Hi, has anyone found a good email notification widget? I just want it to display the number of unread emails on my homescreen. I'm using LauncherPro, so can't use the standard HTC one. My email accounts are not gmail.
Cheers

Try pure messenger, displays sms and emails in a widget and had built in notifications.
Hope this helps. If you need a link to it let me know and ill post one on twitter.
Hello,
I have a question that seems so terribly obvious that I am doubting my mental capabilities; I cannot find the answer!
Is there a widget that will open an email (gmail/IMAP... I don't care) adressed to a prefixed adress?
So that when I press it, an email is created in which the recipient is already entered?
So that I only have to enter subject (and maybe body)?
For whom it may concern: I want to be able to send emails to my RTM-account for adding tasks.
Thanx for any (polite) answers and apologies for asking for something that probably is blindingly obvious.....
**shame**
Greetings, Henro
Gmail unread Count
There is an app in the market (free) called gmail unread count. It is a widget that will only open the gmail address you designate it to open. I use it on my homescreen for multiple account and it works flawlessly. It only works for Gmail.

@eatmydave: not exactly what I meant.
What I mean is a widget that will open a new email-message adressed to a fixed person, for example my gf or my boss or my private RTM-mail address

I use Contacts GroupU for shortcuts to group sms and e-mail. It take one action more than one click. But still quick.
An other option us to make a favorite with e-mail as standard. I think that does the trick for you.

If I understand correctly, You want to tap widget on the home screen to compile e-mail to a certain address ?
I use "make shortcut" in 2.1 sense roms, I create shortcut to a person, with designated e-mail. and once I tap, I need to input topic and body.
Isn't that enough for You ?

Hey guys,
For some reasons I can't figure out how to reset the default app to open an attachment in Gmail. The way to do this either changed in Jelly beans or in the new Sense :S
More specifically calendar invitations open through the calendar in the *browser* instead of the calendar app. I probably selected the wrong option the first time it asked...
How do I reset that?
Cheers

Answering my own question. The only way to do this seem to be resetting *all* app default preferences.
As it happens this was not my issue. The real issue is that the new Sense calendar does not accept google calendar invitations. So even if you select that as the action when you click on the gmail calendar email, it goes to the google calendar on the web.
I don't like that. The Sense calendar on the Sensation did not do that. It accepted the invitation in app.
Quick solution was to download the stock calendar. Happier this way...

That may be Gogole's fault, not HTC's. Google have closed off exchange syncing which may be what HTC were using. It's caused me problems in Windows 8, wouldn't allow mail to open from Gmail unless I deselected calendar and contact syncing when adding my Gmail account;
one of the frustrating things about Sense 5 is that the the productivity lock screen doesn't have a Gmail option.
obviously there is a Gmail lock screen widget in Android 4.2, but i can't use that because of Sense.
. . .any workarounds? (other than setting up the Mail app with my Gmail account)
Move the Gmail icon to your dock?
that would allow quick access to the Gmail app - but is there any way to get a preview of a new Gmail on the lock screen?
The productivity lock screen baffles me..Sometimes it doesn't even show text messages..it kind of does what ever it wants..But if you want emails to show up there you can use the HTC mail app and link it to your gmail..Unless you are gunho on using the official gmail app.

fair enough. thanks for the response!
Yeah, you have to use the official HTC mail app, which I actually prefer. I have all 4 of my email accounts (3 are gmail) linked to it instead of the official app. The folder functionality and color coding between the accounts just makes more sense to me personally.
