Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if the Bell Atrix HD is compatable with AT&T's LTE?
I recently purchased 2 of them on Amazon and they are SIM unlocked and work on the network, but im not in an LTE area. Is the Bell Atrix HD the same as the AT&T one (spec wise)? Would I have any signal issues due to different radio versions, etc?
Thanks
I would guess that it's not compatible. In Canada, the equivalent to AT&T would be Rogers.

Yeah it should be since they use the same lte bands as rogers and at&t

Should be no issue at Bell, Telus and Rogers are the same frequencies as AT&T.
The main difference is no branding on the phone anywhere as well as the Bell one is $150.00 more (We got screwed on the price).
Bell LTE vs AT&T LTE
The LTE Bands are not the same (from Wikipedia):

I just bought an unlocked Bell AHD and I am on AT&T. I am in an area where there is LTE but I am not getting any LTE signal. But, this may be because my last phone did not have LTE, and I may not have an LTE data plan. I plan on going to AT&T today possibly to see if my data plan is LTE or not. I'll let you know.
I have gotten up to HSPA+ so far.

Okay so I just got back from the AT&T store and my unlocked Bell Motorola Atrix HD has working LTE. What you have to do is when you go to the store, they will want to add the IMEI of your phone to your account. This will not work properly, because it isn't an AT&T phone. So, basically you will have to let them know that it is an unlocked phone and you need LTE on it. What the guy that helped me ended up doing to get the phone to register on my account was he went get the IMEI for another AT&T Atrix HD and just changed the last number. This way, my account knew that I had an LTE phone, and the LTE data plan was activated. While they are doing this, you may have to reboot your phone. Also, you need to set up the APN settings for the phone. These are the ones I used:http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31135-att-apns-for-custom-roms/
Make sure all of them are in the phone, and select the LTE one. My advice is to not leave the store until LTE works (assuming you have LTE in your area).
I hope this helps.
ok can you use a Sprint HTC One on the ATT network if you unlock remove simlock and all that jazz? Or is there a fundamental hardware difference?

Yes but u will be limited to an extent. You will not have access to all their 3g and 4g areas

The reason I asked was because I thought it was a multimode phone.
No you can't, Sprint hard blocks their phones to prevent you from using it on any other US carrier.

I've had success with using tmobile with calls and data(5mb/s). It picked up the att network too, but I've never tried.

Interesting, I was going by the information in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587
And I assumed that Sprint did it to all their phones because it would be odd to just hard block a single model.
I have unlocked mine but have had no luck connecting to att when putting my att sim in

You can sim unlock the Sprint One and use it per this article.
This model of the One supports Sprint's 3G (CDMA 800/850/1900) and LTE (1900 only) networks, along with GSM/EDGE on 850/900/1800/1900 and HSPA 14.4 on the 1900 and 2100MHz bands. That means this phone will roam internationally at 3G speeds. In theory, you could unlock it to work poorly on AT&T's and T-Mobile's networks, but it wouldn't be able to take advantage of fast speeds on either.

I have HTC one unlocked by Sprint and Galaxy S4 unlocked with DFS tool. Neither can get any signal from ATT or Tmobile including all the MVNO.
Lycamobile sim card will show "Roaming" with HTC one, but it keeps dropping. Dev said Sprint blocked MNC/MCC of ATT/Tmobile.
I can get on T-Mobile fine, never tried AT&T but it would also depend on the frequency that is in use in your market. Regarding the Sprint GS4, the unlock method out for it will only unlock for international only, while the unlock on HTC is a true unlock and will work as long as the bands are compatible.
I have a t-mobile sim in right now my area has hspa on 1900 so I use that for higher speed data than sprint 3G then switch the mode to cdma for voice

After you've done the unlock for the Sim, can you see the other available networks while the Sprint sim is still installed or do you have to remove the Sprint Sim and install a T-Mobile or ATT sim for it to be able to "see" other networks??

Only one sim slot and haven't tried. In Settings>mobile data>network mode you can select CDMA only and see Sprint 3G with either SIM in, LTE/CDMA will give Sprint voice with other SIM and Sprint 3G and/or LTE data only if Sprint SIM card in. GSM/UMTS only can only be selected if a GSM sim is inserted if I recall correctly. The GSM options including search networks are only available on that mode.
It would be cool if I could use T-Mobile's 3G for data and Sprint's CDMA for voice. Is this possible?

I do not think so not without manually switching the modes on and off. The moment you select the T-Mobile network your voice & phone number will switch to whatever is registered on the T-Mobile sim.

Correct however if you have your sprint number integrated with Google Voice you can use apps like Talkatone or GrooveIP for calls via VoIP while on Tmobile data.

I like the way you think.
Okay. This is probably going to seem really dumb, but. I was able to score a moto x off a guy that works for sprint. It has a slot for a nano-sim. Could I, theoretically, throw in my sim card from my GSM provider, and have it run off the GSM Towers (id go with sprint or verizon, but neither of them have LTE here where I live, as where AT&T has H+)
In the mobile network settings, it gives me the option to choose CDMA or GSM and a couple other choices, so it would seem obvious that it would work, however, it might just be the option for International GSM support.
Thoughts?
There are so many numerous threads about this, it is a cdma phone and it is totally sim locked in the USA so it will only work cdma in the US bit it will work abroad on a gsm network

i have Galaxy S3 mini verizon SM-G730V
i want to use it outside US on any GSM network.
please some one guide me,
I know this is possible
i am using sprint s4 L720T on GSM already.
sprint S4 L720T is try band CDMA phone.
I have a Note 8 with a Sprint sim lock. The places I see advertised on Ebay that do the unlocking say the phone will only work on GSM networks. I plan on using Verizon, which is CDMA. Is there any way after doing the unlock to get the CDMA to work again? Can I flash Verizon firmware to fix that? Thanks
