could you use super one click to root the galaxy tab?
Yes if you check the root guide for galaxy tab it should show you how to root with super one click

Yup. In fact, z4root didn't work on my tab, and caused it to lag like hell. It was a flawless method when I rooted with using the oneclick.

Were you able to root your Tab? I downloaded applanet.net and got z4root from there. I clicked on the Permanet Root and it forecloses. Is there another way to root the tab?

Just did this a couple of minutes ago and it worked! Now to install OCLF. Thanks.
Rogers finally released 2.2? Hmph. No matter, I'm enjoying darky's 8.0 extensively on mine. Eclair took the z4root easy enough.

Hi guys, I'm totally new to the Galaxy Tab as well as the Android world. I just bought a used Verizon Galaxy Tab and it has the EC02 firmware on there. Is it possible for me to root this Tab?
I searched and did not come up with a definitive answer, so if you have done it PLEASE let me know. Thanks!
Try the z4root app, that's how I did it and it worked perfectly. As to where you can get it, Google always helps (;

Z4root did not work for me. SuperOneClick 1.9.5 worked like a charm.
super one click works for ec02. z4root works for dj11.
for super one click, you need the proper drivers. the usb doesn't always install the right drivers, so google for sch-i800 drivers.
I tried z4root before, and it did not work. I will have to try superoneclick.
Superoneclick worked for me as well. For the vzw tab you can install the drivers from the cdfs partition.
What drivers are you talking about? USB?

You will have to flash your stock rom. It's available here on xda. I recommend using a windows 7 pc and a program called odin3 1.7. Don't worry too much, there's lots of insructions. Read everything twice.
when rooting my lg thrill with superoneclick i can not seem to get past where it says looking for shellroot step #7 waiting for device this happens after it reboots. when using megatron it quckily goes through everything but does not do anything Please Help any help would be apreeciated
If you're on gingerbread. Search for Megatron root in this forum. Otherwise ICS is out and is easily rooted.

Didn't mean to thank you. If you are on gingerbread then use Odin to flash a rooted kernel. Use chain fire's or overcome. Not sure if the links in the forum is still good but a Google search will help.
