No 7392... no "HTC Update"... I'm starting to think something is wrong.
Info: TMOUS HD7
Would someone happen to know what in sam hell is going on?
Same here.
Same here, I'm on T-Mobile USA too, so my only guess is T-Mobile hasn't released the update yet.
My hd7 with bell Canada was not showing any update avail. But when I plugged it into desktop, In Zune I went to phone settings then check for update and it showed up.
Sent from my T9295 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I spoke with a T-Mobile Rep yesterday (5/6/11), and he insisted that 7390 is the most current update available for T-Mobile HD7s.
That does not, however, mean that an update isn't going to be available soon...
It's like OEM Android updates. Google releases the new kernel builds to Manufacturers, then the manufacturers send them down the line to Service Providers. Once tweaked & approved, the updates become official.
Seeing how several other devices have received the updates, I'm assuming that us TMOUS HD7 users are awaiting T-Mobiles approval of the updates... one being the Certificate Security update, so I'm sure it shouldn't be much longer.
No, you just didn't Walsh your handset hope this helps

When we test our update process, we test against a known state machine. Further, as a health protection mechanism, the phone will always try to recover from an error state (as in an incomplete update), and will begin doing things to solve for the fact that it is in an unknown state. This is the reason why phones started downloading OEM updates after forcing the update via this unofficial tool.

I have no reason to "Walsh" m8... as I have Dev-Unlocked my device.
thus no HTC update for you, I did quote the reason why you didn't get the HTC update but here is the important part in-case you missed it.

OH I see what you're saying.. The HTC Update is pretty much ONLY for Non-Branded & Walshed devices.
Explains it. Thanks for clarifying, I must not have read too much into the info. My bad.
UPDATE:
Got my update finally.

I can't use any additional application, this is driving me crazy
Mind explaining a little more? Did you buy an unlocked version or one from a branded carrier? I wouldnt have thought any of these phones would have application lock outs? Could be the applications your trying to instal are not for smartphones? More info please!
finally, someone reaplied.
I guess it's application-locked problem, when i try to install apps, it's been showed "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions." on phone Screen.
PS, I bought this phone from japan. X03HT
Finally someone replied?!?!
4 hours is way fast
Same problem here
I am also having the same problem with my x03. Anyway to app unlock this thing?
Who did you buy your phones from? Directly from a carrier or independant web site?
x03?
x03HT application and SIM unlock
Can someone point me to the right tools for this phone? Bought it from Softbank in Japan. Can't seem to find the right tools to unlock application or SIM.
Thanks.
yem
I bought my X03/730 directly from the softbank store in Tokyo. I do send and received emails in Japanese as well as english.

A tool in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (pro version)
You can download it at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Yeah, VS2008 does not work.
And we need a cert. from softbank to unlock
refer to this:
I have a S6 Active that I had unlocked to use in Canada but I still haven't received the latest update that AT&T pushed out recently. Anyone know where I can find the update to download?
I think you have to be on an att network to receive the update.
Is it not possible to find the file and manually install it?
Beyond my current knowledge I'm afraid. Don't know if you'd need root to do that. AoN
Same boat. Nice to meet you.
Bought ATT Galaxy S6 active on USA, But i'm came to my country korea.
I also wouldn't get OF3 latest update via ATT OTA server up to now.
Unfortunately, we may not get latest OTA without USA. Because FOTA client seems authenticate via ATT internal APN.(its my guess, not official)
Here is ATT official announcement regarding OTA if not ATT customer.

How about your OTA error message?
Mine is displayed as "Software update interrupted"
Is it same error message with me?
i think you can find the Option: Find updates.
Does your phone choose Option: Do not automatically update?

Thank you for your guide.
Actually, I found some extra function regarding OTA Software update.
You can call this activity using Dialer. Here is special key command
Code:
*#8736364#
You can trigger Network initiate or User initiate something using this test menu.
But I think this function also would be on ATT network. If you not ATT customer, it also wouldn't get any update information and update delta binary..
Nougat is finally out for the S6 Active on AT&T!!
I'm so glad you posted this! I was wondering what this update that was taking FOREVER to download was!! Still downloading right now.

That's vBeta4. If you've got it OTA, then maybe AT&T decided it's stable enough to make it official. In any case I've already provided links to it and as soon as AT&T makes it official on their website I'll update my HOWTO thread.
So far I really like it, everything works so far, so can't really complain.

Anyone else have poor battery life after update? I've made some tweaks but it's definitely worse than before.
I wish T-Mobile wifi calling still worked...

I updated this morning. Every time I look at my lock screen and see the warning that my password exceeds four numbers I cringe. Do they really have to give this hint to someone who may find my phone?
Still no shutter speed control on the camera

Read the other threads here about how to do the Odin flash to 7.0
I got the OTA update on my phone a few weeks ago. My girlfriends phone however, despite having gotten a few ota patches is still running 6.0.1. The only difference between the phones , is she has a GoPhone sim card. could that be keeping her from it? Even Smart Switch says her phone is up to date.

Hi, you need to have a sim card from AT&T inserted so you can download the OTA, otherwise you won't be able to update to 7.0 unless you'll do it with via ODIN(computer and cable)
It seems like everything is for the Exynos version of this phone. Just got my Note 8 today for a steal practically new for only $100, but the software bloat seems horrible. Just curious if there is any Lineage or Samsung based ROM's that would be a good starting place? All the late reviews in 2019 and here in 2020 says to install an aftermarket ROM on it and you got yourself a great device. Phone details below.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950USQS7DTA5 on Sprint in New Mexico USA.

The Sprint store did the factory reset for us, but given that I know my way around these devices I thought I would do my own Factory reset and start from scratch. My last Galaxy phone was the original, so I am sure things have changed since then and wanted to double check with XDA before making any mistakes. Phone currently sits 100% stock.
Any advice on a debloated ROM at the least? Or something else would be great too. Google just sends me here and all I seem to see is N950F devices, but I plan to keep on researching before I flash anything on this device, lol. EDIT: Just saw the US carriers Pie thread too for this device, and that seems to offer a pre-debloated rom.
EDIT: My guess is that there isn't much you can do with this device in the way of custom roms?

Your guess would be correct. The phone is bootloader locked that means no roms like N950F version..

Thank you for the information. Yeah I figured that was the case. Oh well, at least there is a debloated Pie rom. Maybe I can do a somewhat decent job of customizing it. But yeah I was hoping for 3rd party kernels and or LineageOS love. At least it's a better phone than the Motorola G6 that it is replacing, lol. Thanks again...
Odd one here, I'm seeing lots of folks posting about getting updates but I'm not receiving any.
Trying to manually check for updates in settings just says I'm on latest version...

Different region firmware not reccomended to flash unless you know how to unbrick it in the event it happens.
Also the fact that you may trip knox if u brick ur device and do other stuff to revieve it.

It is OXM firmware so its like universal.
You cannot trip knox with stock firmware.
I'll read through but will probably hold off on flashing as I don't fully understand the different region versions.
Want to understand it a bit better first so I'll read up on it and bide my time to see if the updates get pushed out to me soon.
Fingers crossed they do!
Cheers.
