So i tried flashing a rom with CWM, it all went fine. So i went back to CWM and restore my stock ROM, and i also wanted to get rid of the CWM by flashing Paul's stock recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021554
Now i can't get back into recovery nor the OS itself. The only thing i could do is nvflash since all i can do now is to go to nvflash mode, my phone is a HK ROM v10A, but all i could find was v10b since Modoco is "re-constructing" its website. So here's the question:
1. i nvflashed v10b into my phone, everything was success, but when it was done, its stuck in a bootloop at the LG logo. I re-flash a couple times with success with no errors, but still the same bootloop. What can i do now?
2. Do i have to flash the same 10A rom in order to get back into the OS?
3. I heard nvflash messes with files related to the phone's IMEI, under what circumstance would nvflash corrupt those files and lose my IMEI?
Yes i m an idiot, but please help!!!!

can you give details?

You need to unbrick your phone. Simple, fast, without problems.
where can i find the latest stock rom in BIN/FLS format?
You can't.
the last version is the 20N and for this version there is no BIN/FLS file.
If you want you can flash with smartflash tool the 20b version (it's indian) which is very similar to 20N.
If you want absolutely the 20N you can use the new method they discovered to flash with KDZ.
I want to go back to stock ROM. Can anyone please explain how I'm doing it?
I'm trying on a step-by-step guide:
1. Flash BackToEXT3 by paulobrien
2. Wipe data/cache
3. Flash stock ROM (and the custom kernel will be overwritten)
Flashed stock V20q, and then updated the phone via PC Suite. For other noobs, that uses this guide later; I now have no root and stock kernel etc., and also updated baseband. Theres now need to use BACKTOEXT3 when you flash stock V20q via cwm.
Is this correct?
Which ROM do I need to flash, where can I find it? I guess I need to download one of these.
I have baseband 622, if that has anythingto do with it
You are doing it ok. If you are using firmware from the link that you are posted, flash it with smartflash. You can flash the version of your liking, however I recommend the latest v20q which is a very good one.
Or you can flash via cwm this stock v20q or Rebuild of V20Q.
v20q baseband is recommended too, with v20q rom.
Hope it helps .
I was going to flash V10d with cwm, and then update via LG PC Suite.
Isen't that possible?
Edit: It worked! Flashed stock V20q, and then updated the phone via PC Suite. For other noobs, that uses this guide later; I now have no root and stock kernel etc., and also updated baseband. Theres now need to use BACKTOEXT3 when you flash stock V20q via cwm.

after successfully flashing CM9 to my Defy I convinced my friend to go to ICS as well...so far so good/bad!
I followed the guide to install CMW recovery and did a backup of the stock ROM.
After this I copied CM9 nightly and the google apps package to the internal memory...apperantely the zip package of the google apps was bad, so i tried to boot into CM9..it took a damn long time, so I removed the battery (OK, bad move...but so be it don't bit*h about it!)..CM9 booted but said someting about "encryption of the storage failed..please do a factory wipe"......I did so, using CWM recovery...which ended me up in a boot loop without having access to CMW recvry.
So I thought, flashing the zImage again with heimdall will have the bootloader rewritten (maybe the 2nd bad move this day) so I can access recovery again...I imagined zImage was kinda like a BIOS of a PC...apparently it is NOT
After some google-f00 I found out I have to flash an official FW from samsung, with repartitioning, using odin, am I right?
But the probel is, that they tell me to do a *#7465625# to find out details about the stock firmware...but this is not bossible because the phone hangs at the galaxy s boot logo.
So my question is...what can I do to access either recovery or the stock firmware with a phone stuck at boot logo (i can boot into download mode) and having only a nandroid backup of the stock rom?
Can anybody tell me what to do without spending 200 coins to obtain another SGS for my friend (Yeah, I told him that the risk is to brick the SGS, but I have a kind of guilty conscience.
Hope someone can help...
Thanks a lot!
Odin doesnt care about whats currently on your phone . Just go to samfirmware. Com, find a nice stock rom (2.3.3) for i9000, and flash it with odin. If you dont know how to use odin: use the search button in the i9000 section ''how to use odin''. keep us updated / or if you have any other questions

hey
when i screwed my sgs, odin + darky ressurection rom helped
i can't post a link , google "Darkys_v9.2_Resurrection_Edition.zip" ,though i can't remember if i used that version. some got removed, try to look for a sourceforge link. That still works
and see the reply above how to use odin
Hey,
There are also lots of tutorials on youtube, and other sites to show how to flash an original rom. I also screwed up my install of CM9. And then I followed this guide to get the original rom running again.
w w w.theandroidsoul.com/download-install-xxjvs-firmware-update-galaxy-s-i9000-to-android-2-3-5/
After that, use this link for rooting + CWM:

Greets from Holland !
PS: can't link -_- so you have to copy and paste the URL.

hmmm... i read from another site there are some custom rom that requires the phone to be in a rooted stock rom or another custom rom...
example:
to install Galaxy S GT I9000 with Orange Amestris v7.3 ROM Custom Firmware you need to be on stock XWJW1 or XXJVU Firmware since the baseband of "amestris" would be on xwjw1 or xxjvu or custom rom with the same baseband...
what stock rom/firmware the phone was in anyway?im guessing gingerbread stock rom? you still got a chance to update it right since you can access download mode...
from what i can remember, i updated my boyfrnd's s2 from gingerbread to official ics from "sammobile".com (remove quote)
then updated it to a custom rom...
well this might be irrelevant but this is how i updated my galaxy s:
well on my galaxy s i updated it from gingerbread stock rom rooted to gingerbread miui then to ics miui andy's version, since im on ics i have successfully tried different ics custom rom like darknight, slimics, elite etc...
hope this kinda help =]
Thanks a lot...I flashed the original firmware (it didn't start properly, but I don't care) and with this was able to flash the zImage again...then I was able to access bootloader and reinstall CM9
Hello!
I give up! I just can't find a stock KDZ flash file for my P990 Every download link is down.
I am going to use this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
to flash a stock ROM and then update to ICS with the new bootloader.
Every ROM i try has problems with the Kowalski kernel. The phone is just sluggish! So a complete refresh i needed as there are several other issues too.
Can somebody provide me with one? It has to be European Open or danish, right?
Current ROM is the old Topogigi Froyo ROM. But even with that i have trouble.
Hejsa. Det nemt.
Download the attached file, extract it and open the program. Write P990 as model and write down your IMEI without any -
It will download the official ICS for your phone automatically. Then use the AIO Toolkit. Extract it with the tool and then flash with Smartflash - that's the easiest way.
Held og lykke kammerat.
Hello every one
I have been almost all the weekend workin on a LG970 with a stock rom 4.0.4 baseband 30b.
Cound'nt even make the root, can some one help?
First problem can't enter in the recovery mode, I try all that is to try, (youtube viedos, step by step, adb command) and nothing.
At a certain point I had a boot error (security error), after discharge 333mb off a KDZ firmware V30B_00_EU.kdz I converted to fls and bin and finaly I achieve to flash the device with the smartflash. This was the only way I could do something on the device.
So my question is, the same way I do to install the KZD file, is it possible to install other rooms ?
Thanks
You have to unlock the bootloader in v30b before you flash any recovery.
