[MOD] Radio N_01.92.00R - Atrix 4G Android Development

Here is the radio from the French 2.1.1 sbf.
Download it here.
Works the same as 1.87 already posted.
Cheers!
EDIT: Apparently there are two versions in this sbf, this would be 1.92 for baseband, although 1.86 in the codegroup5 file.

Will this fix the wi-fi drop issue?

would like to know as well. im probably flashing the french sbf tonight anyways so il try it out and report back. the wifi issue is driving me nuts.

Never had that issue as such, sure if I am several rooms over from my router, but other than that, no problems. So not sure if it fixes it or not.
Cheers!

NF! you are supposed to know the answer to everything!

What are the benefits of flashing this instead of 1.87?

Please list details what phones will this work with whats the difference is the upload uncapped?

the radio is from the french sbf that works only on bell so im assuming that this will only work on bell as well.

Hard to say, just provided the radio for folks to try if they are having problems.
Another radio with unlocked uploads, version difference is 0.01, probably the same radio for most intents and purposes. Always possible some carrier specific change will be the difference for someone.
This sbf has only been tested on Bell, but like the other radio, it's probably no biggy to get it to work with ATT, just need to use the rdl1 and rdl3 from an ATT sbf.
And no, I don't have all the answers, lol.
Cheers!

Incorrect, the french sbf is not for AT&T but the radio that nfhimself is cross-carrier.

Nah I haven't tried switching any radios. I'm on gingeblur 3.1 with the 1.83 sbf update. Though I heard if you update the sbf way instead of the ota that everything updates except the bootloader but with the ota? the bootloader actually updates too. I wonder if theres any reason to update the bootloader or just leave it the way it is?? Oh well thats going off topic anyway. But still would be nice to know...

You guys still get 3G data disconnect with some audio streaming apps with this radio or 1.83?

That means that I could flash this to my At&t Atrix?

You should be able to, but without an ATT atrix I can't guarantee it will work since I haven't tried it.
Cheers!

Can anyone Provide ATT shipping radio N_01.77.15P or the newest one if thats not the one just need the radio by it self so i can flash it and dont lose data. Flashed the N_01.87.00R couz ppl said it would increase speeds but speeds are the same and phone acually gets hotter then before under heavy use

Best Radio for Andriod

I was looking into whether some of my GPS problems were due to the radio I was using.
I'm using the last official Sprint radio (which I believe was 3.35). I have seen that some people have been using 3.42.50.
Two questions, first how do I determine what radio I am using if I have android on the NAND and second, would updating the radio improve GPS reception?
Most people use 3.42.50 with AGPS Fix(Assisted GPS) using data. Search vogue agps. Its a process that you will need to do using windows mobile. It will give you gps locks in 5 to 15 sec rather than 30 sec to a minute. You can update the radio without doing the fix. Im not sure how to determine your radio with android. sorry. Not saying there isnt a way
EDIT: Sorry agps is verizon only
Most people in the WinMo forums say 3.42.50 improves reception, some say it doesn't.
I'm on Sprint and I use 3.42.50. Been using it for a long while now, certainly haven't had issues. It's the one I use when doing development on the GPS driver.
honestly after messing with the radio in WM (everyone claiming better results with the bell radio .45, so I had to try it), and not noticing any favorable differences, I ended up back with my factory vzw 3.37.78 radio, which "seems" to work the best for me, yet like I said, almost no difference was noted.
That being said, android "should" not be any different in terms of radio.. as I'm still on the same vzw radio with great gps results running android.
NAND with mssmison's 2.1 build (currently)
xv6900 from verizon (vogue)
** same results with other builds as well
edit: I did not seem to find any negatives to the "upgraded" radio either.. so it doesn't hurt to try, but don't expect the world, as it might not change anything
You're on sprint so you do not need to worry about the aGPS fix either, that's only for vzw vogues

I think U.S Cellular locks gps too, you just don't hear about it in here. I have never noticed a difference between 3.37.78,3.42.30 or 3.42.50. I run 3.42.50 cus I'm cool like that! lol
So, is the only way to upgrade the radio to reflash winmo? I found the .nbh but it wouldn't flash the normal way.

touché! I did not know that about us cellular..
so yeah, what he said..
edit: I've never flashed a radio without using the "radio rom" with WM 6.1 from a carrier... BUT it is possible to flash the radio only, you just might spend more time looking for the .nbh you need to flash..
I recommend just flashing the stock bell wm 6.1 rom to flash the radio, making sure to not let customizations run, then back to android
I'm running 3.42.30 from Sprint.
I never experienced any problems with this version and as they always say. If it ain't broke.. Don't fix it.

Who's your carrier?
The radio you should run has nothing to do with the carrier. All these radios are vogue compatible. The only thing you need is a gps ready radio.
Here is the 3.42.50, 3.42.30, radio only nbh's. These Radio's are gps ready and are not carrier specific
These are radio only roms designed to be flashed from bootloader from sd card and doesn't require a hard reset. Copy VOGUIMG.nbh to root of fat32 micro sd card and place phone in bootloader and it will run.

Note that these aren't compatible with SDHC cards or the RUU. Just clarifying in case somebody was gonna try.
I'm using 3.42.40. It seems better at holding sats than .50. the .50 version is very "jumpy" when watching a GPS test app.

negative, he was stating that you could not use a SDHC to flash the radio
I never heard anything about sdhc limitations. The only thing I heard was in order to flash from sd it needed to be under 2 gb.

Need Radio Help

Hello,
My name is Brian, I'm a member here obviously.... Had the username BFielding a while back, registered in 2007 if I remember correctly, but can't access or retrieve password for that account, different email now, so now I'm BFielding80...
Heres my problem... I can't get SH!T for help on this site, maybe because it's so overloaded, or maybe some a$$hole said dont help this person.... IDK
All I know is I ask a question and they RARELY get answered.... I'm at the point I'LL ****1N PAY U TO ANSWER MY QUESTION, I'VE BEEN ASKING THE SAME [email protected] QUESTION LONG ENOUGH...
I need radio help. I'm rooted, I run all the ROMs, always Froyo based.... I've never updated my radio from what it came with.... I have radio 32.26.00.24H_4.04.00.03_2
I haven't updated because I don't want to kill my AT&T 3g.... I've read that the TMo Froyo radio will kill my AT&T 3G so thats why I left my radio alone.... But now I'm reading that the newer radios are compatible either way, so I want to upgrade it.
I know I can go back if it does kill my 850/1900, but I would rather someone to just please just recommend me a radio as well as link, I'll adb it myself...
I need a radio for best 3G and battery life would be a plus, but 3G is more important, in my area I drop to edge frequently...
THE PERSON WHO HELPS ME WILL RECEIVE $10 US DOLLARS VIA PAYPAL
Thanks,
Brian
Well, I don't want your money but you should be fine flashing this new radio (32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04). Some people say they get improved battery life and some don't. Most seem to get better reception.

There is where you will get the newest radio image, it is identical to the one found in the Desire 2.2 update. You do not have to update HBOOT if you do not want to, though I could be wrong on that one, though I didn't have to when I did.
If you do not want this version of the radio as some people have trouble with it you can flash the radio that was uploaded by enomther:

So there are two 2.2 radios you could flash. The newer one does give you better reception though, I use the 4.06 one though, if you were curious.

The ROM shouldn't affect your reception to my knowledge. You may have different APNs set and that could cause issues but even that is a stretch.

you should not see any major difference between the two radios when it comes to battery life. i've been using 5.08 since it came out, i have a much more stable signal and battery life is the same for me.
you can also downgrade ur radio whenever you want... just flash the old radio through recovery... you'll be ok
Fastboot is, IMO, the most reliable way to flash a radio. I would rather not leave a brickable upgrade/downgrade up to a script, but that's just my paranoia kicking in. lol.

[MOD] Bell OTA GB Radio N_01.77.33P

Created a CWM zip with the Bell OTA GB radio and successfully flashed it.
if you use this feel free to let me know if it works for you.
Thanks to NFHimself as I believe it was his leaked radio zip (correct me if I am wrong as I can't find the thread I got it from) that I simply updated.

Just installed it over Alien ROM. Download speeds are comparable to .30P, upload speeds are a bit better. One noticeable improvement though is that it takes less time to achieve a data connection when the phone wakes up.

I believe it's because the ATT baseband version has been optimized to work with the ATT towers.
For sweets and giggles I flashed this on my phone running CM7 Pre Beta 4 on AT&T and I am getting .5mbps faster download and upload all around.
*NOTE*
Seeing as how we all live in different areas of the world everyone's results are going to differ tremendously. What works for me might be sweeter for someone else. So this is just a little word to the wise.
I am NOT telling anyone to flash this on their phone. I am simply saying IF you decide to flash it, you'll most likely get way different results than I did.
It's not my fault nor the guy who made this thread if you sweet your sweet up

I haven't done extensive testing but when I first flashed this the reception at home was MUCH improved. Never ran any speed tests to get numbers.
Here at work where signal is quite poor due to radio equipment my signal is also quite a lot better. Speed tests were great from a relatively dead zone in the office too. Awesome!
I'm using a Bell Atrix on the Rogers network.

The temperature's been fine but I haven't been paying a close eye. If it were anything out of the ordinary I'd pick up on it though.
You can flash a different radio if this isn't working out. N_01.11.30P is fantastic as well, but I think this may edge it out. If I'm not mistaken it sounds like the voice quality of calls have improved by quite a bit.

I just flashed this radio after i posted my question. Reception was never an issue for me anyways, so don't know if it has changed. I played HD game for a bit and same result as others, my phone's temp went up to 40 C in less than 10 minutes. I have not seen any radio which can fix this stupid heating problem. With Stock Froyo, never had to worry about temperature issue at all, ever since I have flashed different ROMS and kernels and radios, I haven't found any which is as good as the stock bell froyo.
Voice quality seems clearer and download speed seems a lil higher though.
I just got off the phone with my wife and this call quality has definite, definitely improved.
I talked to her at work in a relative dead zone and the call was quite clear as well. Thanks for sharing this radio!!

Need Help Please Please Please

Hello
Just put my N1 back to Gingerbread 2.3.6 and now I cannot make or receive calls or send messages. My sim card is working fine because I have taken it out of my N1 and have used it in my other back up phone with no trouble. I have also taken my son sim card out of his phone and put it into my N1 and still get the same thing.
When the sim card is in the N1 and the phone boots up, it says Emergency calls only up in the notification area. When I try to go to the key pad, and dial a number, I get an error message stating Mobile Network Not Available. Not sure why this is. My account is up to date and is registered on the network according to ATT when I call them.
Anyone who can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate. Thank you so much.
Check your apn settings. Search if you don't know how.

You flashed a TMOBILE radio to your AT&T device... flash the original radio back and you should be all good to go.

Can you please tell me where I can get the ATT one? This where I got the stock rom from. Can you please help me? Is this not the right one? The one below from the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312540
i dont kn ow what he means... it is the same radio. the link you posted is the right thing you need to flash. if you followed the directions and the bootloader actually flashed it, i dont see how there can be any problems, i think maybe a hardware issue? try cleaning the Sim slot or something?
You might have posted the same with a tiny bit less useless headline.
First question: do you have TMO or AT&T N1 version?
In any case, disregard the "wrong radio" answer, it's wrong. The radios are the same. The APNs are also not the culprit, so disregard that too. The phone doesn't lie - you don't have cellular connection, and you need to find the reason for it.

There are no different radio firmwares for AT&T and T-Mobile to flash, they use exactly the same firmware. And don't start arguing, because you're wrong. Maybe you should check out the wiki first..
The only difference between the two are the radio frequencies they use, but that has nothing to do with firmware version (in case of our Nexus One).

You can disagree till the end of the world, you're obviously wrong, and I wrote half of the damn Wiki.

Yeah yeah. When you manage to find a "T-MO radio", let me know.

Nah i'm just kiddin you bro. But i srsly read somewhere that there was radio difference.
There isn't, as there aren't different radios (baseband builds) to begin with. The same OTA/PASSIMG firmware update applies to both TMO and AT&T phones in exactly the same way, and this firmware contains baseband update - directly from Google. So you won't find any provider-specific radios. The only thing is that Korean N1 has a newer radio, since it had a newer build release. And this radio also works for both.

[Q] phone internet speed question

I am trying to see if maybe its my phone radio or wifi antenna is not working correctly. I flashed the latest radio and doesn't seem to be helping either. on 4glte I am getting 1.44mbs for download.and on my wifi I am getting 3.61mbs for download. I have nothing else connected to my wifi. Wondering if maybe I should Ruu my phone and take it into best buy and have them look at it or give me a new one.

Do u have another device that is able to test the 4G or WiFi? Did u update profile and prl?
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Yeah I was about to ask the same thing.
Also, have you just done a straight stock flash, then update PRL? None of that should effect your WiFi though, I would test with another device..
Yes I have tested a computer, iPhone, and ipad and all get iver 20mbs+ on same wifi. Thats why I am wondering if it's my phone.

It quite possibly is, that is very odd.
Have you gone 100% stock, then tried it? (you have modded the phone somewhat if you are flashing a radio)
Haven't done a ruu yet.

I would RUU 100% latest stock.
Then do a speed test with WiFi. If you get the same speed, return the device for a new one.
Alright sounds good. Cause I have trued a couple of different roms and get about the same speed. Cause someone told me it might have been a rom and since it's not I figured I would asks others.

At this point it could be ROM, Radio, or Hardware.
Best way to make sure is Stock RUU.

Try setting the WiFi frequency to 2.4 or 5 instead of auto

Agreed. This way, you get a baseline reading with the phone, with it operating "as it should" with the stock ROM and settings. If it doesn't work stock, then you are going to have a hell of a time trying to get it to work any other way, if at all.
Alright I ruu back. The one wifi speed is the same. and on my other router it is faster.
