I did a search for a master games thread but found nothing so I thought I would reply here. I just picked mine up yesterday and have been looking for some games for it. Besides Angry Birds ive found that Krazy Kart v1.2.7 works perfectly (full screen, looks great!) with the touch screen controls, but tilt controls are way off. Anyone know of any others that work? I wanted to buy NOVA HD but without a phone number on the Gameloft website it seems not possible.

Are you saying that angry birds does work? When I did a market fix it finally showed up but failed install on me. Is that full screen?

Both Angry Birds and Angry Birds seasons work on mine, running TNT-Lite 2.2.1.

Angry Birds and Pocket God both work fullscreen. Pocket God starts upside down, but just have to flip the tab over. Screen looks better from that side anyways

It wasn't working for me before, but as of 5 minutes ago I got it working on VEGAn

BUKA HD and Radiant HD work AWESOME.
Hi res graphics, super smooth (like 60fps+)

Pool Break Pro works well, a few minor graphical glitches.
Is there a fix for the accelerometer being off 90 degrees on some games? I'm still running stock, rooted.

Hmm... It "works" for me, but doesn't draw correctly. The tower build stacks are drawn in the middle of the playfield, making it somewhat difficult to play.
Are you seeing something different? Oh, btw, I'm running VeganB3.

I am seeing no problems on it. I'm running TNT 2.02 (I need to update, but I need to find time, LOL)

did anyone get Live Holdem to work in fullscreen?

Reckless Racing works well.
PacMan Championship Edition works and the controls aren't as awful as on a small screen.

I have Heavy Gunner working for me, and it looks and plays awesome. Very smooth effects and great sound.
As far as apps go I'm testing more as I go, but Direct Tv and and DJ Studio both work as well.
I will post more working ones as I go.

Are there any working FPS games yet?

I tried Quake and Toonwarz, but couldn't get them to work correctly (control error in Quake, nothing happening in Toonwarz). Are there any FPS games that work? My son's birthday is Saturday and I would like to give him his gift with at least one FPS game in addition to the other cool stuff that's there...

The PSX emu works and I've played a few games on there.
Other than that, I haven't tried any FPS games.

Does NOVA work?

Most of the Gameloft games work, but only via black market outlets, and/or from various devices Moto Sholes, Tab. Ive tested Nova, Brothers in Arms 2, Modern Combat, Asphalt, Need For Speed (wow!), Hawx, Dungeon Hunter...
All work for the most part with minimal cut screen glitches where scale issues show.

Did you do anything special to get dungeon hunter to work?
Mine just keeps fc'ing on me. I transferred and installed the apk from my copy on Droid 2 (which I got during the free day). What else do I need to do?

I couldn't get Let's Golf to open for me.

Most Droid or Tab versions of games seem to be working mostly for the NC.. Just played Madden 11 demo (off Droid X game dl). Not too shabby of a game.

Dark area works

Is it possible to download apk's directly to the NC sd card or internal memory from the browser? I don't see any settings that allow you to choose a download destination.
Also how do you clear browser history? No options for this in default browser.

I use Firefox for Android, and I think it's possible there.

Gameloft Games?

I took the ones from data\app on my phone and placed them in system\app on my Nook Color and changed the permissions. After a reboot, I can find them in the launcher, but when I press on them they close instantly.
Has anyone gotten any of these games to work?

I've gotten Dungeon Hunter to work really well just by installing it normally...
Of course I'm fully rooted with market and everything.

Yes, I've had some success with gameloft, I posted in another thread, "apps that work....I think" But it has grown to twenty something pages, and games are not addressed specifically.
Loaded and working on my NC, (these came from my SCaptivate froyo 2.2)
Working
*Gangster
*Hawx
*NOVA
*Sandstorm (need to stop game and then resume to clear up horizontal black bar)
Not working (for me) Assassin's Creed/Uno/Let's Golf
It is an aspect ratio issue, the controls are offset and don't work correctly.
*Assassin's Creed, is the only one I've tested that responds the same way as yours (paul22000), loads then closes.
I've seen, in another thread (not the one referenced above) that Asphalt 5 works, if I remember correctly they used a tablet version. They explained how to get the correct download and it seemed well thought out, but I have not tried it myself.

Asphalt 5 (tab version) and UNO (tab version) work without a hitch.

Nova, Hero of Sparta, & Dungeon Hunter all work for me.

"HD" versions of spider man and dungeon hunter works great.

I have the following working:

Dungeon Hunter works perfectly. Hero of Sparta works but the controls are offset, as someone else reported. Basically the hand controls appear where they would if the screen were WVGA instead of WSVGA. I was able to install both normally on my rooted NC.

How are you guys downloading these games?
I only have the two free games they gave out for the month of December.

NOVA 3.1.3 (galaxy tab version) crashes as soon as I open it. Any solutions?

I installed Dungeon Hunter HD and Asphalt 5 3.1.3.0 and it tells me i need more space on my sd card.
My sd card is formatted for the NC root. Obviously, my NC has been rooted already, can i re-format my sd card for more space? or do i need to leave the sd image alone? I don't know if the nook boots from the sd or what.
Can I re-format my SD without encountering problems on the NC?

Yes, you can reformat. And just so you know, this question has been asked like a billion times.

The Galaxy Tab versions Dungeon Hunter and Asphalt 5 DO work here (I haven't purchased any others to test). The only obvious issue I've had with them is that the MP4s for the Intros and Cutscenes don't play, so be aware of this. Didn't see this mentioned already, so I thought I'd put it out there.
The reason for this is the 1024x600 resolution (not baseline profile) of these video files. I ran the LOGO.mp4 of Asphalt 5 through handbrake and after that the NC's built in video app was able to play it. However, Asphalt doesn't like the replacement file and asks to re-download the original.
While the intro isn't all that important, it was just a test to see if it could be replaced. Perhaps it can't because of some checksum, etc? Hopefully not too much (of import) is missed by the games just skipping over these files that the NC can't play.

I remember being able to play Asphalt HD on my NC on 1/13/10. Asphalt would simply skip over the (unplayable 1024x600) cutscene video and continue to the game itself. But since I installed that the latest update the game displays a dialog message saying "sorry could not play this file" before shutting it's self down.
So I tried resizing the cutscene video with Dvdcatalyst to 854x480 and uploading the cropped file to the nook color. But when I launched Asphalt I got the same message that epakrat75 got asking me to download 22 megabytes. Which ultimately replace the cropped cutscene with the original but unplayable cutscene.
Sad thing is I know that the game plays well on the nook color because I was able to do so only a few days ago. If only I could find a way to get the game to skip the cutscene without crashing.

So far I've played every gameloft game on the nook color (galaxy tab versions) only asphalt, modern combat, Spiderman, uno, ad modern combat work. Every other game (gangstar, Nova, etc.) Cranes out on the video or gets really fidgety with the popular notification so you can't get past it. But Ive Berenice having lots of fun with modern combat and Spiderman recently.

I couldnt find a spiderman link that worked.. Would like to test on Nook.. PM linkage?

I tried to buy Gangstar Miami for samsung to install on my Nook, but I get this:
Sorry, Gangstar: Miami Vindication HD is not available for your phone at the moment. from the Gameloft website.
How the hell do you get without paying. I've try a few from google but once installed I get this is not an orignal copy of the Gangstar Miami, then Sandstorm, and dungeon hunter displays the same message.

I've had similar luck as the others above with the galaxy tab versions. I was able to get spiderman, dungeon hunter and uno working, but after the sdcard data downloads everything works, until i quit the game and try again, then it won't work...

i bought 2 games Dugeon Hunter 2 and Star Batallion the games seems to start up but then the games crashes or sometime's the game start but the then i'm missing parts of the screen or i can't use on screen navigation.

Did you restore your apps/data with TB by any chance? I've found a bunch of games will FC after doing that for some reason. Uninstall, re-install and see if they'll load then.
Just tried a fresh install of Let's Golf and it loads fine.

Problems with Gameloft games in Optimus Black

TDKR:
When I install, don't even the app goes on, it just closes and come back to app drawer, I've tried on and offline, with and without data and with and without tb files

I tried with Spider Man now, this one installs and everything, just don't launch the game, and I tried to post some screens, but all that happens in this case is just this, the game installs, the android/obb/*obb files* and android/data/com.gameloft.blahblahblah*sd data uncompressed by the game* are there, then I press ok, then, doesn't matter with or without internet on, the screen turns black or shows that animation in screenshot2
Sometimes it says "checking license" and closes the game, sometimes it says "this games requires 1 mb to run on your device" I choose yes and then, again, "checking license and force close"

I didn't put Flight Mode in Spider Man nor Asphalt 7, but in TDKR yeah
the most strange is that games like Shrek Karting, Asphalt 6, Asphat 5, Eternal Legacy, Total Recall and Avatar (it force close during the game when doing a lot of movements at the same time, if you guys could also help..) runs perfectly, only those 'new games' that don't

im running the same as you and the game works smoothly ,, clear the data from app manger and uninstall the app , reinstall it on phone and copy the data again and make sure the path is right cuz it works smoothly on mine

Gameloft games doesn't work on FOP ICS or any rom based on that.Install Zeus and it will work.I bought Asphalt 7 and Nova 3 and they don't work on ICS(on official ics it will work flawless)
That version that you show it's a cracked one , but you can buy asphalt 7 with 1$ form google market.Nova 3 was 1$ too today :
