Earth - Nook Color General

Anyone have the new google earth apk? I'm running rooted 1.2. Earth doesn't appear in Market for some reason.
Thanks!

I download it and it's great!!! It has got 3D buildings and this new update is maked for tablets. If you don't see Earth, you have one of this problems:
1. Google don't support your country yet
2. Google Earth wont work on your device and you don't see it Market,
but I have solution:
Download Market Enabler feom Market, Applanet or Internet and enable all apps in market.

Hi,
Did you have any network problem? Earth tell me i have no network and close itself..
i'm running CM7.
Thank you

I received a Goggle Earth update yesterday, installed, and it would not start. I used Titanium and restored Earth back and now works fine. Oh, and I even powered-down and restarted the NC before restore.
NookColor 1.1; Autonooter 3.0.0..
Edit (add):
Titanium Backup did not close on restore of Earth. I had to power-down and restart my NC to reset Titanium.
I blogged this on the Android Google Earth blog. It appears that this is an issue with other devices running Android 2.1.

[Q] Cannot download from Market after rooting [SuperOneClick]

I just used SuperOneClick v1.5.1 to root my HTC Hero CDMA, which rooted the device fine.
Now, I'm trying to install ROM Manager from the Market, but it hangs on "Downloading" and then it goes to "Download paused".
I can't update any other apps either.
I cleared my Market cache, uninstalled the Market update, and signed out and back into Google Talk, but no luck...still can't download/update apps.
Anybody have some ideas? Or is the Market just paralyzed tonight?
You probably have already come across this but the market is experiencing an outage.
Even though the markets out I've been experiencing this since I rooted last week!

I was having this issue as well. I Read another post that said Google Talk was linked to the Market. Several could not download from the Market unless they were logged into GTalk. I had downloaded Titanium Pro and had frozen a number of apps, GTalk being one of them. I activated (thawed) the app and now I am able to download once again. Maybe this will help.

Missing applications from my apps in market

I own a nexus one, and after upgrading to gingerbread, some applications which are installed such as dolphin browser and soundhound are installed but are not listed as installed on the market and thus I don't get update notifications for them.
I tried to clear data on the market app to re sync the installed apps but it had been disabled on gingerbread
Can anyone shed some light please?
Thanks in advance,
Mark Cachia

Do they at least appear on the market?
Yes, I even re-installed the apps, still not showing in my apps though.

You might be able to use Titanium Backup's "Market Doctor" function to re-establish the application links to the Market, though I believe that requires root.
Give it some times, they'll probably come back on it's own.
If not use Market Doctor like suggested, that might or might not solve it.
It has happened to me here and there and usually fix itself.
Another thing you can try is download an app, any app (something free that can be delete afterward) and see if that bring the missing apps back.

Apps not showing in Market 'my apps'

In continuation to the minor problems with my new IS, the first being Bluetooth transfers restarting the phone, (here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071021);
another issue am having is with respect to apps in the my apps section of market which allows updated.
Since this is a new phone, i had some apps transferred from other handsets and installed, rather than downloading them all over again.
None of the apps are showing in market to update, not a single one!
i have read about this in other posts, where clearing the cache seems to solve the problem, but it does not help in my case.
any idea why this could be happening & any possible solutions?
The only solution i think is a firmware update...
Depending on the apps, they may not be compatible with 2.2, what are they?

Regular apps like astro, angry birds, barcode scanner.
just a few off the top of my head.
the apps do work, and if there is an update available, the app prompts for the same when opened.
however, in the last tab of market, which displays all the installed apps & those which have an update, not even a single app is shown except google maps...
Are you rooted?

could you be so kind to dump your build.prop?
it sounds it got fked on some way...
@dfd9999
Nope, no root, no changes what so ever.
Stock IS
@Hawkysoft
errr... could you kindly explain how i should do that?
Titanium Back up can fix market links… but I believe you have to be rooted for it to work but I may be wrong, its worth a shot!

just uninstall the last app you got from the market.
if the method from lgm_dev is not working:
try to clear data/cache from the market. Settings->apps->manage->(tab all)-> market and clear the data there
Index should be rebuilded when it is started again.
IncS is my first Android phone and i have just got Root access. But after i flashed a new Rom and log on to Android Market with my Google account, there is only the apps i have paied for, and not all the free apps i have downloaded befor the flash.
Is it realy only the paied apps it rembers?

Google Market: App association?

Hey all...
The Google market keeps a record of my paid apps, and they get re-downloaded when I reflash my nook.
I have a whole mess of current free apps from the Google market backed up, I can installed them but they don't re-associate themselves with the Google market app...even though that's where they came from.
I'd liked to get them back in the 'My Apps' tab of the Google Market for uupdate notifications...short of finding and re-downloading them all, is there another way?

[Q] Google Earth on Galaxy Note?

Have any of you been able to successfully install the Google Earth app on the Galaxy Note? I put the APK in and installed it, it opens but freezes on the opening screen...
Works fine on my Nexus though. If I go to the Android Market it shows that it is not available in my country so I cant download it. Strange that it works on my Nexus, though Google Earth was pre-installed in it.
Works fine for me.... I'm in the U.S. just downloaded it and played around to make sure.... I think I'm keeping it on here!

I'm not in the U.S.A. and I'm thinking it's more of an Android Market geographic restriction, and not hardware related. I have a Nexus that has it pre-installed and works perfectly.
I'm going to give the apk install another try and post back with results.
EDIT- update. installed it, but again, same results. laggy, and my phone was getting insanely hot after about 10 minutes of trying to use it. uninstalled.
Works fine here (Norway).
Works fine here in UK

Hoi, and also works fine here in Germany. Install, Start, and the blue (here are you point) shows my home place.
Wow, seems like I'm the only one with the issues.
Did you guys get Google Earth straight from the market, or was it installed manually?
Google earth working fine here ln Australia, I got mine from market
I could never get it to obtain a GPS lock. German imported version in the US. Every other GPS app works fine. Strange.. I'll try again - deleted after frustration weeks ago.
Works fine here in India installed with the market enabler there's probably just something wrong with you're apk
i don't want to root my phone, so i can't use market enabler.
i tried installing the apk file again (google earth 6.1) and same thing. it installs fine, i am able to open the app itself.
however, it will stay on the opening screen (earth in space with stars) with the rotating circle for minutes, then finally run but very laggy.
i'll try another apk and see if there's any improvement.
EDIT / UPDATE: tried another apk and now everything is smooth as butter. thanks!
