I have 2 questions about the ROM. The search feature of XDA seems to have changed and I am having difficulty searching the forums for these answers.
1. When I get a call waiting, the phone asks if I want to hold the first call or end it. Other ROMS that I have used do not ask this question and just place the call on hold. Is it possible to turn this question off. I cannot seem to find the answer.
2. When I am writing an email, suggestive text does not appear. It appears when I am doing other tasks, such as texts, etc. Can this be enabled or is it a feature yet to come?
thanks for the help!

Hi:
I am brand new to the AT&T Tilt. I used to have a Palm Treo 750, so this is very different for me. I have searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer (sorry). Is there a way to turn off that annoying message sent pop-up every time a text message is sent?
Thanks
A part of me wants to reply with the "go SEARCH noob" that I've seen occasionally here and a lot of other forums.
BUT ... since I've gotten so much help here (even if I read till my eyes bled) here's a good way to go about it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333898
Thanks so much. I honestly did search, I tried SMS, SMS disable, SMS notify, and came up with nothing. I didn't even think to search for text. DUH! I am sorry for my stupidity
hi, apologies if this has already been covered but the forum search engine is not the easiest thing to use when you are not sure what the question is!!
has anyone written anything that would give this device the ability to give periodic reminders, ie vibration alert or a beep of sorts to remind of missed calls or text messages? i am quite sure its not something which comes as a feature on the device but would be really useful.
AlarmPal from PocketMax - get it from here - is the only reliable solution I know of....
You can (supposedly) patch the registry to enable the "Repeat" option in Sounds & Notifications for any entry where it is currently greyed out (like missed call, new SMS etc..) - check out this post for all the details - I've tried this in the past and I found that the notifications kept going even after you'd read the SMS or dealt with the missed call......YMMV
Hope that helps
Mark.
excellent, cheers. looks like just the badger i was after.
On the samesite is fone alarm been using it for over a year, fantastic solution.

Do a google search for don't forget 2. Freeware.
But I prefer Phonealarm myself
SPB Phone Suites also has this feature, along with a nice today photo contacts option.
Is there a software out there, that will record all incoming and outgoing calls to the calendar? Sometime ago I had seen something posted but was not sure about what it was really about. The calls that come in where recorded in the calendar with time and date of course. Can anyone out there help me out with this. thanks
Gale
check this....Call Calendar...
also try searching around a bit using the forum search option...it would give you a lot of info which you may otherwise miss out on
Question Answered.
Redundant now.

Hi there,
First of all, my sincere thanks for having such a great forum. I've always been able to find all the solutions to problems by looking here. Until now...
There always has to be a first time for everything
Anyway. My problem:
Yesterday evening i was text-messaging with a my girlfriend. At one point I received a text message from her, and as I tapped the notification message to open the text, I noticed that all her other messages (and mine) had disappeared. They were gone.
Funny thing is, when ever I look at the sent messages, I can still see all the messages I've sent to her. But when looking at the message history between her and me, I only see the message that were sent after that specific message.
Now my question is, is there a way to retrieve these messages? I have been looking on this forum, but haven't seen such like post as mine. I also tried looking on google, but no luck what so ever, except for the rare post on a random forum saying it's not possible to recover them?
I just hope that there is a way you guys might be able to shed a light on this matter, as it would mean a great deal if I could recover these messages.
Also one more thing that I noticed. with all the other text conversations I have with some other friends, I see the first 5 / 6 messages. After that I get the option to see the older messages, which also include 5/ 6 message and so on and so on.
This also used to be the case with the messages between my girlfriend and me.
But since that so called killer message, I'm seeing all the messages in the same threat instead of the last 5 / 6 ones.
Maybe that this last piece of information helps you guys.
Anyway, thanks for reading in advance, and thanks for any help you guys might provide.
Is there an app available that will allow you to forward a received SMS thread from one phone to another.
I have spent hours on Google Play and there are tons of "forwarding" apps but they are "all or nothing". In other words, they will send all incoming sms messages from one phone to another, but I want to forward a thread that I have already received from my phone to someone else. Kind of like forwarding an email. I know I can open the thread, long press on a text message and forward just that text, but I want to be able to forward the entire thread. Is that even possible?

I know it used to be possible but duno anymore. I did a little search but couldn't come up with much. In the mean time, you could delete all the other threads and use the ''all or nothing'' app? Just an idea.
I'll post back if I find more.
