You are no longer on stock rom and so is your recovery. LG OTA package comes in and downloaded but fails to install cuz u are not on stock recovery already.
What u need is FOTAKill.apk install to your Phone internal storage. FOTAKill.apk is to prevent OTA updates. It is available in CM7 TINY UNIVERAL GAPPS. U may download it and extract the file for installation.

new update availible via LG desktop tool.
i plugged in my new (but used) lg 2X UK SPEC and i was greeted with An update- after the update my phone is-
baseband- 1035.21_20110405
kernal V- 2.6.32.9
build number- FRG83G
LGE Version- LGP990-V10d
this may be a fix from LG for the amount of issues with the phone r it could be something ewlse entirly it may be wirth plugging yopur phone in and seeing what happens. so far i have had no restarts/freezes etc.
Have had it for a couple of weeks.
Still get BSOD, so no joy sadly

Hello to whoever's reading.
I had flashed to a stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread using ODIN a while ago and decided I no longer wanted it due to zero 3G internet connection (mobile phone calls and sms' were fine, had KOR in firmware details, don't know why), so I downloaded the I9000DTJG4 2.1 FW which is the stock Optus firmware provided with the SGS handsets purchased from Optus outlets.
I flashed the I9000DTJG4.tar and the 512.pit using ODIN no problems. I am now trying to upgrade to 2.2 Optus Official Firmware using Kies 2.0 but it said that my phone was up to date, so I uninstalled 2.0 (will explain why in a second) and installed the Kies that came with the handset in the CD (version 1.5.1.10062_7), and this is the following problem I get:

I was following this thread to trick Kies into thinking that my phone was on 2.1 (which it actually is, don't know why Kies won't let me upgrade) - http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1537182 - which is why I installed Kies 1.5.1, however this also doesn't work.
What can I do to get 2.2 Official Optus Firmware on my i9000 through Kies?
Kies 2.0 advices my current firmware information is as follows:
PDA:JG4 / PHONE:JG3 / CSC:JG1
This version of the device cannot be updated.
My phone says the following:
FW: 2.1-update1
Baseband: I9000DTJG3
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
Build Number: ECLAIR.DTJG4
Is there no other option but to download Optus' 2.2 FW from samfirmware? (EDIT - I can't find it lol!)
Thanks in advance.
Few updates, downloaded Kies 1.5.3 and used regedit to change the following values:
"SoftwareRevision"="I9000DTJG4/I9000OPSJG1/I9000DTJG3/I9000DTJG4"
"ProductCode"="GT-I9000HKAOPS"
"HIDSWVER"="I9000DTJG4/I9000OPSJG1/I9000DTJG3/I9000DTJG4"
Still no luck. Anyone?
Bump. Flashing back to stock Optus 2.1 surely fixed my 3G Internet but I'd still like to know how I can update to 2.2 Official Firmware through Kies please.
Thanks.
Hi all,
My name is Joe and ive recently purchased a s3 i9305 4g 2gb/16gb. I'm trying to install original firmware upgrade to 4.1.2 but am getting an error in odin. The error is: The parameter is incorrect.
Any reason this would be popping up. I've been able to load various other firmware through odin with no problem. The version of the firmare is exactly the same as the current version installed on the phone. the only difference is the build 4.1.1 trying to upgrade to 4.1.2???
Any help would be appreciated.
regards
Joe
possibly a corrupt download? try redownloading the firmare
Hi All,
Latest news on thwe 4.1.2 upgrade is that i redownloaded the firmware still the same error. I then installed onin mobile and tried to load the firmware from that handheld application and presto it loaded. Waited for the firmware to do its thing. Finished and when the phone rebooted it was still 4.1.1. I need to re root my phone as i lost root access, and it appears that the firmware is not actually 4.1.2 but infact 4.1.1. Handset states it still 4.1.1. The firmware in question is the Hong Kong supposed upgrade 4.1.2 from SamsMobile. File name I9305ZHBLL3_I9305TGYBLJ1_TGY.zip. Has anybody else experianced the the same result with this firmware?
Regards
Joe

Hello,
like the title descripes, i just want to know how i can receive OTA updates again. I'm currently running on stock Android 5.0.2.
The device has an unlocked bootloader and has been rooted(wich has already been undone).
Did i flash the wrong firmware since i had to manually install it because the device was running on cm 12.1?
I know i could simply install the 5.1 firmware but since i don't want to loose all my data and i don't want to **** arround with backups and stuff,
i hope i can get the OTA update to work again.
hope you glory it magicans are able to help me
kind regards
P.S.
Here is a screenshoot with some infos:

How do you know that you won't get any updates with the firmware you've got? As far as I know, Motorola hasn't released the 5.1 update yet, at least not for the XT1068 model that is sold in Germany.
For reasons of comparison, I am on 5.0.2 with my XT1068 as well (never rooted, never unlocked BL), although it states the Baseband-Version to be: "MSM8626BP_1032.3105.93.00R EMEA_DSDS_CUST"
(funny how my device is always recognized as XT1068, although the "1032" suggests it to have the Baseband firmware of another device).
I also have different kernel versions and build numbers:
Code:
Kernel: 3.4.42-gdd242b0
[email protected]#1
Fri Jan 23 13:23:41 CST 2015
System version: 22.26.1.titan_retde.retdeall.en.DE retde
Build number: LXB22.46-28.1
This is an unbranded device, bought in Germany. My system updater app always states that my system software is up to date, so I guess I'll have to wait a little longer for 5.1 to be released on my XT1068 so I can get it OTA.
But basically, there is no reason to believe, your device has already received an update, so it may very well be that you'll get one when it's released. Or, if not, then you may see if you can find another firmware (i.e. the one I have, which runs quite smoothly - I've had only one or two unexpected reboots since I've got the device, and never had any other troubles), then why shouldn't it get an update? Provided that you don't deactivate the Motorola OTA app, which needs to be working for the phone to know when it gets an update.
Last night, my device received a new update. Here are the details:
Build number: LRX22C L720VPUGOK3
Baseband version: L720VPUGOK3
Android version: 5.0.1
Android security patch level: 2015-11-01
Kernel Version - 3.4.0-4745659 [email protected] #1 (Wed Nov 18 16:38:44 KST 2015)
I assume this is a (minor) security update.
We know that OH1 was for stagefreight fix. Does anybody have any information on what this fix is about? Please share your thoughts/information.

Can anyone make a separate modem flashable update?
BE WARNED!!!!!!!
I updated my phone to this update on Saturday and now I have "NO SIM" "Insert SIM Card" message. I now have no LTE service on my phone.
Called Sprint sunday, not knowing what is wrong they sent me a new sim card. I got it today and still getting error. Finally after two hours and three people I was informed they are getting a lot of phone calls with my problem. She had me call Samsung they were no help at all.
She also said they are working on a new update to fix issue.
NVM phone is the problem used the earbud trick.
More details about the OK3 build:
Hi guys...
...after updating to the OK3 build, I search at the custom recovery and notice aditional options on the menu. I flashed almost every custom ROM of the threads. Then, I went back to NG stock via Odin, and update the phone via FOTA...
...everything is fine, and run 4G/LTE pretty well too.
---------- Post added at 09:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:50 AM ----------
Downgrade a stock ROM via Odin and upgrade via Sprint FOTA, at least, I did it and work it out !
Could someone with the same issue confirm my noob solution?

There seems to be some sort of update for my LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile). I'm already on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, so what could this be? I can't update due to having TWRP installed, so I was hoping to find this update on the web somewhere. I checked T-Mobile's site and the highest they have listed is 6.0.1 from last year. Any idea where I can find this update?

Any idea if a flashable zip exists?
Or any way to go back to stock recovery? I'm currently using H811V20r_00_0111.kdz w/ TWRP.
EDIT
I found the stock recovery for the H815. Do you think it'll work on my H811?

To be honest no clue as I have never went stock recovery
It won't update because you probably have unlocked bootloader in addition to not having stock recovery. One option to update that worked for me (albeit you loose all data on phone as it resets when you relock bootloader, but that will probably happen anyways if you could update) was to go into fastboot menu, lock the bootloader, then turn off phone by removing battery (saves a lot of time by skipping the unnecessary rebooting), reinsert battery, put phone in download mode by holding vol up button as you plug usb cable that is connected to your computer. At this point, you can use LG Bridge 'update error recovery' option to get the latest stock rom and recovery reinstalled on your phone. Before you do all this, do realize that LG and T-MOBILE stopped updating or supporting this phone long ago and security updates only go up to April of 2017, so doing all this for an incremental update may not be even worth it.
