Hey guys, the title says it all. What's the best IM app, and what's the best IRC app? I've experimented around a bit and settled on Meebo and AndChat, but they could both be wayyyyyy better.
Any better suggestions?

Look at and chat for a I RC client, it support honetcomb. Only been using this for few times, but it looks good

im usin IMO.Beta for IM and AndChat for IRC
I'm liking trillian on my xoom. Don't use irc though

More friends the merrier for some. I don't get it. It seems that for some its a high school contest but some people on here are cool and I wouldn't mind.

Where are you from? Everyone where I live has it. I sometimes wish they didn't. So, you're lucky in a way.

I don't think you understood me, or maybe I'm interpreting your response incorrectly. Everyone I know has a Facebook/Twitter. I'm the only one who doesn't have accounts on either.

I had a myspace....I found it very boring.

Best I've heard is that you can manage you queue on the Xoom, but as soon as you go to play a video it will pop an error message.
Really hope to see a working version of Netflix and the HBOgo app real soon for the Xoom.
I guess ill be the guinea pig.
Edit: Tried the zip and it wouldnt install... hmm
I tried both versions. The first version claimed to have a network error right away. The second let me queue things up but got the network error when I tried to play the movie. Oh well.

I agree there are many problems with it actually. But I dont think there is something better this time.

The "Facebook" app you find in market is already the official one.
Use the darned browser.

The only thing that comes close to the apps is Facebook's mobile site http://touch.Facebook.com that is designed to be friendly to touchscreen phones.

Really digging a live chat function with the huddle. If someone types in the chat it vibrates and hits the status bar. Much better than andchat and irc!

Huddle is awesome. I've been waiting for a good group chat, and google delivered.
I dont know if G+ has the power to kill facebook. it has potential to be as great or better than FB, I definitely prefer it over FB. FB is a great service and i dont see it disappearing ever, much like i dont foresee Google disappearing.
The only issue i had to look for a while is the chat-function. But after 1 - 2 Minutes you'll get it.
G+ has some really nice features and works perfect on Nexus S!

I have discovered two bugs already. swype kb don't work when typing a comment or reply to one and uploading to g+ from gallery force closes the app

I tested uploading from Gallery myself and no app-crash or something like that. I'll try it again today and will give you some feedback.
