[Q] How to download apk from nook web browser -> SD? - Nook Color General

I was able to get Verygreen's CM7 installation on a 1gb SD card working from SD boot. However, I'm now trying to install some APK via the web, but it complains "No SD Card" available. When I try to goto Storage Settings > Mount SD Card, I get an error saying SD card is damaged (weird since I havn't done anything w/but install CM7). Total internal storage reported is 525MB, I assume the remainder are in a secondary partition for data..
Any insight how I can get the SD card working?

BUMP? Is my only alternative to install to internal memory in order to use the SD card :??

Hi, I am not sure if this is the answer, but I looked into Verygreen's original thread:
"up to 1G cards gets: system of ~300M and data of the rest of space. No FAT partition"
Possibly that's the issue. I have a 8G card and been running CM7 off of it. Yesterday I installed the UMS utility apk from this forum by using Opera, downloading it to a folder, and then simply tapping it in a file manager.

Maciej

External SD Card problem after flashing to CM7

Hello,
i just updated the Cyanogenmod 7 on my SGS.
After the installation, i wanted to play some music from my external sd card,
but the card was not available.
How can i mount the external sd card?
I tried to mount it via recovery mod, but it didnt work.
What else can i do, to see and use the things on the sd card?
Hopefully you noted that the external sd card is found under /emmc.
You have to configure your music app and point it to the correct path.
Good luck.
Ok i found it.
But when i want to update my navigon map data, the program show me a message, that the internal sd card is not available.
I avoid this situation, by copying the old map data to /external_sd instead of /emmc... But how can i handle it with new map data in future?
maybe you can use gscript for change route

[Solved]CM10 SD card confusion

I have just installed the official CM10 nightly from http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p990
First of all used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975274
Took me a while to find the external sd card, it is listed as storage/sdcard1 but I can't access any internal sd card, I assumed it would be listed as storage/sdcard0 but clicking that just gives me an empty folder.
When I attach the phone to the PC only the external sd card shows up. CWM-recovery can't mount the sd card either (I have tried with CWM6 and CWM5).
I tried mounting the sd card from "settings-device-storage" and it starts to do it and then stops.
I could maybe live with this but I use Sygic for a satnav and that is telling me there is no sd card present, so I can't use it.
edit
it's ok now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34086129&postcount=30

[Q] Inaccessible internal SD card; CWM sees it - how to save data?

Hi fellow members,
I'm facing with inaccessible internal sd card problem since today morning. Everything worked fine, phone was a bit laggy so restarted it. After that, usual SD card check run and I keep getting "Damaged SD card - SD card is damaged. Try reformatting it." message External 32GB SD card works well.
Titanium Backup does not see the internal sd card anymore. Tried Root Explorer Lite, it does not see it either.
I have been using this rom for 2 months now without problems:
[ROM][GT-N7000][JB][4.2.1] Official CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies
When I boot to Recovery, ClockWorkMod does see both internal and external SD cards... Tried to hook up to PC while being in recovery to save data from internal card to PC, however it does not see the phone there.
Questions are:
how to fix internal sd without reformatting it?
how to save internal sd card's content to PC (either from recovery)?
what do you suggest?
Thank you in advance for your help.
ps: I do not have AT&T version of Note1, but the international.
Using this app right now for copying internal SD card content to external SD.

This app is simply amazing! Could select the whole internal sd card content and paste it to a folder on external sd card IN RECOVERY MODE. Now have to figure out how to fix the inaccessible inner sd.

[Q] Make the SD the "default" memory

Hi, I have a Moto G 2014 with Stock 5.0.2 rooted, and I bought a 32GB SD Card a few days ago. The thing is that everything is still going to the internal memory, instead of the SD (photos, downloads, etc.), so I want to know if it's a way to make everything write on the SD card without messing up the phone (I heard I can mount SD in /sdcard changing init.rc but I don't want to do that). I also want to move my WhatsApp chats to the SD too, hehehehe (WhatsApp data is in the internal :'c)
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
For the photos and videos part, you can select from the camera application if you want to store them in the internal memory or on the SD card. For applications I think they are installed in the internal memory by default but you can move them after installation on the SD card by going to settings -> apps -> touch app -> move to SD card. To change the default installation location you need the android SDK installed on your PC and adb and then to edit a file. But I do not recommend this since the SD card is not accessible while the phone is connected to the PC. This will make applications that always run to work improperly(widgets, Facebook, etc. might generate a lot of errors because of it).
I think it's a Xposed module for that.

if you're rooted then try link2sd from play store. you need to have an ext partition on your sd card for this to work.
if you are not rooted then you will have to manually create symlinks to the files on the sd card.

Better try Link2SD. The procedure to turn your external SD to internal storage causes a lot of trouble in most cases.
There are also scripts that link the possible apps and libraries automatically to the SD card when installing them.

How to SD swap and get SD card access?

I am currently on CyanogenMod12.1(Stable Release 2). By default it stores everything in internal memory. I want to get full access to sd along with installing apps to sd. Can anyone help?
i'm having a similar issue, i'm using cyanogen also, and when i try to move apps to my external sd instead of the "move app to sd memory" option it says "move app to usb storage" so i can't move my apps to my sd card :/
