[Q] screen crack - Nexus S Accessories

I accidentally dropped my phone and the glass got shattered, everything seems to work fine.
I managed to buy a front glass lens from globaldirectparts.com but i couldn't find any guide on how to replace it.
Can someone direct me to a full guide?
Thanks in advance.

Ifixit will have a guide

I thought the glass on SAMOLED was fused to the display. Is that not correct?
EDIT: From the iFixIt Teardown:
If you shatter the front panel glass, the SAMOLED has to be replaced as well -- they're fused together.

The exception would be if you have the i9023 (with Super Clear LCD)

Front Glass Outer Lens Touch Screen Cover for Samsung Nexus S?

I see them all over the ebay world, and my glass is cracked but my digitizer is fine. My ocd is about to kick in and I want to know how to relpace it and what is this part? Thanks!
As far as I'm aware the LCD screen and glass are fused together so you will have to replace the entire screen.

LG G FLEX - fixing broken screen glass (touch & display working)

Hello guys!
It's my first post on this forum so excuse me for all mistakes that I have made
Some time ago i dropped my LG G Flex from about 0,5m. The screen have "spider webs" so it makes annoying to use it. Luckily the screen and touch layer managed to survive .
I searched web for replacements but i didn't find the glass. I only managed to find a glass with whole display. The cost of whole thing was about 50$-100$. The price of that part was too expensive to make it happen (i bought phone for about 140$).
Soo i have came up with bright idea. I was gonna remove the screen glass like this girl on video (Search YouTube for "HOW TO REPLACE A SMARTPHONE SCREEN!" uploaded by "everythingdiy").
Thing was very easy because LG don't have any physical buttons on front and the whole "frame thing" was attached to bottom layers (With samsung phones the "frame thing" is attached to glass").
After removing broken glass i cleaned everything up with just a tissue.
Next step was the easiest one. I bought online a tempered glass protector and applied it on my screen.
Here you go, everything is working very well !
I have payed for replacing my screen glass about 5$ (+ work with removing old glass)
I think i have helped someone with similar problems.
REMEMBER !! To preform this your display and touch must work !!! You are doing it on your own and i don't take any responsibility if you damage your phone !!!
what tempered glass protector did you buy? please can you send a link
also, when you remove the glass, was it attach to the lcd with glue?

I bought the cheapest one Any tempered glass will do the job.
The glass was attached to the LCD with glue. Make sure to warm up the screen with hair dryer or heat gun
You can try removing that glass at any point. Just google "removing phone screen glass" or something like that.
Remember it's not that easy as it sounds, the display is very fragile.

OP3T Rear Camera Lens Cracked

I somehow cracked my phone's rear camera lens when it dropped out of my pants ^^" The camera still works in perfect condition though? Still, does anyone have an idea how and for how much can I get it replaced? It's only been 15 days since I got my phone ;-;
what case are you using?
The replacement is easy. Just remove the cracked glass and apply the new one. You can use the Samsung Galaxy S7 camera glass also. It's identical and cheaper.

Ohhh thank you for that! Is it wise to replace my saphire lens with a glass one? I think it's only a surface crack. What happens if the whole thing breaks, cuz I want to wait until/if it breaks completely to replace it with the glass one >.<

Can you share a picture of the cracked lens?
What's the difference between the Sapphire and glass ?
Sapphire is way stronger, at least concerning scratches
Sapphire is more resistant to scratches than regular tempered glass.
Hard particulates in everyday dirt are less likely to scratch sapphire than it is glass.
Unfortunately as a trade off, sapphire is more brittle and susceptible to cracking.
It takes less force by pressing on sapphire to crack it compared to glass.
Think of a diamond; while it is harder than most materials, it is relatively easy to shatter by applying a sharp blow it it.

Tempered Glass

I've been looking for tempered glass for months. nothing seems to stick to the curved edge. i dont like the full covered tempered glass. i need a normal transparent tempered glass that can stick to the curved edge. anyone know where i can get it???

Before I cracked my screen just recently :crying: (Still working!) I had a "Nilkin Amazing H+ Pro" bought from aliexpress. It had perfect edges, but it has to be applied perfectly for that. Otherwise there are protectors that come with a gel for filling in the white edges.

Those screen protectors with that liquid gel are not that good. I tried them, and after a few days the liquid just disappears, and you're back to point one. It's probably why they sell the liquid by itself too.

nope. this TP dont has any liquid gel...It's the same as other TP out there. smaller than screen size and has white edges that does not stick to the curved screen. The quality is good tho. Overall. it's actually a good TP but if u're looking for TP that stick to the curved edge, then this TP isnt the right for u.

Yes this is not fitting properly with the edges
Tempered glass not fitted properly
there is no solution for mi note 4 tempered glass
1. gorila glass have air in both side
2. color glass have no adhesive in middle..
The glass from Glazed Inc. is reported to have adhesive in the middle. The edges are shown as somewhat flexible so it can follow the curvature better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahch35v-S8g
But since buying from outside India requires an expensive bank transfer, I can't personally testify how good it actually is.
