I can't get maps 5.0 to rotate smoothly. Pinch zoom and tilt work fine but it is difficult to get it to rotate. When it does it jumps around. I have cyanogen 7.0.

Get version 5.3.1. It works quite well. hope it helps.

Running 5.3.1. and the rotate gesture is veeeeeeeery erratic. Expected anyway, since Aria has a so-so touch matrix and maps itself doesnt lists the Aria as a fully working with maps.
I remember someone saying when that was first implemented that it doesn't work because the aria doesn't support true multi-touch

Do you know if/how well Evernote works on Honeycomb on the Xoom?
I sort of figure Dropbox works OK, but would like to know about your experience with that too.

I've only used it lightly over the past 2 days but Evernote appears to work OK. No FCs that I can recall.
I use both and they work great!
I haven't had issues with either application, both seem to work great and I have been using them extensively on the Xoom. Evernote updates rapidly between. My EVO and Xoom as well.

Same for me on my Xoom. Both work great. Evermore doesn't look all that nice but it works flawlessly for me.

Updated my stock 1.1 auto nootered Roman to phiremod 4.1. I love it but pinch to zoom isn't working in apps like LA Times and NY Times. It works fine in dolphinId post this in he developer forum, but I'm a noob bandit wont let me!

Are you sure those App support Pinch to Zoom?? I have not used them but its possible they may not,
I will try them when I get home and can install them to my CM7 Nightly #17
Thanks. I use USA Today as well. One of them isn't pinch to zoom, I forget which one.
Ask, I realized I restored them with Titanium Backup. Maybe that was it. I'll insall from Market.

Nope. I couldn't find the same USA Today app but noñe of the other ones worked. They used to work great and even resized the margins correctly when it zoomed.

Heads up, the Engadget app now works in landscape, and is more or less Honeycomb optimized. Still has the menu button down at the bottom though.
I wish that they had just said stretched for landscape.

unfortunately it doesn't work nicely with the site's videos... but it's much more pleasant now... still, videos are deal breaker, will still access through the browser (just hope they fix the UA detection redirecting to the mobile version soon...)

I am pretty much a noob but I have seen several complaints about this. I have the stock Android 2.2 rom rooted. I dont know technically why this worked but I uninstalled Flash 10.3 update and uninstalled Netflix update. Redownloaded Netflix from Market and then applied Flash 10.3 update and appears to be working smoothly. I read one place that netflix doesnt even use flash but I cant explain why reverting fixed it

Never had this issue and this is a highly used app for my phone with 3 kids. Poor service / back grounded apps maybe ? Or maybe decrapified rom ftw?!

Does the Netflix app sense your connection speed? Considering your connection speed is constantly changing, it just overall wouldn't be a good app. I personally don't use it, cuz I don't like to watch on such a small screen. I get it with 3 kids, but my 2 kids know they will not be touching my $600 dollar phone.
Nevermind.. Ran smooth for one day then back to choppy. Even on wifi..

I understand that as far as kids touching them. I haven't every had a problem with my kids but given my back ground and the fact I run a small store and fix iPhone /android handsets its not a problem. I still don't gather why people are having issues with the Netflix app maybe its service.
I am having issues with NetFlix after the update
Just installed Revolt Rom 1.0 from the dev page.. so far Netflix is running smooth and the Rom is great. I will update if that changes..

Revolt 1.2 Seemed to make Netflix play even smoother, however it could just be a placebo effect for me
Ok this has been going on before 4.3 came out. For some odd reason during navigation my maps doesn't drop down 45° when traveling. It stays facing straight down leaving me to rely on the arrows when making a turn. Also doesn't zoom in when I get close to a turn. I can't seem to figure out what happened. I've tested latest maps update with other HTC ones and other phones and it works just fine. I've tried uninstalling and clearing cache. Nothing.

i think u just need to tap the little compass icon in the top right of the navigation map a couple of times....
Just tap the screen and it will zoom in
