It may be more expensive but it's a one-off purchase - I have bought an official SE one.
Performs identically to my nÂș 1 battery

hey, those cheapo batteries on ebay that are like $9, i assume you got one of those? does it allow the 1% battery meter to work?
thanks
matt
i got mine for 4 dollars. and yes, the 1% battery meters work. never had the red LED of death with it. a full charge lasts the whole day with heavy use.
but i'm not telling you to go out and buy one right now, just sharing my experience with fake/china batteries
original ou can fint on sonystyle but it hashigh price bout 90$
on amazon there are one it has about 44$ but I'm not sure that this will be originl.
if you have mone go and buy from sonystyle for 90$
also i have fake china battery
it works normal but qhen battery power bcomes under 50% it can turn off any time.
my girlfriend bought me an authentic original BST-41 from SE for the full price, so it obviously performs perfectly, but I really need a third battery (LOL). sometimes i'm using my phone ALL day, tempted to try one of these hong kong POSs now....
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260548004689
I bought this battery last week for $14.99 from a company in florida. It arrived in sealed sony ericsson packaging. It also looked identical to the orig bst-41 i was replacing. So far it is performing wonderfully.
I`ve just found this:
(can`t post link yet, so google it)
Mugen Power 3400mAh Extended Battery for LG Optimus Black P970 / DOCOMO LG Optimus Bright [HLI-P970XL]
Looks promising, capacity is more than double
Do you thik it will make phone thicker?
Yes, the phone will be thicker.
If you look at Mugen direktly (first hit on google) there will be extra shells shipped with the accu. If you close enough at the picture you will see a little pit at the camera spot. I assume it will be about 5 mm thicker or so.
Greetings

I really like the look of this extended battery. Since the phone is already so thin I don't think an extended battery will make as big of a difference as it does with other phones. My only issue is the $100 price tag. Hopefully there'll be more options by the time this phone hits the USA, specifically VMU.

OMFG ! How ugly ! OB lost all the sex !
There is a highly reputable, reliable and respected seller on ebay from whom I have bought many items (but not batteries). They are selling high capacity, japanese batteries for a reasonable price.
Go onto ebay and search for 'Gold 2430MAH battery optimus black'
I emailed them regarding the quality of the batteries and the price and basically their answer was that they have an excellent feedback score on almost all batteries they have sold and the price is good because they get it straight from the factory.
I have ordered a set and will report on it after some use

There are no miracles in that area, there's no physical possibility of having such a big capacity in such a small form.
This is more than 100% fake.
Waiting for your confirmation.

Here you can find users feedback about those batteries. All of them are fake. Higher capacity requires larger size so only Mugen batteries are not fake.
Where would you say is reliable to get a new battery then? To pay 30gbp for a mugen battery is too much I think

If you need new battery - buy original one, if you need longer time, think rather of buying good 5v charger. The one for P970 is 4.8v, and some of polish lg users claim that 5v extends battery live. Think of some original microUsb charger, eg.Nokia.

I think, if you need a good product, then it's normal to pay a good price. Besides, Mugen has great customer support on Facebook http://facebook.com/mugenpowerbatteries and Twitter and through their website. They changed 1 battery for me already without issues. I rather pay a 100$ and know that I can change the battery if it does not work, rather than buying a bulk of useless junk on eBay for 10$...same goes with any other product - you can buy cheep shows and throw them away in a month, or buy good ones and wear for a year.
How much is the extended battery?

Mugen over rates their batteries by quite a bit. Check batteryboss.org
Mugen are the best and the "only" or is there any other brand....?

No such thing as free lunch. If it is much cheaper it is for a reason.
When is the last time you bought a 50 dollar gold Rolex?
But in case you feel adventurous and do buy that extended battery please do make a experience update.
I got a similar pack for my 5800 when the original battery died and to be fair performance is better than i expected for a 15 euro
Anybody tried those "gold"2300mah batteries, yeah those slim ones?

I just ordered 1
I just ordered a 3-pack of 1500mAh batteries with a battery charger for like $12 shipped from eBay. Since they are coming from Hong Kong, I have a bit of a wait, but has anybody tried the eBay batteries on their Xperia Play?
I used similar batteries on my Samsung Captivate with no problems other than they seemed to be only slightly less capacity than my original (based on non-scientific gut checks at the end of the day of how much charge I thought I should have.)
In searching before posting this, I saw some nightmares in the HTC forums where they peeled back the label from their batteries and found them rated by another label 500mAh less than what the top label said.
I'll report back either way when they arrive.
Got them in today. I took some pics to show what they look like right out of the pack. Notice that they all have the same S/N. Hmmmm
The charger has a USB port at the bottom and glows red when charging. If it is like the other eBay battery chargers I've seen, it will likely turn a different color when full.
Will report back once I've had a chance to use them.
Good luck with the batteries. I couldn't find the offer with 3 batteries so maybe they took it out in the last month (ebay.com).
If they turn out to be ok it could be a good investment for an emergency. Looking forward to your results.
I picked up the batteries from this seller.
As it turns out, two of the batteries seem to be bad. I sent a note to the seller to see about making it right. I'll update the thread with whatever the outcome turns out to be.
Regardless, the one that is working is doing a great job. I've been using it in place of my original battery, and so far, I can't seem to tell any difference.
Update: I accepted an offer for my Xperia Play, so I won't be following up here. I sold it with the good extra battery and am probably going to get a Samsung next.
I bought a set with 2 batteries and they seem to work fine, just slightly less capacity as the original. I know just charge the batts separately and swap them when I need a new one.
I got this response from the seller:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for shopping with us.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are now processing replacement for you.
Customer satisfaction is important to us, as a token of courtesy, there is no need for you to return the original item to us.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. If there is anything else we can do to assist you, please feel free to let us know. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tina

That was really nice of them. I checked the seller but they won't ship outside of the US, even tho it's coming from Hong Kong D:
There's a chinese company that makes 1800mAh batteries for the X10. They work in the play, and are good quality. All the reviews said they actually offered better battery life, unlike a lot of cheap alternatives. I can't remember the brand name, but they're black with gold writing.

Normally I wouldn't trust third party batteries from eBay, although I did buy an extended battery for my laptop off of Amazon over a year ago (third party) and it stills holds a charge fantastically.
Anyone know were I can fins good batteries for this?
Extended or oem

has the exploding fake battery gone out of style? I remember a few years ago there were a series of incidents were batteries exploded. I suppose nothing is guaranteed, but are these batteries at least third party from a respectable place?
i'll probably go for the Sedio one http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17ssn2.htm
1750 mAh without changing battery door
I use the cheap Chinese versions from Ebay with chargers. They work just as well if not identical to the original. Since I charge them in the wall, they can explode if they like.
Seriously though, I have also used the same ebay source for my wife's EVO 4G as well without issue. If fact she prefers them over the HTC red OEM's for some reason.
so many sellers
which is the preferred one?
Just throwing this out there, but authentic new Samsung batteries go for between $9 and $15 on Amazon. That's pretty cheap for peace of mind.
are they genuine oem?
care to link to one?
do exploding batteries only explode when being charged?
thanks!

I don't notice a difference in life span, and for that price for a Samsung battery, can you argue with it?
Is it one u would find at a retail store? or coming in with a phone? or a rejected one that didnt meet specs?

if someone could help i offer a beer )
or some advice how to order and get the product here
thank u all
I think your best bet is looking on Swappa.com and see if anyone is selling their used wooden back Moto X and willing to ship it internationally.
Or you can buy a Skinomi wood skin and slap it on the back of a regular Moto X.

There are some sellers on eBay who will take your custom order then ship it off to you when they get it. They are pretty expensive and don't really think is worth it (around $630 USD plus shipping). But it really depends on how much you are willing to spend. There are also some people who are already selling their wooden Moto X's on eBay. 80% of the time Swappa is the most affordable option though.
