How to repack and flash IS kernel boot image? - HTC Incredible S

I'm sorry for the multiple post in IS General forum, i can't move it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054347
I've compile a new kernel zImage, but I can't flash it directly to IS in fastboot mode (ship S-OFF, not ENG S-OFF -_-#)
So how can I make a new boot.img file (seems HTC add 256 bytes signature before the common boot.img file), and flash it to IS ?
Thanks ^_^

This can help you: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Howto:_Build_a_Kernel_Port

It's not for Incredible S, and the repack script can't generate signature for boot.img file, still thanks ^_^

I think i read your post regarding the same yesterday.
you did not that you have a custom recovery installed...
in this case you will not be able to flash the ruu as you are required to be stock with s-on
head over to arhd thread to get the closest experience to the stock rom.
download the arhd rom, flash in recovery

But I remember that I've did this before and reinstalled a stock ROM using RUU exe file, can't I do this now?
Does WWE ROM have Arabic language?
I am very depressed because of this problem, I want to have official HTC ICS ROM.

In order to install the ICS OTA after it has been downloaded, you will need to restore the stock HTC recovery and then relock your bootloader.

thanks tpbklake, i could relock the bootloader but I don't know how to have the HTC Recovery back instead of the current one, any guide to do this?
am quoting tpbklake here, listen to him, he's the best around here
Grab a RUU and extract the recovery.img file from the ROM.zip. Then flash the recovery image in FASTBOOT USB mode using
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Did you already relock the bootloader? You need to flash the stock recovery first, then relock the bootloader.
Did you extract the recovery.img file from the PG32IMG.zip file or are you just trying to have the bootloader flash the PG32IMG.zip?
The signature checking failure leads me to believe that the bootloader is locked/relocked.

How did you end up flashing the recovery? Did you use the PG32IMG.zip and copy it to your sd card or did you extract the recovery.img file and manually flash it?
If you used the PG32IMG.zip file then that probably changed the mainver value and that's why the OTA is not running.
Well guess what, my device is now crashed !, it is stock at the green HTC logo, I can not access anything except for the bootloader !.
i've installed the Android Revolution HD but it didn't work as well, my device is now in mess.

You never did answer my question about how you flashed the HTC stock recovery.
Anyway, If you unlocked your bootloader and reinstalled a custom Recovery and then attempted to install ARHD, did you manually extract and flash the boot.img file in FASTBOOT USB mode?
That may be all you need to do to get the phone booted.

If you make S-OFF there is no need the flash the boot.img from recovery, you just need to flash the zip again.

boot.img is the kernel, not the system.
have you tried the fastboot flash command with a valid boot.img (not revcovery)?
or if you were trying to flash recovery and not boot.img have you tried again using the right command?
sounds like it should be easier to fix than go back to stock with ruu....
Surely flashing a Rom in recovery would fix that?

im s-on so im not sure if that's gonna make any difference
and my biggest problem is the signature verification (in recovery and boot-loader )
You cab disable signature verification in cwm. And as you are s on you can only flash newer versions or RUU not old ones. Flashing a Rom any Rom would flash the boot image and should be all good
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
i tried both methods
cwm signature is disabled but still cant flash
i tried the 4.4.2 ruu but the same problem even when im using bootloader

rom.zip is encrypted you can't extract from it
find your stock recovery here >> http://d-h.st/users/guich/?fld_id=29380#files
If it's not their you'll need a decrypted RUU to extract the boot.img

The ruu is probably encrypted, so you can't open it. Find someone with the same firmware and ask them to make a backup of their boot partition, you can then flash the boot image backup in fastboot.

@bunny0007 is this pre-rooted, or stock ?
All the bootloader files are in the ota file.
Yes this is stock system partition with root.

So then this point is moot then?
"...Since the 5.0.2 update contains new bootloader and stuff, you might have to flash those if neccesary...." it happens automatically when you do the single system flash?

Im not sure if the new bootloader an stuff are required for this update, but the ota are not a new rom, just patched files, no new boot image or recovery image.

The only way to flash the ota file are from stock non rooted 5.0.1 via sideload from recovery.
You might fastboot flash stock 5.0.1 system, boot and recovery, then you shuld be able to flash the ota from recovery.

I just caught that, too. sb11 should read "sbl1" (SBL1) in the commands list when flashing the "bootloader stuff", otherwise you'll get an error that sb11 partition does not exist.

When I go to the devHost to download this system, I hit the "download" button and it takes me to spam where it asks me to download a 1-MB file that is called system-rooted.img.zip.exe.
Is the link bad, or am I just being a noob? I'm expecting a 256 MB img file with the stock 5.02 system rooted, not a 1 MB executable file with a deceptive name.
Any assistance appreciated.
Cheers,

Boot into fastboot, then make sure you can use fastboot from windows in cmd shell.
Then use this to flash
1. Unzip and flash bootloader stuff with cmd file.
2. Flash system with "fastboot flash system filename.img"
3. Flash boot with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
4. Flash Stock 5.0.2 recovery with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
5. Reboot the watch

Yep here http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch-r/development/rom-stock-rooted-5-1-1-t3124921
How do you come around to get the watch listed in adb (adb devices command). I installed several drivers for my lg g watch r, tried both in win10 test and non test mode, but the watch is not recognized. DEvice manager lists it as "unknown usb device descriptor request failed".
I appreciate any type of suggestion. Thanks in advance!
