I really love LG keyboard, so I installed It to my LG Optimus 2x running latest cyanogen nightly, but when I try to write something it crash!
I rebooted the phone, but same error occur.
Do you have the same issue?
If not what have you done?
Thanks for your support

I had these errors too. You need to change your input method to the LG keyboard. That stopped the constant fc stuff for me. Flashing the LG Keyboard apparently ****s up the stock one.
I changed the input method and i had fc errors from gingerbread keyboard!!using and trying to type with lg jeyboard i got android.keyboard something stopoed working!!

Is there any chance to have LG keybord works great with latest cyano nightly build ? I have always fc when I try to use lg keybord !!
Please anyone can do it ???

Hi
I have noticed that a lot of people have complained about HTC_IME don't save the settings and words not being saved to the dictionary, as I love this keyboard it's a must that everything works... so I thought if we can try fix this problem, on my Nexus S it works great but on the 2X like I said, problems.... can it be kernel related?
I'm on stock LG ROM v10a and do not have any issues with HTC_IME. my settings were saved and words were also saved to the dictionary.

So maybe the problem may lies in the kernel? Have u tried to reboot the device and check as whether the settings and words are saved? Many of us can save but after a reboot or kill keyboard to apply certain changes all the words will be back to the original state...

don't know man... :/ maybe with CyanogenMod 7 it will work again, otherwise try the Smart Keyboard Pro, it's exactly the same as HTC_IME.
Which version of HTC IME are people using? I've just installed an old one I had and it's very pixelated... Anyone got something a little better?
thanks
Hey guys,
I've coded a tiny app to reboot your Optimus 2x or G2x into recovery mode without holding any buttons. Best thing is... it's free ;-) It doesn't install Clockworkmod, so if you want an app for that, check out Paul's paid app for that (Which does it on the O2x only)
I'd be really happy if you'd tap the ad displayed in the application, but you don't need to.
Yes, the app is ugly, fugly, disturbing, etc. but hey, it works :-D
It's to be found in the Android Market here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.m...sma.lgo2xreboot, on AndroidPIT.com http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/marke...recovery-reboot and in the attachment of course!
Update: Implented a check if the app is runnning on an LG Optimus 2x or G2x.
Update #2: Made the app less fugly, thanks to fitsnugly.
Update #3: SU660 compatibility
I also attached the source code, if you're interested.
Thanks for the application, especially for the source.
Btw it wont work on [email protected] Editon ROM. ro.product.name returns "Optimus 2x" on that ROM.

That ROM should change the name, since its an unusual name for the device .

The ROM developer should fix that then, the other ro.product values are either too generic, or P990. This app should work on SU660 phones too, so lge_star is the best solution IMO. And I don't want to leave out the check, because writing on mmcblk0p3 on other phones could harm important data. ;-)
Nice one, works like a charm
Thanks, works great
thank you very much maxisma....
hehe I installed this 10 minutes ago and now I notice the thread and about ro.product.name just go into system and edit the build.prop, change the ro.product.name to lge_star then reboot and the program works fine

With this tool, my Optimus 2X SU660 now can reboot to CWM. Before I can't enter with the combine keys. Of course, I need to use Root Explorer to edit build.prop file: change to ro.product.name=lge_star ( from SU660 ).

HTC_Ime for MCR, STOCK & CM
i can provide you update.zip with themed HTC_Ime from Gimpsta Kitchen (Clicker.apk + libt99.so included), install in CWM recovery as usual
just a little themed , but i like it this way
It will install to system/app (and possibly overwrite HTC_Ime from MCR Rom, when you cooked it in your ROM, no need to delete first (I use same name))
If you like to style your own keyboard : login at Gimpsta Kitchen, create, download, unzip, and rename apk.file to : "HTC_IME_hi22.apk", then put in my update.zip
Gimpsta kitchen : http://www.gimpsta.com/themer/main.php (you have to register, but it´s fast & free)
be sure to select "v27-optimus-2x ..." version !

sorry, i can´t try, but you can
if it´s not working, you can delete "Clicker_hi.apk" & "HTC_IME_hi22.apk" from system/app to remove ...
or use my Remove-Zip in recovery :

!! but don´t use this if you have no other keyboard installed, otherwise you will reboot WITHOUT keyboard !!
Little issue : "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.gimpsta.com" ... too many people ?

Hi Devs,
i've just integrated with success the keyboard from leaked LG rom.
To let all users/devs profit, here a short explanation how to do this:
You need to copy following files from leaked rom:
1.) libautohan_jni.so
2.) libjni_xt9input.so
3.) libxt9core.so
4.) usr/xt9 from usr folder
5.) AIME.apk from app folder
after flashing your upated rom, reboot and choose from keyboards in settings
the LG keyboard and all is fine.
Tested only on my gingerbread rom, and it works - i dont guarantee that this
would work on Froyo roms.
thanks for reading
Thanks a ton for the tutorial ;-)

There are not only music libs. Whole audio subsystem is modified by LG to work with FM in another way that in CyanogenMod. So to change libaudio (main device specified library) we should change too much other libs and still can't be sure that it will work.

Why is everyone so lazy? If we devs were so lazy there wouldn't be any roms or kernels avaliable. Just take the files from the leaked rom and push them to your system. Is that too hard?

Yes, I am indeed!
Sorry for the misinformation!
In my defense: the line break is here exactly after the "non" (xda app, dpi 190), which makes the next line say "ics-roms" hehe
There doesn't exist any version for GB.
Wouldn't really be worth the effort to make that happen IMO, as the long awaited ICS update seems pretty close.
