So here is what I'm wondering about. I decide to buy Launcher Pro Plus, but I reinstall my ROM often and I was thinking: "Am I gonna be able to upgrade to Launcher Pro Plus if I reinstall my rom, or I must play another 3€?". And what if I change my android accout, if I forgot password? Can I still use my Launcher Pro Plus if I have key? or I must pay 3€ for each gmail accout?
Can someone tell me does LauncherProPlus gives you a key which you can use aftere new rom and is it locked to your google acount?
Thanks!
Yeah when you buy it you receive an email with a code (I did at least), and everytime you flash a rom and have to re-download LPP or whatever, you can just go to unlock and then type in your paypal email and the key that was emailed you you. So once bought, you'll always be able to unlock it.

But I mean if I change my google accout. I must use my paypal accout to activate my Launcher Pro Plus. Or I must use adnroid accout?
If you buy the new Launcher Pro Plus from Market, then it is locked to your Google account. If you want to use a new Google account, then you will have to buy LPP again.
When you activate the key though it only asks you for your email which you bought it with. You sure it wouldn't let you go through with activating it if you still had all the original purchase information in it?
To clarify:
Okay let me just clarify this for everybody.
LauncherPro is NOT locked to your account. Once you have bought it, they send a code to your email account. When you are unlocking LauncherPro you type in the email you bought it with (doesn't matter if it's different to your google account), and type in the code they gave you.
Another awesome thing is once you have the code you can use it on as many devices as you possibly want. I unlocked it for sever friends (I know I'm so nice).

That isn't entirely true. LPP previously had to be bought through paypal. In this case you are correct. However, since the release of 0.8.5 there is now a Market Unlocker that you can purchase through the market which would tie it to your google account. AFAIK, you can still choose to buy it through paypal and get an unlock code that way (allowing you to then use it on a different phone/google account in the future).
Btw, unlocking for your friends isn't being necessarily being nice. I believe the intention of using multiple devices is in case you change your device or possibly your google account, it is meant for convenience, not so you can share with your buddies and essentially steal from the dev. It isn't for me to judge, but just pointing it out...

Not cool. Fede makes something great that you and your friends use everyday. Support the devs that make your phone better, don't steal from them.

I've never had to re-purchase LPP, you shouldn't have any problems. The LPP widgets are great, especially once you get a nice skin for them.
why do not just simply backup and restore in LauncherPro settings??
thats what i do all the time and with no problem at all!!
in seconds, not minutes!
i always have my LauncherPro backup folder in my SDCard and when i flash a new rom, choose "Restore Backup" voilá!
My Google Nexus S doesn't find the Launcher Pro Plus Unlocker app in market so i cannot buy the program . Any Solutions ?
Uninstall, go to website and do. 84 and just PayPal? I don't really know how it works now (since I've had plus for ages) but it should work

Hello,
I live in Poland and we still can't buy paid android apps, which really p*sses me off. Is there an alternative way to buy from the market? I don't want to use pirated software.
Pretty sure if you email the Dec of app you want they will work something out with you. Also try market enabler

Root phone, install Market Enabler which will allow your phone to pretend that it is in a different market (ie one with paid apps available). Works great. I am in Canada, which does not have paid apps yet, and use it to buy apps. This was the main reason I rooted my phone.
I live in Norway and we don't have access to paid apps yet.
I did install Market Enabler, and got access, but when I'm buying, after I've input credicard information, nothing happens. The phone tries to connect and eventually I get an errormessage that a connection could not be etablished (or something in that effect)
I chose Market Enabler 3 (beta) as I'm using a Hero ROM. (Old version does not work), and I choose o2 (de) as provider.
Any tips?
tried using Slideme, it is an alternative market that works outside of the android market.
Thanks for the replies! I rooted my phone finally (using flashrec) and by the way updated to some hero ROM (myhero-1.1.1 to be exact) and used Market Enabler. Works really well so far, I haven't had time to try to actually purchase anything yet, but I can see paid apps now.
I love the HTC Sense look and feel, but I there are some bugs that weren't present in the vanilla magic (skippy music, worse jabber integration, etc).
It's amazing how easy it is to root and flash your phone these days, I remember last time I was thinking about it the howto scared the hell out of me. And I'm a developer (just a lazy one).
Just purchased my frist app on Android Market
There was one issue, maybe this will help someone: When I entered my credit card details on my phone it didn't work - there was some kind of server error. I had to go to google checkout using browser on my computer, enter my cc details and then I was able to buy apps off android market.

Try setting up your Google checkout account using a PC based browser. Once you do that you should only be shown the price and have to confirm to buy.
That worked for me.

I have done a little searching but could not find an answer to the question I'm about to ask, please don't flame me.
I have an N1 (obviously) rooted and all that with custom rom on Froyo 2.2/
Now, my question is regarding the market.
Is there anyway of signing out of the market, I have flicked through the various settings but can't seem to find anything. The reason I ask is that I have entered my credit card details for when I buy apps, now if I were to lose my phone, the 'New' owner would be able to purchase apps with my card.
I have purchased a $1 app just to see and it goes through the payment process saying something like 'is this the card you wish to use **** **** **** 2414
So, is there anyway that when I use the market I have to sign in/out or something?
Pretty sure the market is attached to your Google account. Just wipe the phone to factory settings and make then login to the phone at the original Android screen.

You bring up a good point, i never thought of this.
The only real way would be to go into settings and remove your google account. This would also disable the calendar sync and gmail sync.
https://www.google.com/accounts, Checkout, Edit Payment Methods.
Be sure to alert your credit card company too and keep track of purchases should this happen.
Oop, bit of an oversight on my part...
You can get apps for free from the market which will lock certain apps for you. So you can choose it to lock the Market app which you can only access after typing in a password of 4digit code which you set. This may be the simplest solution for you.
May also be good to lock the messaging app too if you have nosey friends or whatever.
log into google checkout and remove your card
Thanks cymru
I took your advise and installed the free version of App Lock.
I have locked Market, GMail, Settings, Contacts and SMS.
Many thanks for the help.

I already own an android phone and bought a bunch of applications. I just rooted and installed the market on my nook using the same email address that is on my phone. For some reason the market on my nook wont let me download my paid apps without buying them again. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I tried redoing it and I have the same problem. Does this happen to anyone else? Does everyone else have access to their paid apps without having to pay for them again?
I didn't have to rebuy my apps. But market has been updated since I installed them. Maybe a newer version of market changed something.
It really doesn't make any sense. Its definitely the same account. It has my credit card information filled out already. I even tried buying an app i bought previously, just to see if that would jog it. It didn't work. It charged me and i had to refund it. I really don't know what else to try.
Nope, all of mine show up as "Purchased". Every time this question comes up it's always usage of the same account, but you say that's already been checked..
Good luck.
Thanks. It has to be the same acount or else all of my redit card information wouldn't bebon there. All of my android market reciepts go to this accout also.
Try visiting this page https://market.android.com/account and see a list of your purchased apps.
Standalone web site should be more reliable, than an app, hacked in a stock firmware, which kinda doesn't support google apps.

Now I'm more worried. The site you linked to doesn't have any record of my purchases either. My google checkout account under the same name, however, does have records of all of my purchases. Have any idea what i should do now?

I always pay with credit card.
Does google have some form of actual support other than the forum?
I have nookie froyo on her now. Same exact problem. This is bull**** and definitely on googles end. When are they going to get a customer support line? I've never seen another company that charges actually money like google does in the market without having a customer support line. I'm sure whatever is causing this will cause problems if I ever get another android phone in the future.
Having the same trouble here
What kind of android phone do you have? Is it using a custom rom? I'm thinking that the problem isn't with the nook at all. It's with our other devices not registering with the market properly.
It's as I suspected. I flashed my phone back to stock and I can't redownload any applications either. My whole market account got wiped somehow.
same issue here, totally different tablet BTW (samsung galaxy tab). Same thing - I wiped and flashed a ROM (ironically, same ROM!) and afterwards all my paid apps are being asked to repurchase when I hit install. Similarly in the web market it says I don't own any apps....
I am able ot restore my apps via titanium and hilariously all licence checks for programs that implement them e.g. titanium, worms etc. continue to work thank god but Goog better fix this sh-t real quick. I have >50 paid apps so this is really really bugging me out (plus now I'm afraid to do any more flashing/tweaking)
Do you have the backup, OP?
If so, just run it instead of redownload from Play
Sure you used the same google account?

Ok, so I bought a P9 ( EVA-AL00 ) since I've always been a fan of Leica products, and I'm a hobbyist photographer. First off, I currently use an iPhone 5s for the last 2 months, and before that was using a OnePlus One, and before that an iPhone 5c and Blackberry Passport, so I've had a variety ogf phones over the last 2 years. I'm not into hacking, or unlocking or locking bootloaders and that type of thing, which is why I generally like Apple products, as they just seem to work out of the box. I'm leaving my 5s because the screen is too small, and I like what the P9 offers for the money, at a cheaper price point than an iPhone 6s. And the Leica optics.
So, having said that, what do I need to know once I get the phone tomorrow? Any critical or important tips or tricks? Again, I'm not into anything complicated when it comes to phones like rooting, etc... I'm in Canada and my Carrier is Bell. My ANdroid experience has been with the OnePlus One I used for a while, and I was generally pleased with it.
Thanks
Ok, so phone arrived. I made a mistake. It's a EVA-DL00.
It's running EVA-DL00C17B163, and I'm currently updating to 168. This is a CHinese version of the phone, from my understanding. I'm using it in English, but some things are still in Chinese. Is there any way to to flash with other software to make it all English?

I recently bought the EVA-L10 (Chinese Dual-Sim, "premium" version, 4G/64G) while in Shanghai, and I have the same "problem" as you.
Basically since Google is not available in China, the phones sold in China don't come with Google Android framework, they use a "non-google Android", based of the official Android.
So, to your question, will it be possible to flash another firmware over your phones firmware? I say Yes, however at the same time I'm lying, because I'm also looking for this firmware for my phone, but if someone posts a EVA-L29 Firmware somewhere on the Interweb, I'm most certain this firmware will work on my phone and should also work on yours (might require bootloader unlock and root, but so what..).
But the phone is, chinese apps or not, awesome
/S
You can install Google stuff. Just download the Google Play store from the Huawei store, and then have at 'er installing all the normal Google Play apps that you want. That's what I'm currently doing. I just want to get rid of all the Chinese stuff on the phone. ALso, switch the keyboard to the regular Android one in the settings.

Hi!
Of course, but there are still some applications that are "System Applications" that you cant get rid of, like HiCare, HiApp, .. etc. and if you are in a country using special characters like ü or åäö, these are not rendered correct in the Mail app (shows up as chinese chars).

Hi,
I also bought a P9 ( EVA-AL00 ) last June, and currently i'm having an issue.
Usually i don't have games on my phone, or almost none, but some days ago, i wanted to install Heartstone on my P9. When downloading , at about 85%, sometimes 9x% (once it reached 100%) suddently it pops out from Google Play, and don't install the game. I tried also with other games and it happens the same. It doesn't happens with every game, i tested sucessfully with Stack and Sokoban
I have plenty of free space on phone and several applications installed (no Google Play issue, i think).
After i received the phone, i download the Google services/play store APK without issues. I deactivated the chinese bloatware, with no issues. Once Google Play installed, i downloaded all other Google Apps i use and others without issues...well there is an issue i had with RT app. It installed ok, but sometimes when i want to open it, i have to try several times to open it... I click on icon but closes.
Have someone here with EVA-AL00 having this issue also?
Thanks!

I just bought the non-carrier specific 3G / 32G Chinese version (EVA AL00) P9 when I was in Guangzhou last week and had to do the following after coming back home to get it to work with google and sync with two google accounts.
1. Install Google Play Store from HiApp and sign in with first google account.
2. Make sure to give Google Play Store permission to access storage, otherwise large apps won't install.
3. Download apk of Google Contacts Sync from APKMirror
4. Download apk of Google Calendar Sync from APKMirror
5. Use the browser on the phone to download these two apk files and follow the instruction on the phone to install them.
Sorry I'm not allowed to post outside links yet, however google search keywords like Google Contacts Sync APK will turn up the download links.
6. Since the phone still did not allow me to add a second google account in Settings -> Accounts -> Add Account, I had to install Youtube and use the Add Account in Youtube to add a second google account.
After these steps, I was able to sync contacts and calendar events with both google accounts and install apps from Play Store.

To create an account with e-mail only, you should be able to log in to your Vivo account with just e-mail if you use "WeChat, Alipay, Weibo, graph renren" account with other login methods from the official Vivo website in China . I created an account this way. No need for China, Hong Kong or India numbers.

Please keep in mind that this website generates a temporary number, which can be a massive pain, on my Vivo Nex S I did a factory reset a few weeks after using this method and when I started setting up the device, it recognise that the phone was already linked to a VIVO account and it asked again to confirm the PIN, the issue here is that the PIN was sent to the number generated from the website above, but because the number used was a temporary one, I was unable to setup my device after the reset, I eventually followed a hacky guide to bypass this, but it was a lot of frustrating hours around this. After this horrible experience, I put it straight to eBay, I'll never buy a Chinese model of Vivo or Oppo phones, both require a chinese number to set them up.
