just tried coldmod gingerbread rom and really like it but it doesn't appear to have the samsung keypad under input method. have i done something wrong or is there a way i can flash the keypad? i'm not a newbie, just don't know how to resolve it. any help would be great. thanks
you can take samsung keyboard from other roms
you need these files:
/system/app/AXT9IME.apk
/system/lib/libDHWR.so & libxt9core.so
/system/T9DB (folder) T9DB on some rom exist and some not take it if it is there
take those files from another rom and copy to the relevant directories you will have samsung keyboard

Since I upgraded my TyTN II to official HTC WM 6.1 ROM French, I noticed the following new big files in the Windows folder:
- EngDict.dat (947 Ko)
- EupDict.dat (1,49 Mo).
They are not system files.
I didn't install any additional dictionaries and couldn't find these file names in the forum or on Google.
Questions:
1) Does anybody also have these files?
2) They are obviously dictionaries (full of words) but what are they used for?
3) Can they be deleted without problems?

I don't have either file in the Windows directory on my AT&T standard ROM.
I would consider renaming the files (or copying them to backup and deleting them.) I wonder if they came as part of another install you did.

Hi guys, after flashing various ROMS to fulfill my girlfriends satisfaction (more APK space, better batterylife and reception etc etc) she has realised that her keyboard has changed from the original type with Swype and the numbers in the layout of a calculator or something?
does anyone have the APK AND .so files to flash either in a .zip or pushable to the phone via ADB?

Hi i just wanted to know if anyone knows the name of the samsung keyboard in system/apps.
I wanted to replace it with the older keyboard that the SGN first came with.
I would really appreciate it if someone could give me the keyboard apk from the older samsung rom. The one with no numbers on top and bigger buttons.

AxT9IME.apk is the name of the stock keyboard.
I do not have the stock keyboard as i run a custom ICS ROM on it, You can have the stock ICS keyboard if you wish ? But i dont think its what you're looking for, However you could download a stock SGN ROM (GB ?) and extract it, I think its named LatinIME.apk in older Samsung GB ROMs
Also, Its not possible to open the contents of a .tar file on windows, Inside that .tar is files only recognised by ODIN and Linux machines (or emulators)

Do you know how can you add apps to a stock ROM downloaded from the internet??
if you have the rom and its a cwm flashable version you can just use 7zip to add remove parts of the rom and then flash it.
its called being a 7zip jockey there's a lot of them on xda lol
hi i new to this forum.sorry if my english is bad
i have some questions.first ill explain what i did and want to doo, and here i need help.
i have an galaxy s gt i9000 and i flashed it to the latest firmware XXJW4.than i rooted it.but now its not rooted.
i downlaode some app system remover, so i disabled/deleted some app taht i dont need or arent needed at'all.
than i googled how to open tar file, used magic iso and opend it.deleted few files from factoryfs.rfs.
now my questios.
1.is it safe to delet these file (dialer, voice search,now buddies, some test files and so on..)
2.can i still flash the firmware without these files and without no bugs to see.
3.im not an expert on this, i need someone to create a tar file using those files that i have on my pc
so i can flash my galaxy.
4.can i replace the kernel to an another one and if so which one can i use.
these files are in my folder now:
-boot.bin
-cache.rfs
-factoryfs.rfs <<< this is the one i oped and deleted files
-modem.bin
-param.lfs
-sbl.bin
-zImage.

Hi everyone!
I currently have the Galaxy S6 running 7.0 on the May update (G920TUVU5FQE1)
I accidentally hit the delete button on my Root Explorer app instead of Cut, and deleted the folder containing my keyboard (SamsungIMEv5_SYSTEMUID)
Ive done some heavy modifications to the system which is why I dont want to reflash the firmware to fix this, so can someone please send me their folder from the "system/app" so I can use my phones keyboard again please
(the folder might have the .ODEX file as well, please just send the whole folder)
I appreciate it in advance!
