Bell Atrix running OLYEM U4 1.4.2.
CONFIRMED: HSUPA enabled.
Anyone notice this when flashing this on their bell phones?!
Super impressed with the upload speed
This is definately a step up from regular 0.3 upload speed. Got me 1.2mbps++!
The only bummer is that I'm on Fido so i have this huge crappy text on my bar,
"CAN Rogers Wireless"
Can't wait for root.
Update: PICS - not the best signal but deff upload unlocked baby

My atrix default language is "Korean"
So korean appeared. Please refer "HSPA" character.
I envy your wonderful upload speed.
I lived in korea and our service provider SKTelecom support HSPA.
but they limit max upload speed to 0.5Mbps....
My S/w version is
"OLSKT_U4.1.14.0" (Korea SKTelcom localizing S/W)
Yeah, download speed is not bad, but upload speed is poor...
but, this is not a atrix problem, our carrier speed limit problem..
Edit: oh, this Is the telstra, nice to know, that's a reason to upgrade but I'll wait for root

I didn't know which threat to post this in.
Flashed the SBF to Bell Atrix on the Bell network.
Previously, the dl/ul speeds were both pretty brutal, and I was sure Bell was to blame as I just ported from Fido. Anyway, here are the results
I'm heading into work, so I will try rooting when I get there. Maybe some other results as well.
Edit : Before flashing, my speeds were hovering around 2000-3000kbps down, and 500kbps up.

Hey guys,
Found the problem you are having. Look in titanium backup and see if you have Verizon Signon Services 1.something in there. You need that. Flash the most recent radio and ROM and it should be bundled with it (it is with BAMF 1.5 at least). I am sure there are alternate ways of getting this on your phone though.
Looking at my titanium backup, it's called: "Verizon Single Sign-On Engine 1.0.13"
You need that for the NFL app to work and be able to verify the needed info and such

I don't have the Verizon Signon Services 1, well, at least I couldn't find it...Where did you see that? Also, maybe it is because I don't have the most recent radio? I doubt it though. I don't want to flash it because I've read people are having trouble with reboots and poor battery life. Was going to wait till another one leaks. But that might be the reason...

Hey you definitely need the Verizon Single Sign-On Engine for the NFL app to work at least, not sure if the version matters, but that is definitely a must.
As far as I can tell I came from BAMF 1.3* and I de-sensed it and it wasn't included then, I ran into the same issue as you, upgraded to 1.5 and flashed the new radio and noticed it in my listings.
Here is a screenshot of my titanium backup app list with the Verizon Sign-On Engine showing:

Any change in speeds or voice quality?
Also, do you have any themes? I may flash this but I'm travelling to the US and don't want to kill my daily driver before I hit the road. Also the Stanley Cup finals are tonight and I don't want to be spending the evening flashing SBFs and resetting apps and settings.
Thanks!
no themes right now (didn't have them before as I was having problems.)
Internet speeds are no different (same inconsistent speeds I always have while at work)
Quadrant gave me 2369 with airplane mode on (compared to 2100 my last test on the french rom *note that test was done a couple of days randomly) voice quality seems fine, didn't have problems before though.
This is probably a long shot since it's so early.
I've used AT&T / Rogers / Telus Notes on Wind and never get a download speed above 0.5mbps. It's unusable.
Was hoping TMobile's version would help
Is it just a software modem change? or are there actually hardware differences in the T879?
Thanks.

I am going to get my t-mobile galaxy note in a few days so I can report back how it works with Wind in Canada.
I've tried both. Wind is faster but only slightly. Both hit like 3 Mbps down and 1 up under perfect conditions, which is never. However we pay $25 for unlimited everything. Hard to complain. I find The VK1_test and jeet92's modems work best in burnaby and vancouver.

That is quite impressive actually.
Can I get more details? So you're running the stock T879 rom? and T879 modem?
Not the AT&T modem? Anything custom? If so, can you try with a custom AT&T rom and T879 modem?
Finally, have you tried putting back a bell/rogers sim card to see what speeds you can still get on their network?
Thanks in advanced

T-879 with Wind
I am using the T-879 from T-Mobile with Wind for almost a week know , this one replacing t-mobile Galaxy SII T-989.
Phone came with ICS 4.0.4 and baseband T879UVLG3.
The reception is much better than SII on Wind. Download speed is somewhere around 7 mbps down and 1.5 ~ 2 mbps up , again doing better than SII
I switched to Mibilicity from Wind, phone and modem same as user Alicklee, I am going to try it and see. So far, at home, not much of a diff except that voice quality is better. haven't tested data speeds yet. My Wind at work was really bad, actually zero reception so will see monday, a colleague is on Mobi and has 2-3 bars.
Waiting for newer/better modem than the one from post #2 of the OP.

Okay, even if the T-Mobile variant is unlocked, most people will have a locked bootloader on their S4. Sprint's still the minority.

Hopefully the AT&T/Verizon variants will be as easy to unlock as the S3 was on Verizon. It didn't seem to take too long for the S3/Note 2 to have their bootloader unlocked.
S4 on Sprint so far.
Hey there... about Sprint:
Was pretty happy with picking up my S4 from Sprint.
Went to check it out on the second day of sales. They said, "Oh, we just sold the last one a couple hours ago."
I was all like, "Oh crap, and I wasn't going to come at all because I thought they would be sold out."
The guy said, "We will have more tomorrow"
So I came back the next day and got one!

This is what is confusing to me. If it is 100% up to the carriers (like everyone keeps saying) on whether a device is locked or not than how come they lock one device and not the other? Things that make you go Hmmmm.

Sprint first to the party is not surprising. Though the One Max being the first is a bit different.

Yeah, that caught me off guard. People in the One max section are confirming the update. I'm hoping we'll see an update soon.

I keep an eye out here: http://support.sprint.com/support/a...e:FindAndUpdateTheSoftwareVersionOnYourHtcOne
Every update so far has been posted there before it is released.
Case in point One max: http://support.sprint.com/support/a...indAndUpdateTheSoftwareVersionOnYourHtcOneMax
Telus got their update today. Hope Sprint's coming up next. I'm getting impatient.

Well damn another curve ball. I figured sprint would have it out before Canada.

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering what's going on. I'd hate to see Verizon get it before us, haha.

Yeah, that'd be pretty harsh. Could you imagine though? It gives me the chills.

It's as unbelievable as them offering the GPE of the M8....
I'm also slightly surprised our "insider" Tommy Jones hasn't heard anything.

I've tried asking llabtoofer if he knows anything about the Sprint M7, both when he announced for the One max and the One for Telus, and I haven't gotten a reply. I even went as far as asking Jason MacKenzie, thinking he'd say something like "before the end of the month," but haven't gotten any replies back.
Rogers and bell just received the official sense 6 update, hopefully Sprint will be next.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Canada get 4.4.2 before we did? And then Sprint got it a few days later. If they are following the same trend, we should be next......hopefully

I could have sworn we got it about a week before them but I could be wrong. Either way I'm sure its on the way for us.
The One max for Sprint got it at 10am EST. I'll be checking my phone every day between 10am and noon EST to see if we got it, lol.
sense 6 update on the HTC One Max first before the HTC One? what's the reasoning behind that? :silly:
wonder if we will get the motion gesture features too? that would be sweet

@LlabTooFeR says no... I don't think we have the hardware for it.
