On dx I had Ti-83 calculator emulator that was then changed to Andy calculator or something due to a TI request to the dev, it was free in the market. I can't find it anymore has it been pulled or just not available on tbolt?

I have Andy-86 but I can't find it in the market, I found it by searching Google
From the Dev's Website (supware.net):
"The ROM is no longer included with this app as demanded by Texas Instruments. The only way to legally obtain a ROM is to extract it from a calculator that you already own. Please see http://supware.net/roms for how to do that."
So, his app is just the emulator and it's BYO ROM's.
If you have a TI-83 with a link cable:

Ah. Thanks for both your help
Sweet, thanks tony, didn't think about putting my 89 on my phone.

Sure thing guys. Best of luck in getting working. I got lucky and jumped on it before the whole thing was pulled.
A Google search is always a quick tool too...

Ok. http://www.fmylife.com is absolutely hilarious. It is a site of things that have happened to people. It is a lot like twitter, they are small messages you post about crappy things that happened to you and people can vote either "Yes your life is f***ed" or "You had that one coming". I read it daily just for laughs and they have an API available to developers in the form of an XML feed to retrieve them. You can also have full control to log into your account and post another great FMyLife story thru the API. This would be great to be able to post them on the go straight from your Android mobile. Lol please check out this site and if a capable dev wants to give it a go I can set you up with the info. Thanks all, enjoy reading about peoples crappy lives!
That would be great if there was an app of that site
I had never heard of that site before.. but it's effing hilarious. RSS'd.
I just use http://iphone.fmylife.com
This is the greatest website EVER! Haha if you go twitter, just follow them. I just added them so no need for an extra app

Thank you so much. That works good and if I had twitter then that would probably work as well. And I completely agree with whoever the second poster was (too lazy to look rotfl) it is effin hilarious. It s a great way to waste a few hours reading all of them lol.

you're in the wrong forum buddy. This app is for android, not palm.
There is a 1x4 widget available for Android 1.5 (cupcake) users.
http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.mlst.fmlwidget
or search "fml widget" in market
there's a application in the market,
search for "FML" in the market, works amazing.

I know a ton of people check this subforum for new application releases from the big companies and I didn't see this mentioned.
Amazon Mobile has released an official application for Android.
Get it: http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.amazon.mShop.android
Search, compare prices, read reviews, and securely purchase from Amazon and thousands of other merchants. Includes Remembers: Snap a photo or scan a barcode, and we will try to find a similar product on Amazon.com. Many matches are instant; others take just a few minutes. Requires OS 1.5 or greater.

Thanks for posting this!
As I always do with big companies like this, I checked Amazon's website to see if they truly had released an app and someone wasn't just playing with us in a phishing scam. It's legit, it's real, and here's the link:
Amazon's Press Release
I'm not a huge Amazon user, but I do shop there from time to time. This is really a great way to reach customers. Kudos to Amazon!
Now if they could just make a Kindle reader for Android...

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) please post the apk file?
I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here
Amazon.com app
Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything
And I understand it probably only searches amazon.com, but I'm really not that bothered about that
There's already discussion on this. It was the third result when I searched: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544239
Duplicate thread. In future try searching before creating new thread

I was wondering if there are any apps like "cydia" or "install0us" on the iPhone or even like "OMarket" on windows mobile?
Nope... no alternative markets AT ALL for Android. Not sure where you'd get that idea.
unlike the iphone or win-mo, its easier for devs to submit apps to the android store... so there's not need for an alternate store

Lol...except there IS an alternate store. SlideMe is available... My original post was only because the guy asked a question that could easily have been answered by searching.

apktor ftw
thanks for the real responses, very helpful...
uansari1 there is no need for your response, it could have been omitted...if you wanted to emphasize that I should have just searched (which I did) then you could have said so without giving a smart *** response which leads to nothing productive and just an up in your post count (maybe thats what you want? ) honestly...what do you get out of your initial response ? nothing...what -maybe a laugh? (a mild chuckle at that ?) haha seriously...I hate when people post these condescending/ lame responses...but I understand if someone is trying to say just search or something, should have avoided your response and just said your intended message directly
any ways- thanks for ALL responses...I appreciate your feedback/ advices...
Hello, well today I was searching around the market and found this neat little app. It's called Andy-83 it's basically a TI-83 graphing calculator on your phone, and the best part it's free! I am not the developer or even working as an advertiser for this app. Just thought a lot of people would benefit from this app. Plus it saves you $140!
Sorry if I broke a rule posting this or if it has been posted already, delete this thread if it has.

I've done some testing for that dev (and some back in the winmo days.. ugh), and he's super cool-- has a site called supware.net (?). I'm pretty sure he's done a TI-85 and TI-86 emulator on the market as well.

I used this to replace the stock calculator a few weeks ago. It's so awesome to be able to pull out a complete graphing calculator out of your pocket. lol.
Ugh, makes me sad that I had to spend 150 bucks on my graphing calc for school when I can load this app on my phone for free. Been using this app for a while now and have loved it.

I think google removed it off the market. Bummer!
Yea, unfortunately he's had to discontinue the "Andy-XX" series while he works out some things with TI. Hopefully they'll be up again relatively soon. I don't know about the saving 150 bucks on an actual TI calc tho; every math teacher I've run across has made it very clear that phones weren't an option =(

Here ya go ladies and gents. Hit thanks if you appreciate the sharing.
Cheers.
