Anyone get this yet if so how does it run?

I just installed it and it works fine on my g-tab I'm running tnt lite 4.4.0. Its awesome.

Just downloaded and it runs really well, just upside down though. I have to high the tablet upside down to run it which is an issue because my palms keep hitting the search, home, menu, back keys.

I just tried it on Vegan Gingerbread, it also has the upside down issue. The game itself runs excellent though, awesome game.
same as above posts, upside down, have to avoid the buttons. Also, since you have to hold it funny, I found no comfortable way to keep a finger on the movement pad. I tried my thumb, kept hitting buttons, tried index finger on left hand, but it gets tiresome...index finger on right hand, forearm covered a portion of the screen.
would be perfect if oriented correctly, otherwise, gameplay, speed, size are all correct and great.
I couldn't get it to show up on Vegan 5.11 without having to edit my build.prop
ro.product.device=harmony
changed to
ro.product.device=olympus
I also changed:
ro.build.tags=test-keys
to
ro.build.tags=release-keys
After doing the market fix now I see it, haven't bought it yet though, so cant say how it works on Vegan 5 but figured someone else might also have issues seeing it and would want info on how to get it to show up.
Talked with the dev and he says that he would try to fix the upside down issue in the next update.

Hey guys! We are about to release an application for tablets and phones that will allow you to put the device into standby just by closing the case.
A closed beta is available to select XDA members, and we would like to test more on people's XOOMs.
You can find the app thread HERE.
i'll beta test it.
What kind of Case must you use for the Xoom, the portfolio one Moto puts out?
Count me in for this one.

I'm in as well. Sounds fantastic

sure I'll test it

I noticed a little bug. As I move back and forth at my desk. The program tries to close my screen. Is there a way to uninstall this?

Guys, developer already wrote that they took 10 (!) testers and others just missed the train, so we shall wait for an open beta test if there will be any (doubt it will)
I got in on the test. I have noticed one problem. If someone stands over you or there is a shadow killswitch will start to engage. It maybe a setting just need to play w/ it more.
Hey everyone, and thanks to all the beta testers! Just an FIY, the app is now out, you can find its thread in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988126
It has now been tested thorougly on my own Xoom and is working fine! To avoid accidental activations, read the Help and Tips section carefully and set a higher activation delay time.
I have it at 8 seconds and rarely have any issues...
Great, works fine on all my devices
Eer, this expired a month ago!
Hi ... I just purchased this and figured I would be able to spoof a cover by simply covering the sensor (at the opposite location to the camera) with my finger briefly but this doesn't seem to do the trick, but if I cover the front with a pad then it does go off. Is there another sensor I am not seeing?
I also expected it to auto wake when uncovered? If I enable unlock on screen then the volume keys at least seem to wake it up which is a bonus I guess
Sent from my MZ604 using XDA Premium App
The light sensor is quite hard to spot. Its 2.5 cm to the left of the front facing camera.
The autounlock feature is supposed to work like that. Please, read the help file!
Great ... that makes it easier to test ... but I can't get it to wake. It seems the volume key is not even waking it now either.

This functionality is broken by tegra drivers on honeycomb - but works on all other devices...
OK... so are you working to get around this? Or will 3.1 fix it? Or is the function just broken forever? Without it the app is nowhere near as useful :-(

you live and learn ... at any rate you live
Weve been busy prepping for the release of RCB and i havent had time to tinker with killswitch for a few weeks!
I have thought about it though, and there is a workaround. Trouble is, it would mean the tablet wouldnt really sleep.
However... there is a hack i have been using myself, but it would mean root and some nasty errors on many devices.
Atm you can already do something similar yourself using a key remapper. Search the forums for a compatible one.
I promise though i will add some root functions to killswitch.
It took 3 years but its finally here. Grab it now!

The description says:
Requires a phone running OS 2.2 or above, and is not compatible with tablets
Is it running on the Xoom?
Dude you know XDA'ers don't follow instructions. I downloaded it anyway to secure the download and it works! Looks great and no lag.

Yea, I found it a bit funny bc the description says its not compatible with tablets, yet Amazon website has a green compatible check mark next to the Xoom. Sow sadly it does start on a black screen on the xoom like its not going to work but if u keep taping the screen and tring to move stuff to the screen it will work.
I just loaded the app and it started. What kernel are you using? Are you on OC GPU? I don't like that OC stuff so I'm stock. I'm up to level 40 and it hasn't sputtered or crashed (knock on morning wood).

I actually am using stock and am not rooted. I was thinking about flashing for sdcard support but I think Im gonna wait and see what 3.2 brings.
The game is awesome I used to play it back in my iOS days.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
It seems to work for me.. the 'not for tablets' is probably because it isn't optimized as well as you have to scroll the screen a little bit up/down to see the top are of the screen for putting towers etc and down to put them on the lowest part of the playing field. Otherwise.. seems to work great for me.
I get an Unauthorized Request error when I start it up. I click OK and it closes .

I'm in the same boat as you, and it sadly isn't working. I got SOO excited when it came out too!
Anyone have a work around? It begins to play the game fine. I select the level and difficulty, it shows me where all of the buttons are, and then the map turns black. The game continues on, and I can use the in-game controls, but can't see anything. Guess I'm just beat

I'm using a custom kernel. Try going to the dev section and looking in the Notubuntu thread. Flash that kernel and try it. Maybe its kernel related. Mines works fine everytime. I'm on wave 70 and no hiccups.
By the way I'm not overclocked or anything. I'm using the stock honeycomb also. If you guys are using a different ROM it could be an issue.

Custom ROM/kernel from tiamat team and TDR team running on my Xoom, and i have no issue with all apps/games that support for HC.
Fieldrunners works file on my Xoom, when you see black screen, that pinch to zoom, then ....play!

For me the trick is to do a two finger re-size on the black background, this causes the play field to be redrawn and works great.
Anyone have this issue? See the small text?
Man this game is harder than it looks. How the hell do I stop the helicopters from getting past? I feel like I'm upgrading the early buildings and its killing me!
I noticed that when my game ended and my name was on my high score list. I could not read the list. Either the text was microscopic or was not working correctly.

I have the issues too. I beat the game on easy and medium. Save up for lightning towers and upgrade them to the Max. Also place the goo towers spread apart to slow them down.

Early on drop a middle launcher along the aircraft flight path, then lightning generators later in the round.
I have the same "small text" issue with the high scores screen - this is probably the reason this game isn't "approved" for tablets.

I don't know about how everyone else feels, but I cannot use the swiping feature of Swype on the Aria. It's just too small for me to see what letter I'm covering up with my finger.
Also - when I use my left hand to "swype" and need to enter letters normally my right hand types, I slow down considerably.
In short - for me, Swype fails because of the way I typically type.
I can see this working better for larger screen devices or for people who have always used just one hand to type. But I find swyping very slow.
Just wondering how you all get around it (maybe use in landscape mode?)...
I have a Legend, (very, very, very similar in specs to the Aria), and I find Swyping in portrait works like a charm. Sure, it's a bit slow, but what can a little overclock not fix ;-)
I also find that Swyping in landscape is very inaccurate for me, probably because the prediction engines are adjusted for landscape use.
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
I have gotten so used to swype that's all I can use now. Get the "real" swype's from their website, not the fake pirated ones.
I have seen people swype in landscape and that just seems odd to me. swype was made to be fast turning you phone over every time to type is not fast, and I know a guy that has an htc evo and swypes in landscape? the keys are in different spots in landscape, so if your used to portrait you will have a hard time swpying.
So I just downloaded the latest Swype and I have to say its fun, quick, and pretty accurate. I just wish it had more options like getting rid of voice and Swype help button to make the space bar bigger. also it would be cool if you had more customizing options. Other than that its definitely worth trying out.
Swype.....not skype. Duh
I stopped using Swype for smart keyboard pro a few months ago but went ahead and gave the new Swype a try and all I can say is WOW! It has improved so much. Its 100 times more accurate than the previous versions.
To Dan: it takes a little getting used to but after a while it becomes muscle memory with the
letter placement to where you don't need to see the letters your finger is blocking and your finger just knows where to go. Until you can Swype without thinking about where the next letter is it will never be as fast as the two thumb approach. Even then, using two thumbs might still be faster. But for 'one handed' typing you really can't beat Swyping once you're used to it. I also highly recommend the tutorials on their website. Might sound silly but after using the tutorials my Swyping speed improved very noticeably. There's a lot of neat little tricks you might not otherwise ever know existed on the Swype keyboard.

This drives me nuts as my conspiracy theorist mind wants to believe B&N doesn't fix it so we keep nook stock. The issue is that as I fire up the nook app on my emmc or sd card cm7 nook color the links (shop search etc) in the upper edge are not responsive as they should. You have to press them a few times. Its not a hardware problem with edges not being responsive since the same area works fine in different apps and when running stock rom. Any idea?

I have the same issue. I have it there and when I open my magazines, every issue appears in the same stack so I can only download the top one. It kinda sucks but I guess that's what we get for going around our warranty.

Try this:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.assid.android.nookrecalibrate&feature=search_result
Yeah, nook screen re-calibrate worked pretty well for me - I still have problems using the search button in the nook app, but the search button in the market works well now.
I have this same button unresponsiveness in landscape but not in portrait orientation.

Clean screen, lock/unlock, run nook screen recalibrate, get a screen protector. All things that will help.

I've the same issue, didn't know about the nook screen recalibration, I'll give it a try and post my results...
It doesn't work on my Nook. It's still unresponsive on the right corner. If it works for you, that's great !
My nook exhibits the same issues. NSR did not help it.
As I understand it, it's an issue with the app itself, and you can't really do anything about it. Sorry.

Updated just now, and I actually think the upper edge is a bit more responsive, I was able to hit settings, search and shop on the first try this time - it usually took me 3-4 previously. But it could just be a me thing, I'd like to see what others think.
I've run NSR, and have no screen protector.
It's definitely a software issue, but I see it mainly with the Market and Yahoo Mail apps. The problem was very bad with 1.1 and 1.2 rooted (took 10-15 tries to activate a button in the upper right corner); the problem went away when I installed Dalingren's OC kernel on 1.2 rooted, and now it's back with CM 7.1 (not as bad as originally; typically 2-3 tries to activate that upper right button).
Hi everyone
Lucky enough to get my nexus from currys last night before they'd made it properly onto the shop floor loving it so far but for one issue and that is REALLY slow rotation of screen in apps... chrome tapatalk YouTube everything takes forever as if it hasn't realised its been tipped over... a very heavy flick seems to help it along but that's really not good enough and I look a bit mental!
I tested with an accelerometer test app and all axes seem to register through all range of motion and even move v slowly so seems to me hardware fine and software bug? I read a Google post that there was an issue on nexus phones in December... anyone experienced it with the 7
Thanks

I guess it makes me feel better to know that I'm not the one having this problem. I wish instead neither of us were though!

I'm going to to try and flash a stock image tonight in hopes that it isn't the hardware. I also downloaded an app from the market that tests the sensors, and everything appeared fine there. If flashing back to stock doesn't fix it, I guess I'll be forced to do another exchange.....
