[Q] Nook Color on eBay

Hi,
I'm new to NC and wanted to get a refurbished NC from BN. The one listed on eBay looks white but on BN website it looks grey to me.
Wonder if it is the latest version or if any that can be rooted for installing android 2.2 apps?

Update: I've figured that the one on eBay is not color. Sorry for the post.

NookColor *IS* gray.
Older nook, e-Ink not LCD is white.
There are no white NookColor readers.

where to get nook color

I'm starting to give up trying to get the nook to me in germany.
i ordered the nook at b&n on the 20. jan. now it was going to be delayed by two weeks and off course i canceled it.
at bestbuy its backordered, at wallmart its out of stock, at amazon i cant pay with paypal.
can i order it somewhere else? and do i have to pay sales taxes at ebay?
im from germany,
ive got paypal,
and about 290€ all in all,
shipping to germany is about 40-50€*
and customs about 45€.
so all in all i have about 210€~275-279$ for the nook with tax and shipping in the us.

It hasn't arrived yet, according to usps it is still in Belgian customs so I don't know how much more customs will be.
Maybe this is an option for you?

ive got a cover at borderlinx, so i will ship the nook with it if i get it in the us. im going to try to order one at ebay, i hope i mustnt pay tax. but i should get that negotiated with the seller. because im from germany;
i just asked a seller if i have to pay taxes and i also saw a nook color that is getting sold via ebay in germany, but its already at 223€ with 10 bids and it will end on thursday, , going to get to expensive i think.

Cerified Pre-owned nook color?

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone got their Nook Color as a certified pre-owned model from the B&N website, and if there were any issues.

[UPDATE]Nook Colors disappeared from Local Walmarts

I went to my local Walmart today and noticed something when I passed the electronics section all the Nook Colors were gone. Now I was at this same Walmart a few days ago and there were plenty in the case. I used Walmart.com to check in-store availability of the Nook Color and almost every Walmart on the list showed Limited Stock or Out of Stock statuses. Either someone went around buying up all the Nook Colors or Walmart its clearing their stock in anticipation of a new product possibly from B&N. I don't know about you but I'm more inclined to think it's the latter. Though I could be completely wrong and they just decided to stop selling Nook Colors.
PS: Walmart.com is now selling refurbished Nook Colors for $150.00, definitely an unbeatable price for a good tablet.

I got my Color Nook off of Ebay. It was a refurbished Nook sold directly by B&N. It cost $149 plus shipping.

My local Walmart has about 50+ Nook Colors stacked up, all for $249 still

The ones sold by B&N on eBay have free shipping. There is a credible third-party also selling them for you're price though.
