Which is the best kernel for ColdMod Rom? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Just yesterday i loaded Coldmod Rom... am loving the rom but it lags sometimes... i was wondering if there are any kernels recommended for Coldmod rom that will keep the battery life the same (or make it better) and help get rid of the lag that i get sometimes....
Quadrant score is coming to only 930-980.. im on the same kernel that flashed with the Coldmod 2.0 (default)
Thanks

Please research your thoughts before jumping on the keyboard. If you have downloaded darkys rom then your questions should go on his thread or his facebook or forum page!
I'm not commenting on his post cause I will never find my answer there's like 2000pages

Flash a different kernel, like the one in my signature. Alternatively, wait for the update this weekend, it is supposed to fix the issues some folks are having.

+1 9.4s default kernel dark voodoo is too big which causes screen tears. Either ignore it or flash another kernel

Is your setup on a I9000M Bell Version or the standard I9000?
And how long is your battery life?
I'm only messed with the Rogers Captivate with mixed results in terms of ROMs and Kernels so, I'd love to have the best rather then days of hit & miss again.
Cheers, Red Hazy
My apologies if I'm thread-jacking but, I'm sure others may want to know the same info...?

Bell I9000M. Battery life gets me through a full day with heavy use, recharge overnight -- no battery drain overnight if its already charged, use the phone too much to know how long it would go with just minimal phone use but that usage pattern also defeats the purpose of having a smartphone in the first place. Battery life is way better than when I was on stock 2.2 Bell firmware!
Tried lots of different combinations before finding damians kernel and then Brotuck's roms -- Tornado is the culmination of their close collaboration and it shows in performance. Yes you get speed, but you also get stability, smooth phone performance and good battery life.
Can we install the above said rom on standard i9000 ?

There is no Rom atm, which is lagfree..
Thanks !
Tried Semaphore and also Midnight but still not smooth at all.
So finally on stock kernel ( cf root ) and a Go Launcher which after a full day is still quite nice though the middle menu button opens apps after half a second of hesitation. But after that rest is a breeze.
So maybe TW4 lags cause of cpu and other technical things but a launcher seems to behave better on the other hand. I don't know. Maybe still too early to deduce ?
Take care !

When have you done the flashing ? your word "just" means just finished only ?
From my previous experience with N7000, the heat after flashing is normal. The battery drain also still consider normal.
Because everytime you flash ROM / kernel, it will try to do some adjustment to your device.
You just need to wait for few hours and let the ROM/kernel works.
Normally after everything settled, it will back to normal.

Stock rom overclock

Hello people how are you? I have a question for you. Ok maybe not a question but a request? Ok lets get to the thing. Ive tried many custom roms and i kinda dont like them so i went back on a stock rom. The only problem is thay i want to overclock stock rom but i cant find the right kenel. I found some outdated post on xda and downloaded godell's kernel and it seems to work perfectly expect the games wont work. The screen just go black and thats it. So im asking is there anyone that can help me out fix this issue? Ive tried downclocking and changing governors but it didnt help. If anyone coukd provide me with some kernel and/or stock rom that supports that kernel i would be really gratefull. Here are some of the information about my current rom
Baseband version S5570XWKT6
Build number GINGERBREAD.XWKTN
Android version 2.3.6
Best regards and thanks in future

Ah then its ok
But if u wanna try other kernel, try using doc_cheilvenerdi's internal memory hack, there are also oc kernels and u get this possibility to have more internal mem as nice side effect

I actually want oc kernel for european 2.3.5 but its hard do find so im fine with this xD
