Quickoffice

I see that quickoffice is installed but there is no app icon for it. If I open an office attachment it comes up but what if I want to start one or open existing doc saved on the xoom. On that note there is also no built in file explorer that I can find...

The quickoffice that is installed is just a reader there is a paid version in the market which lets u make new docs and if u need a file explorer I use astro it works flawlessly.

Any updates ... I noticed the same thing when opening my dropbox files ... is it functional with dropbox? ... I would like to get this app if it is working like its intended too

As an alternative you could just purchase a copy of Documents to Go. It works quite well on the xoom and in my experience is faster than quick office.
Keep in mind that the full version of Quick office is a commercial product and the distribution of the APK is wares. If you want quick office for android you can purchase it at their site:

Because you are offering to distribute software to people without the autorization to do so.
Just because it came with your phone, doesn't give you the right to distribute it to others.

DocumentsToGo is buggy on Honeycomb. Try editing a spreadsheet and you'll see it just doesn't work...the edits appear in random cells. I'm using the full paid version.

I have the full paid version too but my Xoom is still on its way (hopefully!). The main reason to buy this was to have good office software in the future. I used DtG on my Nook Color but so far I am far from impressed but I was hoping it's only b/c it was never intended to run on that device. If it's still not good on the Xoom I will be very sad. However, I thought I read in a different thread that DtG is planning a major update soon. Hopefully that will fully support a "real" tablet!

Even if it is the version on the xoom you are offering, which I highly doubt, you are not authorized to redistribute it. If you are offering the full version, which is what people are asking for, then it is definitely warez. So which are you guilty of, poor reading comprehension or sophistry.

[Q] Sprint App on Captivate?

Is there a way to get the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile app on our AT&T Captivates?

That's a real sport? Jk man idk about the sprint app but goto the market and search Watch live sports. It's a few bucks but well worth it and has every type of sporting event u could imagine.

You can download it from a torrent site and install it. No guarantees it will work. But just a thought.

I know this whole at&t-t-mobile merger is old news, but every at&t hater seemed to crawl out from the darkest corners to voice their opinion of at&t and now so many were going to switch off because they didn't want to belong to at&ts customer base.
It's worth remembering that other companies are hated worse... Like facebook apparently.

You could just change the hosts file on her / your PC so it blocks Facebook completely.
Same with her phone if its rooted/jailbroken/WP7Hacked.

But she will know something is fishy. Phone is not a problem (she has Nokia). Only 2 laptops and a PC. Internet through wifi SMC router. (I have access to it). Let the mission begin.

Lol I had a buddy who led his entire facebook life through texting. he would borrow one of our interwebs (he had a laptop, and would visit) whenever he wanted to specifically see something, but yeah. Phone does matter XD.
Also, my thread may have promoted questionably legal activities. Awesome XD

I found netlimiter but it limits bandwidth to application not perticular site will search more..

ghost town app

I don't know if anyone else uses the ghost town app to stream music, but I figure i'll ask here none the less.
is anyone else having issues with ghost town? I can't seem to ever find any results and it's no longer listed in the android market. I don't know if it's just a canada thing though. anyone else notice this?

Was the greatest app ever! It's gone.
