Control and go into the status bar/clock options and change the alignment for the clock. If you don't then you will see no clock lol. And pick what ever color you'd like if you want? I personally choose "Custom clock" in clock style and under "Custom java format" I put "hh:mm:ss:" which adds seconds to the status bar clock ex. 07:30:21. Next I go into battery bar options and in options i change it to " Height: 10, Location on Screen: Bottom, Aignment on screen: Center, and then tick animate and choose pulse up/down and accelerate-decelerate." Then pick whatever colors you'd like. Next if you want change the drop down carrier text to whatever you'd like. After that choose the "Hold Back To Kill" option and set it to 600. When setting it up for the first time it will automatically direct you to Settings/Accessibility to turn the feature on. Now that you have the status bar options all done next I always go into AdAway and run it so that it will get rid of all annoying ads in apps and such. Next go into Fly On Mods. Either Choose the "Enable All Feature" or just go through it and choose the options that you want. Lastly I always go into launcher settings by holding down on the screen on home page. Choose whatever options you'd like. That's pretty much it as far as setting the rom up goes... on a side note I personally always after signing into the Play Store I hate when apps automatically update so I go directly into settings and change it to "Do not auto-update apps" option. One last side note... anytime you do a fresh install of a rom it takes a little time for it takes about 2 days to settle in which you will notice better performance and battery.

Before Flashing Wipe Both Caches.... If you decide not to then don't complain that your getting fc's of it's not working!
When you first open the launcher settings, you will see it with black text on a black bg, to fix please do the following:
Tap launcher settings, turn on the power saving mode then hit back once and you will see power mode enable.Now go back to settings and turn power mode off and everything will be back to normal. You only have to do this the first time you open the launcher settings.
To enable infinite scrolling of the home pages apply these settings:
Uncheck My Magazine and make sure that transition effect is set to something other than Plain-NoWrap.Then exit out of settings and uncheck the 6th gear page.Now you will have infinite scrolling of your pages. If you leave the 6th gear page checked, you will end up opening it when you reach the end of each side.
Some of those settings might not stick after rebooting, so you might have to set them up again.

Download zip file and flash in custom recovery. I personally use TWRP but whatever custom recovery you use is fine. Dirty flash is cool also no need to wipe caches but it never hurts... Reboot and enjoy! If you want to revert back to stock Samsung boot splash simply download the revert zip and flash in recovery the same way.

Did you fix your phone? If you aren't familiar with ADB then Odin will be your only hope. Next time please read instructions. Do not use the usual wipe in recovery when flashing the rom. Use the full wipe option in Aroma instead. But just get the Odin tar for your device then when device boots up again make sure and go into developer options and click OEM unlocking. after that re root via Odin by flashing kernel with root injected, flash custom recovery and then flash rom.

Really enjoying this rom... Only issue, i accidentaly flashed the Black and white theme and flashed the stock one from aroma, but some texts is still black and white... but its no big issue..
I also noticed auto correct doesnt work on the stock keyboard. Its on in settings but it doesnt replace any mispelled words...
Would this rom support F2FS? Or would it be ok to flash rom + hackerkernel or Arter's that support it? I've been on unified roms for a while, but I'd like to give this one a try. Looks cool.

It's because of xposed already being installed. You have to backup snapchat with tb on a stock or another rom that doesnt have xposed installed from the jump. You might want to wait though cause i think his next version will not come with xposed installed from default.
When I play Zigzag it lags randomly and I fail is there something in Rom settings to help with this?
Using my wired headset, callers cannot hear me through the mic. I have to use the headset to talk... Went back to stock and it works... not sure whats going on

I'm releasing an update today without xposed. Anyone having issues with snapchat or other things more than likely are using xposed or wanam to be specific that's where your problem lies
