OMG!! lmao thats some profit

Wow, i would ask how u get them at that price but i dont think i wanna give away that secret

Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not from the states but aren't all those prices that the guy listed what you pay to get those handsets up-front on a contract?
Seems rather coincidental IMO

I'm in the states and those prices in USD are cheap for devices, they are what you would pay if you had to sign contracts. But i just noticed that he posted VW (verizon wireless?) might be different, i only keep up with gsm.

I traded a Motorola Droid X for a Mytouch 4G and I never looked back.

What happened is...
I got the phones at the price of a 2 year contract ... Without the contract (from an authorized VW dealer)

[Q] Replace PlayBook

I'm shopping for a 7" wifi tab to replace a PlayBook. As an Epic 4G owner (I love this phone) the GT really intrigues me and seems like a natural fit. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't get a Galaxy Tab? What alligators are waiting to bite me on the butt?
Im very particular when it comes to high end tech devices. I did loads of research on tabs and there arent really any successors to the galaxy tab in the 7" range yet. Ive had my tab a little over a week now and its my favorite pmp by far. Only downside is single core processor but shouldnt matter unless youre into the new demanding games. This thing runs super smooth as is. Throw in a overclock and custom rom and i have yet to see it stutter!
Id suggest stalking slickdeals and auction sites. Got mine for 225

Thanks for the reply. I've got a bid in on a refurb Sprint GT, if that falls through, I'll probably wait until Sept and see what the new season brings.
I sold my iPod touch about a year ago and went through the archos 43, cowon d3, pre ordered an 8gb samsung galaxy player, finally canceled that and bought the tab. Playing the waiting game in between all of those really sucked. Good luck

Which phone are you coming from/where do you live

Assuming you, who are reading this already have ordered the Nexus 4, kindly tell us of which phone did you use before?
i should start with me...
me: coning from Note I and Note II. live in Pakistan. tired of exynos and crap-wiz drama and decided to have a simple life
where did you come from?
Started on a Nexus S, switched to a One X a couple of months ago, gonna sell that and get a Nexus 4. I'm tired of HTC's locked down bootloader and slow as all hell kernel updates in the name of "security" and "features" (Sense).
I'm from the US, and I'm upgrading from a 2 year old Virgin Mobile Optimus V. It was my first smartphone and I outgrew it quite awhile ago. This is going to be a massive upgrade for me, and I'm quite excited. No more 600mhz processor and 320x480 screen, and no more 3mp camera
Tapatalk² from my Optimus V
I live in the UK, so LTE is not an issue. And I buy all my phones unlocked anyway, so £239 off contract is amazingly cheap. I'm coming from a Galaxy s II that I bought for around £500 when it was new- CES before last. I had an HTC Desire before that, and loved the true blacks of both these AMOLED screens. So I'm a little sad that the Nexus 4 has and IPS screen, but people are saying it's really good...
Coming from RaZr and from India.
But haven't ordered the phone yet as it isn't available here in India yet...through play store that is...
I am seriously considering selling my One X and getting the N4, lack of LTE is no issue in the UK, hell, we're only just getting DC-HSPA anyway.
Im from Canada coming from a Galaxy SL i9003,almost 2 year old device with 1ghz, 512mb ram and sgx530. (Bought it when it was already a year old for half the price LOL) A decent phone, but lack of official updates left on 2.3.6 really pissed me off. Have a few devs on XDA and they work tirelessly to make this device better which helped me stay longer on the SL . Time to move on now, though :crying:
In the process of selling my SGS3 now before the N4 comes out... im in CT, USA... gonna be running it on AT&T network for now... might jump ship to T-Mobile once my contract is up so i can take advantage of HSPA +42...
Coming from HTC One X (Tegra 3) and I live in Istanbul, Turkey.
In the US, currently on a mega locked down Atrix 2. I can't wait to have this guy.
I'm in the US. Presently have LTE Galaxy Nexus. Dumping Verizon when i get my Nexus 4 and getting T-Mobile's no contract plan. Giving my good old Nexus to my bestie. It'll be his first smartphone.
US here
I've been using a HTC HD2 since June 2010, probably the most awesome smartphone ever made. It had a good life, still working great but it's getting slow with ICS and some modern apps. So I'll go from a snapdragon 1st gen to a S4 Pro That should be interesting.
I don't change phone every 6 months as you can see and I think the N4 has what it takes to last a couple of years, but if Google now commits to release new Nexus phone in that price range (and it looks like it) I could afford to replace it every year.

nice choice man..
Coming from the incredible Galaxy Note 2, I'm in Maryland, USA.
US, coming from a Galaxy Nexus running on T-mobile
U.S and I'm coming from the HTC rezound and Verizon. I'm sick of Verizon's crap all the time and my contact is up in December.

I'm coming from the Galaxy S i9000. I live in Istanbul, Turkey.
From the US using an HTC Sensation
From the US with a Nexus One on Straight Talk (might move to T-Mobile $30).
From Germany moving from the S3 to the Nexus 4. The S3 will be my last non-AOSP phone.

The low price is one of the best features of the N 4

I think a little perspective helps with the new Nexus 4, and this is the amazing low price of $299/$349. Sure it is lacking features like 4G/LTE and 32GB storage, I agree those would be nice.
But what other brand new smartphone can you buy, off contract, not subsidized, for $349 ? None that I know of. Other popular smartphones, going full retail out of contract like the iPhone5...Galaxy S3...Note II...One X+ are all selling for $600 - $700, twice the price of the Nexus 4.
Are these others phones, twice as good as the Nexus 4 ? No way. Sure they do offer 4G and larger storage which is nice, but is it worth paying double that of the N 4 ?
That's why I returned my quad core HTC One X. the Nexus 4 seems more worth it. i'm going to miss the white and the front of my HTC. but going to like the back of the N4
Why not just make this post in this thread ->
Official: Nexus 4 starting at $299 - Nov 13
..or in one of the existing review threads?

after one year does Nexus 6 still worth to buy?

I know the next generation is coming soon tomorrow. I am looking for a phoblet phone that can replace my cellphone. I dont like Galaxy Note series.
I love mine and I am not upgrading anytime soon
I've bought mine a week ago, got it at a very good price, almost half the price of the upcoming 6P, so I didn't hesitate.
The new nexus phones barely have higher specs then the nexus 6. I just got mine yesterday, and its well worth it. The 2016 nexus will be the next phone worth upgrading to when the SD820 cpu is inside it, the 808 really isn't a upgrade to the 805
I bought mine 3 weeks ago. IMO, best unlocked phone you can buy for the price.
I bought it today and i think it is worth. There won't be anything better than this until Snapdragon820 phones come to shelves.
I bought mine last week and am very happy with it coming from a Note 3. I like the Note series but they are locked down tight on VZW.
Have mine for almost a year now and I'm not thinking about upgrading for at least one more year. It's still as smooth as when I got it. You won't regret getting it, the newer phones aren't that much of an upgrade especially when compared price wise. Go for it.
The only difference to me between new nexus phone is camera performance other than that, I see now reason to upgrade.
not sure what the complaint is but the camera works just fine for me. if I am that critical over a picture, then the DSLR comes out...which is almost never.
It's like Fantasy Football
The Nexus 6P is Julio Jones and AJ green, but you are looking for that stat producer on the cheap. Maybe a STeve Smith Sr or Julian Edelman. Getting the job done just fine even if they aren't the new hotness.
My opinion is that the nexus 6 is a great device. The price has came down almost half of the original cost. I paid 650 for the 32gb and see them for under 300 a lot. If willing to pay 300 extra for the fingerprint scanner, beefed up processor, and native led then get the n6p. I'll be sticking with my n6 for another year!

If sprint will sell it for under 400 then heck yea I'll jump on it. I have had a terrible experience on my current phone and want a stock android experience.
I just bought a second one with the new price drop. Got mom on Project Fi and she loves it. She is always at home and bill is only $23 or so a month.
I see not reason to upgrade at this point......may in a year on the next gen phones come out.
Never could use a "standard" size phone again. Love the hugeness.
Wifi sucks now since latest update. Hopefully Google will fix this.
Everything else is good.
riding the moto nexus until next year when the 820 chip-set is standard, I bought my shamu almost a year a go, and couldn't be happier

You know you can grab any North American Nexus 6 and stick it on Sprint & Verizon now, right?
Only exception is the AT&T variant, that one needs to be SIM-unlocked first.
I came from a Note 2 to the Nexus 6 (same as your current if I am correct) and couldn't have been happier.
The 6P is using the 810 vs the 805 in the N6... The known to overheat 810 is NOT the processor anyone would pick if given the choice. Yes, i know the 810 in the 6P is supposed to be the 810 rev2.1 but it only clocks at 2.0 Ghz on the high end. So with the heat issues and it having to be underclocked to keep from becoming a hot plate makes it an absolute NO go for me.
The size difference will feel good because the Note 2 - N6 size difference in the hand is fantasmic because of the screen to body ratio.
Unless you are a HUGE camera person and absolutely NEED a fingerprint reader, with the price of the N6 being ~$300 it will be a buy you WILL NOT regret!!!

What are your choices for upgrading from note 4?

I decided the note 7 wasn't for me. Thankfully. I would have hated to end up with an exploding one (my luck).
So my family all got iPhone 7 plus(es) and now of course I have the itch for a new phone also... With 2 payments left on my note 4 (about $60)...they're worth about $200 so I'll probably just keep my note 4 perhaps as a remote control if nothing else.
Now the question to all of you, what are viable replacements?
The Pixel Xl didn't impress me with the exception of unlimited full res Google photos.
The LG v20 looks nice, but not sure about the IPS lcd screen - no amoled? Really?
I wouldn't consider a s7/edge since it's successor is just a few months out at this point.
What other phones are worth considering? Or why would the LG v20 be a logical choice?
Let the discussion begin.

Go for s7 edge or nexus 6p the best tiĺl now in my opinion.
I'm in the same boat. I really want the Phab 2 Pro, but that processor...... Gimme that phone with the sd820 or better and I'm all smiles. I'll likely end up with one of the funky Chinese phones if the LTE bands match up. They're actually putting together decent stuff at a decent price. Or, the v20 if the pre-order extras are good
There is NO upgrade for the Note4. If it doesn't have Amoled, SPen, removable batery / Micro SD, and touchwiz, then I don't consider it an option. I most likely keep my Note4 until it dies.

$200 for a phone on contract? That's a good deal. We don't get those affordable rates here in Jamaica. If so be the case, I'd have paid the $200 upfront and be done with it.
No not on contract... The current price of the note 4 on ebay is anywhere from $175 to $250 (usd) that's complete... On contract when I got this phone is 2014 it was like $750? I think.... I've been paying $32 a month for it for 22 months... I've 2 got payments left.
Looked on ebay earlier and saw one seller had some for $148 unlocked (again, on ebay)
I've been looking at the LG v20 reviews and stuff on YouTube. And I'm not sure I could call it a good enough upgrade for $800 usd!
It's a cool phone, but.... Yeah is sd820, and yeah it's HD audio, and yeah the extra little screen is all cool but just about everything it does the note 4 does too.... 4k video, 16mp camera (note 4), qhd amoled note 4 not ips lcd on the v20. The reviews are good but I dunno.
I guess I'll wait and see what 2017 brings to the table.
I am with you, on my last payments as well and have the itch beyond the itch, but really nothing out there. The wife has the S7 Edge and all she does is complain about it, but it is not rooted, debloated, etc...It might be the next one for me, or like you hang on till 2017 models start coming out. Honestly, think Samsung will figure things out so a Note 8 does not scare me, but must be packed to gills with tech and the latest and greatest processor.
I'm itching for the v20. But I have this feeling the next Samsung 2017 phone is going to be amazing.
