Hellow,
I wile back i installed CWM but did not install a other rom just yet.
Yesterday my phone recieved a rom update. When i want to install the update, the phone reboots into CMW, there i cannot execute the downloaded update.
Then i taught just let it be, so i rebooted. But now there is always the message in the status bar saying there is a update available en i just cannot get rid of it.
Anyone knowing how the install the/a offcial rom update with CMW?
Or howto remove the annoying message in the statusbar?
ps, i aint got a external SDCard just yet.

so I recently screwed up while flashing Doc's latest ROM. Bricked my phone and had to go to the service center to get it fixed. Did not have the 3 button mode enabled.
Got it fixed on the spot and I want to get the ROMs installed again.
But now i have a new series of issues. I cant seem to get CWM installed.
ROM Manager give me a "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"
When i startup ROM Manager, it states "Superuser was not found at "/system/xbin/su"."
Installed Superuser and no diff. i get the above message in ROM Manager.
And I get a "failed" message when i boot into recovery to flash update.zip taken from here. http://www.mmus.us/forum/showthread.php?t=13957
What's wrong?

If it helps, I got it from the Samsung Service Center @ PS(singapore)
update.
Managed to get root access thru this

but still cant get CWM installed. placed the file in the phone, changed it to update.zip. and it "failed" to install.
Try getting the free Rom manager from market and patch up the update.zip from there.
I deleted the update.zip. then reboot into recovery thru Quickboot. then ran the update.zip with errors again.
3e is a *****.
Can't install CWM on Android 4.0.3 Evo 3D
I had updated my HTC Evo 3D OTA then unlocked it using HTC Method. Unlock success than I flashed recovery with CWM Shooter. Flash success but when I load recovery, the phone just boot up normally. When I open ROM Manager it says:
You must root your phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found at "/system/bin/su" or "/system/xbin/su". Use Google Search on your computer to find instruction to root your phone.
Hi guys I'm sure one of you could help me,
I rooted my phone ages to using unrevoked and now I want to update to the official 2.2 update OTA but when I download the update my phone gives me an error (error 7) when I try to install it. It keeps going into ClockworkMod and trying to install the update via that.
Is there a way of completely restoring my phone back to factory settings? I've tried selecting this option in the phone's settings but ClockworkMod is still installed. I want to be able to remove ClockworkMod completely and start again so I can update to the official Froyo.
Can anyone help?

I don't care about having my phone rooted so this was the best option!
Hope this helps some people in my situation.
Just bought the phone and Dev Unlocked it and Rooted it, after abit of failure I managed to root it. Phone worked fine I tried to install a mod and that's when I thought If there's any errors I can just delete everything and install but that wasn't the case it would stay frozen, I tried aroma manager it wasn't showing much files so I thought I would try and install the stock rom again that didn't work I then tried another rom and just been booting to CWM the sd won't mount so I been sideloading these files. :crying:
Before flashing the stock ROM you need to relock the phone first.
I just managed to get the phone working again
But a problem I have is that certain apps will fail to install on my phone like root explorer I would get a message saying Couldn't install on USB or SD card. Is this due to a partition or some other type of error? I had more or less the same problem on my S2 when I went back to stock. I later installed CM10 and the problem didn't occur, would I need to install another rom or is there a slightly easier fix for this?
Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue updating my wife's rooted and unlocked HTC One.
I flashed stock recovery for the process to go smoothly but the update is always stuck at roughly 25%. I switch off the phone, it tries again and gets stuck again at 25% with a red mark.
I tried deleting the update and downloading it again through the GUI without luck.
I suspected 3rd party mods like the battery percentage hack, but it still didn't work after reverting it.
P.S. I also have an HTC One, had an issue updating because I had CWM, but the update worked like a charm when I flashed stock recovery.
Any clues?
Bump
1. where are you flashing the update from? - is it a zip file or is it the one the pone received OTA?
2. Which recovery are you using?
3. Which Rom are you on?
I have stock rom with custom recovery (TWRP). This morning my G2 download a Verizon OTA automatically but I postponed the installation until tomorrow morning. How do I prevent this from automatically installing? If it installs, will it cause boot loop since I have TRWP? If it does, how do I stop it? Thanks.
Same issue
I'm having the same problem, i was asked to install a new software version this morning on my rooted G2 without a custom rom. I delayed install but don't dare do it because of custom recovery. What should we do?
I'll tell you what you shouldn't do is accidentally click to have it install. I'm stuck in Recovery now. Any recommendations on what I should flash? I can still push to it through ADB. I was on the last OTA but rooted with recovery.

Have you tried freezing the System Updates MUC task using something like TIBU? I have that (along with other programs) frozen and I don't get the notice.
Try long pressing the notification, from there you can disable the notification.
