So I installed the new clockwork recovery to install CM7, which I decided against until it's stable
But now everytime I boot to recovery there is like insane vibration!? Like seriously it would be a solid 5 on the Richter Scale
Is there anyway to prevent this? I know other people had this problem as well but the CM7 thread was developing too quickly for me to find a response.
Hope someone can help!
I'm having the same issues as well
however i went ahead and run the backup
completed it
Haven't flashed to any custom roms though
Getting exactly the same thing on my LG O2X, too. Very strange. I think I'm just going to let it buzz and flash a new ROM... :-o
issue still persists with latest version of CWM recovery -- very annoying to say the least.
I'm surprised a solution hasn't been posted yet...?
I'm also getting this constant vibration with CWM Recovery.
I have change Baseband, CWM & ROM many times, yet still it always constantly vibrates in CWM Recovery.
My LG 2X is a "made in Korea" model, if that make a difference.
There must be a fix ?!?!
It has been said many many times, no solution possible or known. You'll have to do with it. Nobody knows where it comes from, very few people have this.
I've solved the vibration issue on my O2X. After tried several version of CWM finally I've found this version '4.0.0.5-modaco-2x-clockworkmod' has no vibration issue.
Here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?tvgghy52k6myjd4
Thank you for solving this.

No, unzip the file and you'll find 'install-clockworkmod-windows.bat' file, connect your phone and run the .bat file

Hello,
Since i heard and readed alot about the cyanogenMod, i wanted to flash my phone to this Rom.After folowing a vid on youtube and some research. I found out that i can't flash to cyanogenMod from android 2.3.3. So my question:
How can i do this?
Grtz
Daan
I just think you can flash it with CWM, as with other ROMs.
But then there is the risk that my phone bricks? witch dont happen if u use nv flash
and if u use nvflash i get an error, and thats because im on 2.3.4
failed executing command 14 nv error 0x120000

no your phone will not brick when you really need to be unlucky, all people in here is using cwm to flash with, i think nvflash is only if you want to flash stock rom,
In CWM perform a factory reset, and to be sure, format /system /data /cache, wipe Dalvik cache, and finally flash CM7.
That had nothing to do with your installed version of android, be sure to have CWM 5.0.2.0 to have ext4 compatibility.
oke ill try that thank you for ur reactions
after trying to install cyanogenmod i have problims with prompting to test.
i did everything it sayed but he still sayed no batch found. so im not sure everything works fine, so stuck at the kdb devices.

What batch are your talking about? In CWM you choose install a zip, select your zip file of CM7, you confirm and that's it... You do it from the phone don't you? CWM is not an external app on the computer... It's a special partition called recovery that you must flash either through ROM manager if you are rooted or through nvflash if not rooted yet (see trymhansen thread in dev section and forget movies and YouTube stuff...)..

why would you need nvflash? is it the special way to root the device?

Yes, GB is hard to root by classic exploits nvflash Burns directly recovery, and then you flash super user app...

I think your should read a little here too...
well ive do things to mod andoid to make a good usb connection, i saw it in a guide . it sayed if u didnt root yet follow this guide with cwm. so i did something wrong...
i just dont get what root means and how i make a nandroid backup.
thanx for the fast reactions
the problem is the ADB its hard to set up that didnt work out for me and i need it for superoneclick cause when i try this it gets stuck at step 7 it says waiting for device
I finally hot my adb set.. when i try super one click it stops at step 7, and sayed waiting for device.. I really tried every way !
Can close this 1 problem solved, returned to froyo and then to cyanogen.
Sup People.
I recently noticed that my GPS wasnt working on CM 7.1.0.1. After searching this forum I found that quite a few people were also having the same issues so i've decided to compile this guide (all credits to OP's, i'm just putting this info in one place)...
theres not much to it to be honest, its just the information on the issue is just scattered around - plus there are probably better and more complete guides out there

This seems to be an issue only when freshly installing cm7. This is definitely a safe method.

Download radio zip above [19.25 or 20.10 as you probably have 15.31]
Put Radio .zip on root of SD card i.e not in any folders
Start ROM Manager
(ensure you have CWM 2.x.x.x)
Click Reboot into Recovery
Flash .zip from here by going to install zip from SD card
Don't forget to wipe caches first
Reboot phone by using the "reboot" option in cwm NOT by removing the battery

The process will take about 10 mins so be patient
Make sure you have sufficient battery charge and do not interrupt the flashing process.
I used the 3xeno and nejc121 method's above. Downgraded my CWM (which is only temporary if selecting through ROM manager) then flashed the 20.10 radio. 3xeno recomends flashing the 19.25 radio first to see if that works but i went straight for the 20.10 = WORKING GPS

In simple terms.
1.gain temp 2.5.0.7 cwm via Rom manager or temp update zip if your on a newer version already.
2. Flash 19.25 or/and 20.10 radio.
3. Reboot.
I have NEVER wiped anything to flash a radio as it has no influence over caches whatsoever.!!!!
Whenever I had gps issues I just flashed the 19.25 radio then test gps. Then re flash 20.10 radio. Never failed me yet. Lol.

Try using an app that triggers gps like gps test from the market. It worked 99% of the cases for me.

hi all, Just got the gnote a week ago. rooted and flashed with the rocket rom and AbyssNote kernel. Everything went ok, but until I want try out another rom.
I can get to CWM menu, but cannot choose anything from there. It just 'blink' when i pressed up or down or the home key.
I was thinking to reinstall the cwm, but realise I don't have stock kernel anymore. I don't know why cwm get corrupted, it was working fine yesterday. i would be appreciated if someone can tell me what is the best way to get the cwm working again.
many thanks in advance
I can't quite understand it myself either. I've never even heard of a recovery becoming corrupted until I got the Galaxy Note, now it's become a nightmare just trying to get my phone back...all you can do is keep flashing and keep on flashing with ODIN (Heimdall in my case). Hopefully someone else will have some words of advice, because this is a serious problem...and an incredibly frustrating one at that.

Seems like it automatically starts install some rom images.
Try to delete all the rom image or backups (backup your SD first) that you have in your sd.
But first of all try to use QuickBoot app instead the RomManager app.
It's free and you find it in Play store.
Bye

..first check if you have the stock recovery yet like Xonar says..
..second, try to download again the recovery from RomManager's menu (don't know if ics OB is supported) and retry..
If nothing happens..maybe it's better if you flash the stock V20x with the CWM already injected and then install the flashable V30B that you can easily find in the developement section.

You don’t have to search for stock recovery(probably you never find it )..I think Xonar want to know if you had already installed the Clockworkmod or not..because some time ago there where some problems to inject the CWM in the stock V30B rom.
(if you installed the V30B rom with smartflashtool you surely do not have the recovery and you must pass throught the V20x)
I wish had posted the link of the resources you need but I can’t ‘cause I am a new user too
If wrong something I hope that Xonar can correct me..

Right, but you must be sure that it has the CWM injected..or you are again at the start point
So when you are in recovery after had flashed v10 with smartflashtool..flash the .zip of V30B...

I can no longer write any custom roms to my N6. Started with PURE 3.5 but now effects any rom i try to flash. I have brought my N6 back to factory state multiple times even relocking it. Only thing I can do is Fastboot flash N6 image from google manually piece by piece. I do have working 5.01 and phone works. Roms either hang or have errors. or just write the boot.img file. TWRP works other wise i can backup and restore, I am using 2.8.3.1. I have searched all over for a fix....
There used to be some weird mounting stuff that would make roms not boot. Thought that was worked out in pure shamu 3.1 ish.
Where do the roms hang? Did you ever fix permissions using twrp? Any kind of log you can pull?

they all hang when writing to system as far as i can tell. happens regardless of Pure....from a fresh clean image of 5.0 or 5.01 i can not flash any roms. driving me nutzo....i can no longer flash pure 3.4 either but i can restore the phone from a nandroid backup i had on my pc and run Pure 3.4 just fine.

It doesn't make sense considering you also flashed back to stock. Have you also tried to flash a ROM from your PC rather than from your phone? There has to be some reasonable explanation for why it's not working.

how do you do that? the custom roms dont have system.img file like N6 image. The Pure 3.92 is in .dat format, another rom is folders. I also get checksum errors when extracting.
I also noticed in the last 24 hours there are 2 other threads with people have almost the same issues flashing roms. I think it has something to do with TWRP but no matter becuase no version works for me.

If you restore your stock recovery on your phone you could try this.
Make sure TWRP is not installed on your phone and that the stock recovery is installed and working:
Have TWRP in your platform tools folder named however you want
Then use "fastboot boot recovery 'whatever you named TWRP' "
This will boot TWRP without installed it. Then try to flash the ROM using TWRP. You can also use the"adb push" to sideload the ROM onto your phone so you can find it via TWRP.
nope did not work.....roms just hang or flash new boot.img only.
i even tried erasing recovery partion and reflashing stock than twrp 2.8.3.1......that did not work either....something is stopping TWRP from writing to system.

I assume you are also out of the return window. Well if you are unlucky or lucky (depending on how you view it) you could have an issue eventually. They will RMA for burn in, camera issues etc... The camera issue was common in the earlier production models that I had. There should be another method, I would look into it if you have time.
